Verdict thank you for content like this , I love BDO , is it perfect nope but what MMO is , they all are grinding circles for gear , either in I’m grinding circles in Dungeons or Raids or in the open world to get gear to do it faster or at a harder lvl that’s every MMO! Tbh there are parts of BDO that no other MMO can even come close to like for example the combat and Professions do they need some updates? Yes but still the professions are top notch , not many others even come close. Then the group bosses and dungeons are win and hope they continue to add more content of that nature. I am so over the doom posting and complaining about the game even when they try to make improvements it’s never enough because a famous streamer said so. People like Quendya or Pansy fine they are acknowledging issues but voicing fixes as well not just complaining to complain. Like BDO is also running on a 10 year old engine that they have said they can’t change to a newer one , so some things are limited to what they are capable of doing compared to a new game in a new engine. BDO is and will stay my main game and if I ever get tired instead of complaining I’ll voice my opinions and solutions yeah but I take a break or break it up with a game like WoW or GW2 casually on the side. Over complaining. Take my time experience the games and not rushing through content so that I hit the end game and am sitting there with nothing to do for a year or 2 till they can develop new stuff. Most MMOs WoW included is 2 years before expansions. Stuff takes time to develop, I try to have patience and to me things are taking a more positive turn. Step in the right direction with PA.

Tbh at this point, I feel like some people not just streamers are complaining to complain and allot of it is because their favorite big popular streamers said so. I feel like they are projecting their negativity at this point just to deter new players as idk how many MMOs I have played idk know how many new players quit even though they are having fun because of a streamer and their community being negative towards the game. Most new players just want to play and have fun with others not hear ppl complaining about the game from log on till log off that behavior deters them I don’t think most of the big popular streamers don’t realize how much they actually impact new players coming into the game and trying it. Or they just want the game to die but T&L is honey moon phase atm and in 2-3 months when ppl realize end game there is worse outside of large scale only most of the players there will fall off likely. The large scale systems only as the combat sucks so badly. There isn’t much Open world or Casual PvP everything is instance , guilds have to much power over players drops , Once Arch boss gear drops next patch the power between whale and non whales will really start to show. Whale guilds will likely start to be the only thing left with tons of bots. Seen this in KR so , the next patch the power difference is gonna really start to show.

@@daniellesweeney4863 the problem alot of these "big streamers" are having is the same as pretty much every mid to end game player, which is outside of the pve grind theres nothing to use the gear you spend so many hours grinding for on, before there was the incentive of pvp you grind get gear learn you class join a pvp guild work your way up the ladder get into a top tier siege guild and you can have fun with your friends. BDO however have removed all the what I would call good/ competative aspects of pvp and that jsut made people lose the will to to push for anything in the game... the last couple of years has been all about the debo push whether people spend thousands of hours grinding or thousands of dollars when the "next" upgrade is released it all feels like shit why go for these upgrades theres no ap/dp brackets past a certain point PA can't be assed to update it. the main PVP is capped (AoS) theres only a small handful of guilds left doing NW's even t1's, Siege gets handed of everyweek since theres no one left to play it, War of the Roses only happens 1 every two weeks and is a lag fest where you cross your fingers hoping to get on the winning side otherwise you may aswell give up. From my personal view BDO is at it worst right now PA seem hell bent on ignoring pretty much any feedback they get while activley pushing updates/changes that make the game worse. PA ignored veteran players in favour of the new players but alot of the new players I see in the game these days are season or new class players there come back to the game if there a new class or a new season reset play for 1/2 weeks then leave I doubt PA are making money off these types where as you have entire guilds of verteran players that drop their entire 35 outfit limit on the MP every week and these guys are now quitting becasue they can't use their gear for anything.

I have been saying this statement from the start. The devs said from the start they base the cost of crons off grind areas silver/hour. I personally do not mind silver over raw cron drop because we spend the silver on what we need, not have another item in storage stacking up as we move up. Some player like myself have always stacked up blackstones, frags and shards knowing they are the basic of enhancements so they will always have a value. Cron dropping is not the issue to me. I do share the lack of group content that uses the gear we have built up.

