Moving to St. George, Utah? Reach out to me, I'd love to help! Cody@fastutahhomes.com

You'd love to help us become so overcrowded we're basically living on top of each other, travel 40min just to go to a local store that took 10 or less, and use up our dwelding water resources. Realtors are all the same greedy people who care for nothing but making money and not about the future of cities and state. I guess you can say I'm bitter. I've lived here 44+yrs and have seen this city go from stunningly beautiful to a big massive mess. All because of greedy politicians, contractors, and developers. Your job isn't helping our county it's hurting our county. Videos like this on KZbin encourage people to move where many don't want them. I just wish realtors would stay away from social media and stop encouraging people to move here through that means.

I have lived here for the past 10 years. It is getting pretty insane. They keep building like crazy in the barren desert, and the RE prices are sky high. There are not enough services. Not enough food stores. Wheels dependent everywhere you go. The roads are getting very crowded. Basically, St. Geo has doubled in size since 2014, but the roads are about the same. I am looking for a better place.

Currently live in Tennessee. That is my reason for wanting to move. Enough said. I am looking at St George for several reasons... The state itself is absolutely stunning (as are the skies there), it is close to Arizona (which is still in my number one spot for 'states I want to move to'), homeschool laws are great in Utah, Google said St. George is the warmest city in Utah (which is actually what led me to look further into it), seems to have a lot of things to do, population is great - not too crowded, and it is in close proximity to SO much beauty. I own my home in TN and plan to keep it, so I would actually be looking to rent for the first year to be sure it is a good fit for me and my family. This video is extremely well done and you have answered questions I did not even know I had. What is the rental situation looking like there for houses (not condos, townhomes, and definitely not apartments)?
@kourtneylehman4104 ай бұрын
DON'T MOVE HERE. We may not look overcrowded, but we are very overcrowded, and we don't have the resources for more people. Our water supply is very low traffic though better then Tennessee is worse by the standards of those who have lived here 44+years. Rent for a studio apartment is over $1,300 to 1,500 and other apartments are about the price of say New York apartments. We are expanding so fast that in the next 5 to 10yrs we are going to burst and everyone here will suffer. DON'T MOVE HERE I BEG OF YOU STAY AWAY. These videos paint a very good picture of our cities, but they are not pretty when people are seen on every street corner and our homeless rate is increasing. You'd be better off moving to Arizona if that is your 2nd pick.

Great video! Looking to relocate from cold Minnesota in 2025. I like the Washington area; specifically Green Spring. Looks like a lot of HOA neighborhoods which I’m not a fan of. We don’t see that as often in Minnesota. Looks like it’s more common in Utah.
@livinginstgeorge Жыл бұрын
Yes, the HOA's are a lot more common here in Utah, but you can find areas without them, so that shouldn't be too concerning. Looking forward to helping you when the time comes! Thanks for watching!

@@livinginstgeorgeDon't encourage more crowing here. encourage people to move elsewhere.
@kourtneylehman4104 ай бұрын
I've known a few people who have moved cause their HOA are insanely high and they can't afford them. If looking to move here, DON'T. HOAs or not we are overcrowded and our precious resources are dwelling. We have been told here to limit our water use especially in maintaining our grass. I'd advise you to move where there are no HOAs and the state or city is not struggling to support their people as we are struggling to do here in this county.

Would you happen to know if St George townhomes are required to have a fire sprinkler system inside? Thanks for any info.

What are your thoughts on the water situation with all of the new development?
@kourtneylehman4104 ай бұрын
The water system is horrible as it is dwelding with all this development. I use to have nice spring water from a well now I have horrid water that I have to filter to drink. I use a Britta filter. Many people have to filter their water, tap water is horrid tasting and if my mother who also lives here drinks the tap water it makes her sick.

DON'T MOVE HERE I REPEAT DON'T MOVE HERE. we don't want more people we want our water supply back to normal, and we don't want people moving here driving up the cost of homes. Many of our own residents who have generations here are struggling because of all the move ins. DON'T MOVE HERE. STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY.

Thanks for the video very informative. But it seems to me like St George has alot of "cookie cutter" type homes in subdivisions. Nothing wrong with that. But im mor interested in areas with no HOAs. Where building permits are a little more lax. Even if its just outside of town. Im more of a traditional neighborhood type person
@kourtneylehman4104 ай бұрын
Hard to find places here that don't do HOAs. We have been struggling in this county to maintain our water supply. If you look at our older areas instead of new areas you'll find more diversion in homes.

California refugee here 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️ we are considering a move there possibly in about 2 years when my husband retires. What does the private school situation look like? From my google research, only 2 private Christian schools pop up in all of St George. Are there more? Are more coming? What does Utah public education rank? Where does the board of education lean politically for the state of UTah? It’s important for us as it is why we are leaving CA.

Salt Lake City, Park City and Heber are very liberal if that's what you're looking for.
@leslienelis3015 ай бұрын
@@Seabass42 LOL!!! It’s exactly what I’m NOT looking for. That’s why St. George is more appealing to us. I’d stay in CA if I wanted liberal. High crime with lower police responsiveness, higher taxes on everything, high homelessness & drugs, policies that take away parents rights . No longer a place for us & I thought I’d never say that.

We in Washington County are being over run by Californians and would appreciate you folks staying in your own DAMM STATE. DON'T MESS UP OUR STATE JUST CAUSE YOUR STATE IS BROKEN. STAY IN YOUR OWN STATE AND TRY FIXING IT. The schools here are lacking behind other states. My sister who has a family of five kids came here to Utah and her kids were bored with school as they were way ahead in their school in Nevada. The Utah school system needs a major upgrade. We don't pay our teachers here near what other states pay their teachers and we still use the old school system that was introduced back in the days of the factory workers of 1920s. If your looking to move where the schools are great AVOID Utah, you'll thank me later.

@@kourtneylehman410 we choose private school anyway. Sorry about your grievances but you’re not gonna get rid of us. Most people leaving are republicans and looking for a red state to live in. Illegals flowing in and voting blue is not our fault. How about voting for a president that cares about the border.

I personally wouldn't say we have a lot of crime. Crime had certainly gone up, but it's nowhere near what other cities and states have. I do agree that people should move elsewhere and not in Washington County.

Try it was better in Washington County 30+yrs ago. I am a 44+yr resident and I use to love living here now I live here just cause my mother whose lives here, her health is failing and needs me. Otherwise, I would have left years ago, my two sisters did. Washington County is going downhill very fast. By 2030 it will be impossible to live here. We just need to keep encouraging people to stop moving here. It may not work, but we can try.
