Whats stopping all you PVPers from just running fades with EACH OTHER? Why do people want unwilling participants? I don't stop playing Street Fighter when I beat the game. I go Online looking for SMOKE!!! YALL got thousands of hours in this game and act like it's trash with nothing do. I'm at 300 hours and feel like I just scratched the surface. I'm subbed, but I didn't even see this until I got home from work. My first MMO was Runescape (Runescape Classic and Runescape 2, Runescape 3, and OSRS). OSRS at one point was really down bad because people got to 99 and there was nothing to do. You could argue it was a "dead game" just like people say BDO is a "dead game" now. Eventually OSRS got more content and it's now one of the most popular MMOs. This is the direction BDO needs to go. OWPVP is not the answer and one time events is not the answer. There is not a single populated game with OWPVP because those games always self-cannibalize. They should keep making good content like bosses. I merc every day for guild bosses and it's nice to see all kinds of people playing together.

BDO should return to it's roots: it didn't garner 130mil players from a cron grind: where's the guild rivalry, lifeskilling with spreadsheets, overcrowded fishing spots, server stability that doesn't dismount random afk horse trainers and non-arsha open world pvp when the tuvala refuses dfs??? If grinding was fun, then you won't look at top spots for grinding. Now we gotta look at the top 3 to get out of the debo-grind hell ;)

as for the guild rivalry, it's the fault of players. They complain about pvp but won't fight and they build 'alliances' instead of fighting each other.

A lot of that wasnt what the majority enjoyed though. Like obviously fixing the cron problem, boosting server stability, and making lifeskilling on par with grinding would be absolutely fantastic and help the health of the game. But trying to unnaturally inject guild rivalry, and open world pvp "when the tuvala refuses dfs" back into bdo. first off, dfs is just a cringe concept to begin with. the MAJORITY of players dont care to pvp, and trying to bring back one sided open-world pvp would be a net negative. I do however agree that instanced PVP should be fixed and maybe arsha incentives. Just because something isnt popular doesnt mean that those people should lose what they enjoy. But when what they enjoy is actively hurting other peoples enjoyment of the game thats just selfish, and stupid. Fix instanced pvp, keep open world forced pvp punishing(even though its still barely that punishing), give arsha(the pvp servers) more of a reason for people to use them and pvp on them.

@@TheCosmicAstro- I agree as a long time EvE player OWPvP Karma is nothing. My ship I took 3 years building and everything on it blowing up in 5 seconds is punishing. I think ppl calling Karma changes punishment never played Full loot MMOs tbh. They are punishing, if you engage and lose you lose everything. Then let’s not talk about gankers need to make sure if your just trying to go into OW you have useless stuff on ya especially alone.

It’s be nice if there was a “Start Timer” function. After hitting that button, the game tracked “all” of the loot you received in “that grinding area. Then, displayed it in a ranking system by Name, lvl, class, quantity. 30k trash loot/ 50 Caphras/ 100 black stones/ etc. They “could” display price but the market averages change on items that can be placed in the market. This is just an idea to spark a better one that someone may have.

Its a good idea. Speedrunning is a great non-toxic way to bring competition, meaning, and community to any game. And it could be a great thing for BDO. Would have to set-up/use a website for it and figure out the minutia for rules, submitting recordings of your runs to prevent cheating. But the idea is fantastic and could be a fun way for the people with hardcapped gear to put themselves and their gear to the test.

I've said for a very long time that BDO needs a collection log similar to Runescape and the ability to track grinding/mobs killed as Runelite does. This takes away the labor for players of logging things like garmoth and makes a streamlined easy way to track information that players can compare or even improve on. BDO is at the age now where we need full transparency about how the game works and let the community create the game they want BDO to be moving forward. The polling system in Runescape isn't without it's flaws but I tell ya what, when something is polled and implemented, it's because it's what the masses want. This is what creates a successful future for BDO as it stands I believe

most player-based speedrun systems use websites and you have to record and submit your run with specific rules for it to be valid. games like trackmania they use the in-game replay system but the concept is the same.

Garmoth have also when you adding your numbers, space for YT site of your video. So there can be rule if you want be on leaderboards, you need add also video proof of your grind. Problem with fake numbers solved. Alternatively, PA could just add the Global Lab feature to the global where it just counts the trash, you set the timer to 1 hour and it counts all the drops for 1 hour.

I would say, I prefer RPG game where gear do matter, and inequality should be part of game. Path to become stronger is one of most important part of RPG from start. As in gym you try lift more, you don't have to be better than world champion, but you do it anyway, because you want to be better than you was, and you know is possible. Same with power in RPG if done well it should be possible to be stronger, bigger numbers mean nothing if they are not part of feeling stronger. About speed running, is good part of gaming, but it should not be goal of RPG.

FFXIV in a nutshell also. Once you beat the game, there is pretty much nothing left to do so people AFK in popular cities and flex their outfits or weapons for days, weeks, months, and even years. 😂

The game has limited content and once you complete the cool weapons, to me theres really not much to do, but thats also what makes the game good. WOW and ffixiv are raid/story based games and especially in ffxiv, where its very story driven and enjoyment lasts for the whole playthrough instead of burning you out cuz of infinite grind loop. TLDR they are hella difference.