The problem is we dont know what is "cheaper" it can be only 100 cron and they can say it cheaper as we sad, also the problem is you need cron for everything if you dont want to lose you progress in the game and the only way to get cron is form item shop/market if you can get one/npc, all other version were you can get its just a joke you get 1-5 cron on world boss nice xD

Regarding the player/whale relationship: BDO is actually not the only game with such a system. Warframe also has a system where whales will buy the premium currency, in this case platinum, and trade it with other players for items, so the platinum starts circulating throughout the entire playerbase. You can simply grind for items that people are willing to pay platinum for and grind out cash shop items without paying a single cent. The issue in BDO is, as you very well described here, the at this point basically mandatory step of buying outfits to sell them and as soon as that is not the most efficient option for the whales anymore, the supply for the non-whale playerbase is in danger of being cut off completely, thus creating a gigantic imbalance of power in the community.

gw2 also has such a system like warframe. direct exchange between gems and gold in both directions, and cash to gems one way only. bdo not having this direct exchange has all the bad aspects of a "pay to win" system without the benefits a fully direct system allows. bdo has other bad problems because it manages the economy too much. gw2 allows prices to fluctuate as much as the supply/demand takes it. some things fall to 1 c to the point where listing the item costs money because you can't make trading post tax back, all the way to 9999 gold (the most you can have on your account) if the item is "just that rare" as people buy things at a price they find fair and list things likewise eventually the true price is found. the fact that many items in bdo rarely get buy orders above min, and others rarely get sell listings lower than max points to the market's need to be uncapped.

Personally I'm not worried about crons. I'm playing to have fun, not to have max enhanced end game gear :) Crons will come in from here and there eventually anyway. BDO is not a game where to rush and I'm enjoying the long term progress (I know it is not for everyone and it doesn't have to be) :) When it comes to pvp, anyway people don't really need to cron anything, they can just buy ~320ap (no rng but of course lots of grind) straight from the central market which is enough to take down basically any player if you do a perfect combo :) BDO has been a grindy game since the very beginning so no surprise there :) Personally I never bought crons for real money or from npc or costumes from other players, I literally bought all my gear from the central market. And a few things I upgraded with the crons and hammers we get from events. My ap is close to 320 so all good ;) I just think some people are never satisfied no matter the solution. One solution is good for some and another solution is good for some others, but it is always difficult to satisfy everyone anyway :) Also some people think that they should be able to play the game for free or pay up to 10 dollars to access all the content and the company behind the game doesn't need more than that. To run a game, provide security, new content, events, bug fixes, customer support and so on, everything costs money. Why wouldn't PA want to make some more money. There are anyway not so many players who can afford to buy outfits for crons, so why care about it. Thanks to those few whales, who can afford and are paying PA good amount of money, players who doesn't want to pay get all the things PA does for us to keep the game running for barely any cost. And some people are making comments on what car Jae owns, but who wants to be the head of a big company anyway if the pay is so low that after many years you can't still afford to have a nice car. People are just always trying to find reasons to complain, but no one is forcing anyone to play BDO anyway :) To hope for BDO to improve and making suggestions is completely fine, but some people are just exaggerating way too much and complaining like crazy :D Idk if what I'm saying is understandable, I'm not so good at writing, but I just wanted to add some thoughts here :)

i think you kind of missed the point people are just tried of having to use crons, let us have another way to guarantee enhancements even something like caphras where you can get enough caprhas to enhance the armor to fallen god just another way then waiting on the cm for outfits or spending 33% more from vender. i can only dream cuz this idea probly would make them loss money

BDO has gradually becoming a whale game for the past 2 years. Vendor cron price increase by 33%, costumes providing more crons upon melting and the entire progression is funneled into the cron stones. With weekly costume bundles, you can literally just swipe to progress... I have been buying costumes for cosmetics for the past 5 years and I feel almost forced into melting them. It just feels bad and it never was the case 3-4 years ago.

