I used to have this belief that everything had to look perfect on the outside instead of real because I cared about how others may perceive me. But their perception of me is not on me, my authenticity is my responsibility. Today I LOVE being perfectly imperfect, thanks to your help over the years. ♡

Perfectionist are not seeking a perfect item or situation. But rather a confirmation and comfort feeling about something so to seek affirmation from an outside perspective of another person or object so that you can feel that you accomplished something correctly.

This was something I struggled to overcome for a while. I was so into the idea of being perfect at my job, then I ended up having a panic attack and went to the hospital. After that moment, I realized that no job is worth that level of stress. I started managing my work/balance, meditating, and just accepting the outcome, and now I have more respect from my coworkers than ever, less stress and worrying, and more focused time for myself and my son.

For me it's about excellence in Godly balance, as perfection isn't real. We are constantly in transition, and so perfection fails change. Excellence is obtained over time, it becomes bolder, wiser, better informed, therefore better in it's design and capabilities. Excellence feels really good when you achieve it, a sense of peace. I love it!

Perfect message for those like myself who think they have perfection figured out. My ego needed a good kick in the behind for me to wake up to the impossible task of "being' a perfectionist. Who's job is this really? Only one fits the bill...God or the devine....We can certainly strive for it, but even those who have reached sainthood have admitted they make mistakes. This world was meant for us to make mistakes and learn from them in order to evolve. I would say it would be a pretty dull place if that weren't the case. Thank you for your video....

Thankyou for this video, it is very helpful. It confirmed I was on the right path in this area. I let go of seeking perfectionism about a year ago, what I noticed was a huge weight off my shoulders. I let go of controlling behaviours. I found that letting things just be, going with the flow and allowing flexibilty in each area of my life reduced stress levels & all became more manageable. In my opinion no one & nothing is perfect why did I waste time & energy trying! I'll file it under learn & grow 😃

my perfectionism comes from being grounded in high school because my grades weren't good enough for my Dad's and stepmoms standards. my grades were not great but I feel like my Dad could've handled it better than isolating me from everything that was essentially keeping me alive because I was also struggling with severe depression and I was legitimately trying my best for what I could've done at the time. I actually look back at due dates for school and despite teachers saying its so they can grade the students work on time but I think It may also be a good source into getting people out of the perfectionism mind set.

I believed things were perfect when I was satisfied with the outcome or result of something. (Ingrained from childhood!) Slowly I began to realize I was driving myself & most everyone else crazy! I did recognize where I got this trait from but still it took me way too long to even try to let it go. However I am so grateful that I have seen the light & I now give myself “permission “ to chill the f*#

We can’t learn or succeed if we don’t even take a shot because we fear losing or making mistakes. We Might not get our hearts almost broken in two if we don’t open our hearts to sincere love, but we most Definitely won’t get sincerely loved if we don’t open our hearts to try. There are many types of love also, not just romance. A person can waste an incredible amount of time trying to appear as a certain type of individual just to gain love and attention but they will never be able to enjoy it because they feel false, down deep. Spend the energy actually Being that way genuinely and you’ll be more open to love- if you can love yourself (not in any conceited form). Let’s all try to remember “We are all just walking each other Home.” ~Makarios love lights! 💞✨

Oh I’m definitely a perfectionist… The “perfect” is a place I’ll never arrive because it doesn’t exist, it’s just a concoction of my own mind based on unrealistic societal expectations of things that aren’t realistically possible, but I was gonna try anyway because that gave me an escape from the things I was too afraid to look at ✌️ does that mean I get a cookie lol This video is so true about just starting imperfectly and messing up and embracing that.. thank you for sharing! 🙏

thanks for making such a nice effort to define it. I think that perfectionism is as you said is an attempt for safety. perfectionism is the assault of the ego against the beauty of our imperfections. That somehow we are perfect In our vulnerabilities we strive to be unassailable it is not perfect. the definition of perfectionism is interesting....

That’s Interesting that you pointed out and explained the “shadow” of the “perfectionist”. That really helps, because I def feel like this and it def stems from childhood. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I def mess up but when I feel failure I take it personally and it spirals and stops me from taking more action. I instantly just stop working on my dreams or slow alllll the way down. 🙄🫣 Thank you for addressing this Aaron. Feeling stuck now and needed this message today. 🙏🏽

I know something is "perfect" when it works for everyone involved and there is a flow to the task / project. Everyone is inspired and motivated by the mission and does their part. I do believe there is the most efficient way to do anything. Not healthy all the time especially when it costs me my health but the above has been true as well so hard to break that pattern. I agree with the bumps helping to make things more efficient / perfect. Bumps are necessary. But there is a "perfect" or most efficient/optimal way to do everything. Just gotta find that which takes time.

Perfectionism is basically integration. Integration to what? To a secret that is not a secret. You integrate into your body by being present. Not spectating. Doing shadow work is basically bringing your shadow into the light, also bringing what was in the dark into light. Perfectionism is a misconception not a conundrum, there's a huge difference. Integrate your shadow self into the stream of consciousness, basically enlightenment, basically the light, that spark you hold within your eyes. From thoughts to knowing. Integration is perfection, also meaning virtuous and benevolent. That's as honest as honest gets. Where's my meow?

As a musician, I thought I had objective criteria for judging what is perfect - right notes, rhythms that flow "correctly." Numerous times I edit a video and say that's perfect. Sleep, come back the next day, and say What the heck was I thinking??! So, nothing's objective - really.

Every living being or even non being living for instance water and snow flakes achieve the higher form of the universals perfection. So yes every single human being and every living being on this planet and outside of it into this entire universe and the multiverse they achieve the perfection in a universal form. It's a myth that we cant be perfect, yes we can be perfect of we can strive hard for it for instance you have achieved perfection over the years that I have been listening to you. Just like that everyone has the capacity and just that its hidden. Once they know their full potential they will themselves achieve the perfection. A taoist archives the perfection in the water element, a phonies achives perfection in the fire and even the so called dragons. According to gita god the supreme deity is in everything and everyone. I believe that.