Amen WoW is the same way !!! Then it resets next expansion even then it feels like a copy pasta of a previous expansion dungeons just new scenery. You can maybe do some Arena but that’s about it. All MMOs hit this point. The same things our vets complain about theme park vets complain about, all MMOs eventually get repetitive. Another thing they usually release gear for content before content. Like example WoW releases gear for heroic dungeons in normal then the gear to do mythic you get in heroic then you get end game then you do arena or do side stuff or simply sit it down till another expansion. BDO is going to be releasing more content when we don’t know but they announced years of content and I think it will come it’s a sandbox game either take a break or create your own fun. Stuff takes time to develop as well. There isn’t a MMO alive that doesn’t reach the point where there’s periods where the endgame feels shallow. The whole point of a sand box is long term progression and creating your own fun in your own way to a large degree.

PvE players need no donate, cose all lifeskills and talks on Velia's roofs need no gear. That the one biggest reason of BDO dying. PvE players is like a virus. It's just crying. Games is just a chat for this category of ppls. They just kill everything that they touched, if game developers do all that PvE players want. And good players just out from games that was killed by PvE, cose that games have no ideas more. Me talked with many BDO players, and 99,9% love soulslike's, DMC, Street fighter/Tekken/MK. The issue is PA does not listen to 70% of the player base. There are QOL features we have asked to be added for years and they still have not added them. Prime example we asked for a real costume system that 90% of mmo have, they still have not added it. You have tons of weapons and armors from base game that we still don't have skins and costumes. As i have said on forums, some players enjoy normal looking weapons and costumes. Not glowing effects on every item. Or as some of the female players have said, less revealing outfits

That's a great idea but how is it gonna bring the pvp'ers back to the game? The game has been killed by their own devs, there's no way the players can fix it. I have played BDO for almost 4-5 years with a close group of friends, we were around 7, we always were on the same pvp guilds and we did nodewars almost everyday and siege almost every week. None of us plays it anymore because we played it for the pvp, what we enjoyed was pvp'ing together, we only grinded so that we could actually do end game pvp. BDO is NOT a pve friendly game, you have to literally go around in circles for hours for the tinniest chance of getting a gear boost, which they made irrelevant after you reach 720gs. I personally was the 2nd highest geared on our group with 764gs, I haven't felt a difference in pvp since I reached 720gs, what is the point in playing a game where the class you choose is more important than the skill or gear you have? The game is great for those who want to pve and not do any pvp at all, if you want to play a hardcore grinder then BDO is gonna be great for you, but they ruined the game for the pvp'ers. They showed complete indifference for their most loyal players which were the pvp'ers, those were the ones that would always log in and play the nodewars, go grind a bit and even lifeskill in order to continue to be able to pvp in end game. They ignored our pleads and our suggestions about the changes in nodewars and pvp in general, they completely disregarded us as "persona non grata" in their game, slowly taking away the fun in pvp'ing. It is a sad state the game is at and honestly I think it's better the pvp dies out and is remembered of the good times that were 2019-2022. I remember running around with 269gs and actually feeling a big difference when fighting others with 261gs or 269gs, gear meant something back then and it was fun. Just to finish up on my friend group, some of them moved on to other games while others sold their account for a good paycheck, I am now addicted to tower defense games because I played them on my phone while playing the new nodewar system where you sit in a tower for 30minutes straight. I still hope me and my friends will one day return to the game where we met and the game that made us all hop on discord for hours talking while playing, if it doesn't happen, I will hold the good memories and curse PA until I die.

I give you respect for speaking about the state of the game. I played from day 1 and i must admit i have lost my interest in the game so much. I spent so much time and money into the game its scary. I really am wishing that something somehow changes with BDO. I carnt face another pointless enchantment grind whatever character they create. Im not knocking what you said but the last thing i want to do is compare myself to other players, its last thing i want to do. there is a fuckton of shit to to in end gear off world of warcraft. from classic to retail. there is: Arena,Battlegrounds,epic battlegroun, dungeons,raid, mythic+. getting ur dungeon score higher. mount farming, unlocking achievemnts easier, rated battlegrounds. solo arena. play with your freinds. duels. there is so much to do in other games other than BDO. we are missing the stuff to do with our gear in bdo atm and get rewards from it.

youre kinda trying to split things that are basically the same and call them something different. pvp,pvp, dungeon, big dungeon, dungeon, dungeon, dungeon/raid, pvp, achievement hunting, etc. This is like saying BDO has DOZENS of unique end-game options! you can grind trolls, dehkia oluns, dehkia 2 oluns!, Ash forest, Ash forest! ash forest!!!, dehkia Crescent, dehkia cadry, dehkia pila ku, tungrad ruins!, etc, etc etc. Its the same but slightly different. The difference between WoW and BDO is that bdo has the same but slightly different just like WoW, but BDO also has a bunch of different lifeskills and different goals to achieve, upgrading your boat, getting all t10 mythical horses, capping your lifeskill gear, shooting for high rankings on boss blitz bosses, etc. Whereas WoW is just dungeons, or mount farming, which is dungeons. BDO is far from perfect mind you. Just wanted to explain why your point wasnt exactly a good one.

I think theres a clear distinction between responsibility and opportunity here . Players don't owe anything to PA or their game, but lets not act like theres not been cases wheres consumers can have a huge impact. So I agree, we don't have to do anything, but we have the opportunity to try. PA listening is a different story 💀
