Hobbies are things I enjoy plus I have played in a community band since I was l5. I am the oldest in it. The young members are good to me and I in turn help them learn the music. It's fun and God willing I still want to continue with this activity. I play the piano every day, a little slower than before but I am still doing it. But, I feel a form of love for your lifetime partner and can only say some is better than none sure would have been for you, you both even. That's great you have so many memories. But the sad part is all the times you wish they were still right there to share the moment with you. Many blessings with your new car. Tell it you'll kick something if it doesn't cooperate. My grandsons, now 8 and 10, keep me on my toes. I do all the cooking and food shopping, put them on the school bus in the morning, and meet them when they get home. We go on outings on the weekends, vacation together, and enjoy birthdays and holidays with all the joys little kids bring with them. I am too busy to feel sorry for myself, or, feel lonely. Every night, I go in my room with my dog Prince, and dream about my wife. When my time comes, I hope to find her again. That would be Heaven for me.

Like many people, we did some foolish things financially when we were younger. We learned the air of our ways and paid off our home last month. I agree: be curious, try to learn something new every day, and be able to admit when you're wrong, but also, when someone disrespects you, confront them immediately, then don't brew over it. That can be very hard, but you have to work at it.

I play guitar and/or bass in the church band (with some of the most talented musicians and vocalists), I ride a Honda Goldwing Trike (South Dakota this year, Dragons tail and triple nickle last year, who "whole hog" in Arkansas the year before that). Occasionally I do a music show at "old folks" homes. Haha, old folks! I read the bible, I read history, I travel (home and abroad). I pay tithe to my church. I see some of my children and grandchildren every week. Others (far away) I see every year. I have been blessed beyond measure. Thank You Jesus 🙏

I go to our internist twice/year and take only BP med. My physician says my husband and I are her Poster Children (or Poster Old People). I feel about 30 years old and am so thankful for my agility, ability to be active, and excellent health. Both parents lived to 98. People age differently and my hubs and I are truly blessed.

We have a wonderful supportive family who helps me with wife when needed. We are able to have a house keeper that also washes clothes and irons. I once worked at Jerry Barber's golf club manufacturing company in Burbank, California. He was a very nice man to have worked for. I still have a "Golden Touch" 2 iron as a memento. My job was to adjust the loft and lie on new and customer golf club irons to specific angles using a rubber mallet and table-sized protractor. I was age 19 and thought it was the most boring work on earth. Happy "88" when it arrives! If you call, email or text me I'd have to share my "I'm broke as a joke" secret, so don't maybe. I think you're a human-hero for being a caregiver to your wife who can't walk. Married for 55 years is remarkable, so I'm remarking! That you both have wonderful family is a sweet blessing not all have. So don't even have a doggy or a goldfish. Tranquil contentment is what I find keeps you young at heart. "Age can never hope to win while your heart is young" I received a fortune cookie back in 1994 that says that, and I got it right in front of me here where I can see it. Life... it's all in how you see things, recall things and what emotion you glue onto. Fell sad? No. Feel Happy! Think of a time you did somethin g that made you very, very happy and honor the memory of the experience so it lives on and on! Look at vintage happy pictures, if you have them, as often as you can until your mind soaks them up like a dry sponge soaks up water. Be yourself and not what the world of individuals or groups would have you be. Maine says to say "hello".

Hello, I,m 76 years old. I,m still working as a BRIDGES AND BUILDINGS electrician. I work for a commuter rail transit system. I,ve been a licensed electrician since 1972. I,m proud of my work especially after a night's work of trouble tracing, such as railroad draw bridges malfunctioning. I,m new to this assignment and have a lot to learn, because of computer driven controls. I also have a deep love for railroad transit. I also take advantage of the perks riding free inter-moding with pedal bike on board. Hence, I ride pedal bike everyday two and a half miles one way. Even in winter. I equip the pedal bike with studded tires. .. Riding bicycle is another rulling passion in my life. I,ve been commuting to work on a pedal bike since 1994. However, I do have my medical issues pertaining to joint replacement. In January I have to have my right hip replaced. Also eventually both knees need to be replaced. I more or less bite the bullet, and take some alive to manage pain, I still tak3 care of my self and feed my self with whole grain vegetarian diet. Also practice Transcendtal meditation, and say prayers to God every day. It's fulfillment. Also physical fulfillment bike riding inspire of joint pains. WORKING IN A RAILROAD ENVIRONMENT, CAN BE UNFORGIVING WITH ACCIDENTS. ESPECIALLY WITHIN THE FOUR FOOT RULE OF LIVE TRACKS. ALSO GOING INTO HIGHVOLTAGE SUBSTATIONS. I DO MY DAILY SAFETY BRIEFINGS DOCUMMENTED. I WEAR MY PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT ESPECIALLY GOING INTO HIGH VOLTAGE SUB STATIONS. Hence it is a required constant state of alertness. Yes, as a gay woman, I do have my companions. However I live alone because of my hobbies of modifying and doing specialty welding of stainless steel onto my old classic vehicles from the 1970s and 1980s, done in areas where it rusted out. That is another area that keeps me happy. I hope God can let me live to 120 years. There is a lot I have to fulfill. And yes I own my own home, with my creature comfort attached garage I consider the best room of my house........... Miss Paula Walach-former industrial electrician-Union member IBEW still employed full time.

I no longer hunt or fish but do continue collecting glass insulators. Something I have done since I was 15 years old. We traveled to Germany two years ago to visit our second family which was most rewarding. We have since took on two Bassett hound puppies that immediately stole our hearts and became part of the family. Daily walks are a must and cuddling in the evening is good too. Been married for 47 years and we are both in all good health. Our son is grown and successful in his own right along with his gal pal who is also successful in the medical field. We are ALL very, very blessed, and give thanks daily for all we have. Thank you for this video.

My own purpose is to serve God by teaching His Word to those who want to learn from my years of Bible study. In order to do this, I must keep up my studies in Greek and Hebrew in which I am constantly discovering new and wonderful truths. I’m 86, widowed since 2020, but so blessed. Have 2 children, middle aged, but loving and helpful when I need help. I am active in my church, and part of a group that crochets lap robes for the elderly in assisted living and memory care, have lots of friends, a friend of 40 + years, and a dog who has been my pet for 8 years. I am lucky to drive, have my own home and enjoy other hobbies. 😅

I just turned 71, but I do not identify with my age. I still feel as I did when I was thirty or forty. I *stack sats in cold storge* with whatever I have surplus from my pensions. Although it seems to be a financial matter, it is also a hobby and a great ongoing learning experience. I find it amusing that this has given me hundreds of thousands of dollars in unrealized gains... which I am happy to say that I do not need yet. I still dig up my vegetable garden, travel to distant places, and share it all with my spouse. Growing up very poor, I never imagined the riches that I am now enjoying. I have been blessed far beyond my wildest dreams.

79 and still wonder at the universe every day . Living fully in Gods creation is a blessing indeed . Cooking complex Gourmet meals for us is great fun . Study medical science so I can interact with those witch doctors lol . Retired lawyer but I have run a precast concrete plant , built sailboats , sold yachts imported from Poland , member of society of safety engineers, and I can hold my own bantering with health care staff , heath is reasonably good but every day is a gift that is why they call it a present .
