My husband died in April of this year; he left a list of things he wanted to do, say, tell me - this song was one of those and I just listened, and cried, today. I know he loved me completely and I'm so grateful to have had him in my life for 32 years. My darling, your love is part of me and I will always remember. Music was a powerful love we shared. This song is a treasure to me. Thank you Garth.

This song is so special to me. It reminds me of my Late Fiance that I lost in January of 2020. He would play and sing this song to me, not knowing that he would pass away from Cancer. He was an awesome person, Kind Hearted, Humble, and A Hard Worker, working still his last Days. The day before he passed he apologized to me for leaving me here in this world only to face it alone. He gave me much Happiness and I was Honered To Be Called His Fiance, and as He would say Honered To Be His Wife. I will always remember how much you brought into me Life, the Remarkable patience you had, and your gentle loving ways. I will forever keep your Memory Alive along with your Beautiful Legacy. 1996 Garth was in Phoenix AZ, I had got my son and I tickets, my dad was hospitalized a few days before the concrt and passed shortly after midnight the day of the concert, we went to the concert with heavy hearts, during his funeral I found out that there was actually 3 groups of relatives also at that concert, none of us lived in Phoenix that was at the concert, I think now every time any of us hear Garth Brooks, we think of my father, in a sic and twisted fate I have now also lost my son, he took me, for as Father's Day gift to see Ted Nugent, a few years before he passed, but I still think of them both when listening to any Garth Brooks songs. Rest in peace to those lost we shall never forget you.

This was the song between me and my ex fiance. I sang this to her in 2010 on Valentine's day when we got together. She left me 4 years later because drugs completely consumed me and I lost touch with what we had together. I've been clean for 5 years now and I still listen to this song from time to time but now when I listen to it I'm numb. I feel nothing. This song used to bring back the feeling of the first touch, the first kiss, the moment when I got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife, this song was going to be our wedding song. This was the song that defined us as a whole. But sadly there's nothing left when I hear this song. Fast forward..... I'm happily married of almost 2 years and our song is take your time by sam hunt and we played this is it by scotty mcreery as she was walking down the isle

To tell you the truth, I didn't like Garth Brooks at first. But, when I heard this song, that all changed. I'm a singer myself and I am getting ready to record a CD. This song will DEFINITELY be on it. Beautiful song. It hits home for me. Thanks Garth.

My great grandpa passed away in 2018 and he was married to my great grandma for 59 years & with 6 kids before he left us and I know for a fact he made sure to show my grandma how much he loved her each and every day and the love he left her with is enough because she is still thriving in life at 87 years old. He was an amazing man and always knew how to make sure his family knew that they were all loved deeply. & I have been with my fiancé a little over 5 years now and I just pray to God that he continues showing me how much he loves me everyday like my grandpa showed my grandma up until the day when tomorrow never came..❤️ I love you & miss you so much Grandpa!

This song reminds me of my children. Love her and including my son... Never been the best mom but I made sure they did receive chances I never did by sacrifice myself. I am glad they have a chance in this mess up world we live in. Very proud of my children. God please help keep angels always be by their side. Thank you

Dedicated this song to my ex long ago. She left 3 years ago with not a glance back. Left a lot behind crushed a lot of my dreams and what we built.Told her she was my world before she left she rolled her eyes and said "ya". Still haunts me till this day what she said. Like what we had was nothing. 16 years together.Till this day I still struggle with what happened and its hard for me to see her. Idk why this song popped up in my mind out of the blue but it did. Still love her as much as the first time I said I love you to her.Even tho shes moved on, Ive tried and I just cant. But in the end I trust Gods plan.

So far 2020 has been the worst year of my life... first 1,000s upon 1,000s of people died to covid 19... then to make everything worse... I lost both my nans on the same year do to the same thing ... god I hate cancer ... my dads mom died 3 days before here birthday on April 21st... my moms mom died in July... it only felt like it happened this morning... I have the same nightmare over and over again getting a phone call 5:30 am and 7:30 am hearing mom and dad crying in the other room... I just wish this was a dream and I wake up in the morning and everything was back to normal...but this is real... I just wish I can give the 2 of them one more hug...I miss them so much... thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you are making it through this ruff time in life..

I absolutely love Garth Brooks. This song has now taken on a different meaning to me. While I have lost many I treasure I now have been diagnosed with the possibility of colon cancer. I have a son and grandson who mean more to me than life itself. I’m not afraid to die. I’m afraid that I won’t get to see them at all the important events their lives still hold. Only God knows what will happen going forward. I leave it all to Him. Merry Christmas everyone and don’t forget to tell people how much you love them. 🦋🦋🦋❤️❤️❤️

You won't find a more true and beautiful song than this one. We must understand that everything we know will pass away. What will we leave behind? Will it be memories of a person who only thought about himself or herself or will it be memories of a love that death cannot sever. I choose love. Hope you will join me.