Go try EvE online and come talk to me when your BIS ship that took a year or more to craft btw and a year or more worth of profits blows up in 30 seconds. Even Albion online is worse than losing Karma in BDO. In any OWPvP game there is penalties for forcing PvP. In most you lose everything you gear , money , everything in your inventory. Years worth of progress in 5-30 seconds is the penalty 98% of games use. If you think PvP is fun go do it ! It’s still there. Also what is so different about any other MMO they are all running circles for gear. To run harder circles for gear. Either you run circles in the same dungeons over and over again just on different lvls of difficulty or you run in circles grinding mobs at least BDO add mechanics to their mobs most other MMOs don’t. They even added dungeons and are adding raid but most ppl no life and skip over it. There’s definitely content in the game if you don’t no life it in 3 months and skip it all. Also when you do this in WoW you have to just either mount & trans mog hunt casually a few days a month or just sit it down till the next expansion drops and WoW expansions are always 2 years apart. FF14 not any different either. Or you can focus on professions in between but most games are like T&L professions grab shiny objects on map and at a vendor click on the item. Most have no depth only other games even close to BdO professions is OSRS & EvE online.

@@darkvision4566 also I think it’s pretty obvious what they are doing, they announced 10 years more worth of content coming. They are doing what’s called a soft reset. Open world sandbox games go about it differently then say WoW or Theme Park games where they reset everything every expansion by replacing gear with quest gear. Sandbox games don’t have that luxury. So they go about it different this is definitely a soft reset happening.

so, in gw2 players can buy gems with money, and turn those gems into gold. doing this makes the gem -> gold conversion change. for a very simplistic example if 1 gem is worth 100 silver then after exchanging 1 gem for 100 silver the next person would get 99 silver for a gem. the conversion here works both ways. you can also use gold to buy gems. so if many people are putting money into the game the rate becomes better for the f2p players. if many are converting gold to gems then it goes the other way and more people want to put money in to get a lot of gold. i don't know why black desert doesn't allow this direct kind of silver to pearl conversion. ya'll have all the bad parts of it but none of the good parts.

I work on the ship with a 9 or more months contract. My character almost do semi or afk content and earn 1b a day. I buy my gears or tap it using Cron, I don't buy pearls but almost end game in items. My only problem now is lack of open world PVP content.I just think those who are complaining are either entitled spoiled brats or just plainly don't know how to play the game.

@@K-EKG cron has always been designed to prevent downgrading. But with J hammers it made whales have unlimited attempts. Cron price set was because the whales wanted more value out of their cash. We didn't really care as much because the cron amounts were meh. But now with +10 per item it substantially requires more cron. But players are all jumping on cron desert online because they don't want to use it or find another way to get it. Getting it as a raw drop, even though it is less popular to think other wise is not a good solution since it only pertains to enhancing. As they stated raw silver is best and buying thru vendor is how they caculate your enhancing silver dump. Yes the RNG sucks but now they have given us a fixed non breakable accessory that we can slot.

To my knowledge it’s still cheaper to grind for an outfit for crons compared to buying it outright from vendor. Sure J hammers made it easier but it cost what 20B and are not a permanent implementation. Personally I stopped playing because it’s a waste of my irl time. I understand Verdict’s cope cause this is how he makes money, but I can’t understand how BDO players just love being shafted. It literally takes hours of your time for a MAYBE at a slim chance. Just grinding and buying all your gear is more sane and even that is a huge time sink.

5:40 yep, in mena the abundance thats me. I always sell 50~ premium outfits weekly. My wage is a bit high though but I work too much and can play only 3, 5 hours weekly. In terms of minimum wage, someone can buy 300 outfits with his monthly salary. I earn 5 times the more money and buy 200 putfits monthly. Is that much? 😊 almost 1/7 of my salary.
