My grandma passed away just 3 months before her 100yo, because of the forced sedentarity of lockdowns. She was a strong woman, worked as entrepreneur until 85yo, walked a lot (A LOT!), when she was young, it was WWII and she had to walk from Paris to her mom village in Brittany (450km one way) to look for food. Her own grandma walked a lot too, and she lived until 100yo (1875-1975) without seeing any doctor of her life. She used to lift a lot of weights in her many works even at 85yo, had a lot of strength. We had a lot of laugh and fun with her, always wanted to share and teach us some things, played cards, tell us what happened in her life, always give. I'm pretty sure the fact that she part raised us, had some life at home the weekends, helped her to have the love of life : "I would not die until you're not safe children". She was kind but not weak (if you had seen how she could react when someone tried to do bad business with her😅). Grandma slept well but not too long, after she stop working she used to sleep a little bit in afternoon; never made a diet but didn't eat that much except the diner where she never said no to a piece of cake or a sweet treat. She used to eat some fruits, vegetables too as soups, and some meat, giblets and fermented food, bread, and a lot of eggs (10 weekly at least), a lot of water. Never spent a day without 2 coffees too , 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon. Voilà, that was Grandma's way of life. Good luck everyone for the 100yo goal 🤞

I'm in Italy now and I grew up in Japan. There is a huge difference between being a vegetarian and a mediterranean diet. 11 out of the 12 super centenarians, whom I have met and interviewed in Italy and Japan all ate meat and fish and most importantly cheese. 8 of them were over 110 year olds or there about. The Japanese elders eat a lot of seafood. I also consider Japanese diet mediterranean as well. You can live long as a vegetarian but you can even live longer with a mediterranean diet with animal proteins if you eat organic and restrict the carbs. My grandfather lived to a 107. He died quietly in his sleep without alzheimers or cancer or diabetes. He ate fish, grass fed beef and free range chickens, mushrooms, cheese, with lots of vegetables often doused with extra virgin olive oil. He ate little organic carbs. The only thing he never touched was sugar. He always ate chocolate. But they were homemade, cacao mixed with olive oil and monk fruit and a little xylitol or honey with the comb which was often supplied by our local farmers. He often took some of the dark chocolate for his long walks. His diet was mostly breakfast and lunch during week days or lunch and dinner on weekends. The rest of the time he ate nothing. His diet mostly consisted of all the vitamins mentioned in this video.

Most health issues are caused by nutrient deficiencies they don't teach that in corrupt america. That includes mental health issues, chronic headaches issues, breathing issues, balance issues, altimers and dementia and this goes on and on. All because of nutrient deficiencies. You check nutrient levels in your body by blood tests, you almost never hear of drs tell you to check your nutrient levels in america there all about toxic medications and are not fixing the underlying issues. Completely wrong. Pretty much only holistic drs will tell you in america about nutrient deficiencies that are causing health issues. And most nutrient normal levels are wrong in testing your levels in america. They allow very low numbers in "normal"nutrient levels to be a nornal level when your really deficient. So its rigged to keep you sick unless you have a holstic dr look at your nutrient levels in america. Most regular DRs dont know nutrition and when they read your nutrient level is normal and they say everthing is fine when its not. If you're at the low end of normal you're deficient in america. For example in america they let normal b12 level to be as low as 200 that is completely false. In japan the lowest they allow as a normal level is about 550 because you start getting deficiency symptoms of b12 under 600. the reason why japan and nordic countries are the healthiest and happiest countries in the world is because their governments are for them and standard medical care is nutrition first. that means nutrition blood testing and not medication first. food and supplements are medication. Usa is prob the least healthiest country in the world, while nordic countries and japan are the healthiest in the world. example japan has the least amount of dementia and altimers because they have their people check for b12 deficiecies which causes them.

Genetics plays a big part of it - i knew a person who lived a healthy lifestyle, exercise, etc all their life - yet, past away in their late 40's - cancer ran in their family, they though they would at least get to 60. There is no magic formula to living long - there are people who live past 100 that drink and smoke. In China and Japan have a lot of people who live over 100 years then the West. we all know what to do: keep active, reduce/stop eating processed food, reduced stress, keep the mind healthy - lets admit it - very hard to do in the West - even health food are no so healthy ..!!! there is salt, sugar, fats in almost every thing we eat.

It all depends on your genes. Many people who smoked and drank , and were sedentary, have lived to be a hundred ; while many others who neither smoked nor drank and exercised regularly have died of a heart attack at very young age. You can never predict what's going to happen, however it's good not to have bad habits. I think the luckiest people are those who have managed to reach the century mark despite having all bad habits !

@@brianterence3211 Never spoke about the immune system. A person's genes or DNA can influence the outcome of diseases . For instance some genes can "turn off' or "turn on" cancer cells that might appear due to one's lifestyle. People can become prone to ailments like Diabetes or Alzheimer's disease due to a variant in their genes. Some research has been done by Dr. Laura Zimmermann MD in this field and she writes about Genes vs Lifestyle and how, not one but different, genes in one's body can influence longevity .

I've known many elders over 80 that eat pork, drink and probably don't pop supplements everyday but are always jolly. My grandfather is 96. He still drinks his Captain Morgan, eats meat and doesn't exercise. His mind is sharp and lives pretty much on his own. Not to say all of those things are important because they are. I exercise, supplement and try to eat healthy but I pay extra attention to my thoughts and spiritual well being.

Looking at such cases, people should change their thinking. If we're talking about people who are lucky enough to have a combination of good genes, they live really long, and their eating habits and lifestyle may be inappropriate for others. The family lottery for the winning gene pool works. Just look at how many long-lived people there are. A handful, so you can't look at them as your teachers, because they often did not lead a healthy lifestyle. And most of the population is not so lucky with such genes. We have to imitate people who have an average gene pool in which there are no long-lived people and, thanks to their habits, live to a ripe old age. Because you know you can learn something from them

All of your B Vitamins is important. Stand alone is not how to make the vitamin work. They work together, one B Vitamin can lower other B Vitamins. One of the most important vitamins left out was B6 You want to make sure the B1 B12 and your Folate is all Methylated. For elderly patients they often take a low moderate dose B Vitamin, then you can increase the dosage of individual B Vitamins like Benfotamine, B12, B6 B9 and B3 as needed. As for Vitamin D3 most patients are taking 10,000-15,000iu daily along with 90mcg of K2 MK7 to keep Calcium routed to the bones, not into the bloodstream. Geriatric patients are always low on B12 and D3 both of which are essential for optimal Immune Function.
