I have moved in Turkey from Afghanistan and it is the first time I am living alone far from my family members. I broke a serious and long lasted relationship which was so hard to come out of it. Plus, as a girl in Afghanistan in this harsh situation of my country, I lost my job. And suddenly my world became upside down. Still, adjusting with a new environment is a whole another animal. I am lost, to be precise, and do not know which ball should I opt for juggling. Most of the times I even lose my path. Consequently, I criticize myself a lot to the point that I thought maybe I have gotten some mental problems. However, after watching your video, I feel soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo calm and serine. I am sure I can sleep well tonight. And I know I should follow you for more videos and tips. More people need you and need to find your channel. Please keep on strongly like you do. With love and respect.

Honestly it’s so hard to say anything to this because I know you have even through so much! You definitely should grant yourself self love, patience and understanding. Some years all we can do is survive and that’s a feat in itself. You have been extremely strong and brave! At the same time, please don’t feel alone - if I leant anything from making my videos is that more people than we realize share our thoughts and feelings of isolation, hopeless and being lost. Sending you lots of love and light! Hope 2024 is a beautiful year for you, filled with happiness, health and joy.

I feel like I've found a hidden gem on youtube (your channel :) ) As for the video: I like the "wheel of life" concept. It basically shows that when people concentrate on one aspect of life too much they automatically tend to neglect other parts. Work-life balance is a popular phrase, but I also think that life-life balance is very important :)

I found your channel yesterday and today I got this recommendation right on time. When I am stressed and overwhelmed and I feel like I am juggling too many of balls. Many of them are not mine but I worry if I stop juggling then noone will take care of them and pieces from a broken glass balls will pierce me the most. Thank you for this video.. I feel better after watching it.
@lostinadmiration Жыл бұрын
Ah that sounds like such a tough situation and a very difficult decision! What I always try to remember myself -also remind my mom who is also in a situation like you described very often - is that if you get sick, drained, if you neglect your mental health, then you won't be able to handle any balls at all. So to do things for others, or take on some 'extra' balls, you have to be sure you are not doing this at the expense of how you feel. Which I know often is impossible, but just try your best to remember to take care of yourself!!!

@lostinadmiration Жыл бұрын
I feel that I am now! I have my partner and a few friends I would die for (although we are not in the same towns which is hard) and my parents are the best (here I won a lottery). My dad had a very hard childhood, and his context was difficult so also I know how hard it is to heal from such a situation, how much will and strength it takes. You are so right, these are probably most important together with health!
@seniorkevin Жыл бұрын
@@lostinadmiration great to hear! Indeed relationship and health. Health nowadays is easy to improve unless it is genetic. I myself am struggling sometimes with diet or physical movement but I know this is in my own hands. Relationships (especially family) is something you do or do not have. Might be possible to improve but it for a certain part is given. Good friends or love is sometimes also hard to find.

@@seniorkevin that’s true though I have to say I had a few moments in my life where health seemed a bit out of my control. There are so many autoimmune conditions or just bizarre diseases no one knows how to treat.. it also seems a lottery sometimes! So if you have decent heath, that’s a treasure!

@@lostinadmiration yeah these are the hardest however I found out vague health symptoms can almost always be solved by healthy patterns. I think a lot of the struggles we deal with as adults stem from childhood experiences. I have GAD and many days i just feel on edge the whole time and i just cant shake the feeling. Waking early in the mornings around 3-6am are particularly bad for me when im still half conscious and all my fears seem to be in my body and my head. My parents had a very rocky relationship and both are very cold and show zero emotional support, they will mock their kids in front of others if they show any sign of mental health issues. Now i understand where all my issues originate from, especially social anxiety and feelings of not being worthy or good enough. Thank you for sharing your experience, very comforting and i shall try some of your techniques 🙏
@lostinadmiration Жыл бұрын
I also have anxiety, although with different roots - but you are right, our childhood shapes us so much! I love how Gabor Mate explores that in his books (you can even see his book on my desk in the first seconds, When the Body Says No). At my worst times with anxiety, I tried EFT which is a method that many PTSD soldiers do, it is very physical - I think if meditation/mindfulness do not help this could be something to try! So many people struggle, I am so grateful we live in times when it is OK to admit it and more and more people talk openly about it. Thank you for sharing your experience too! Sending you good thoughts!
@tedwilson1477 Жыл бұрын
@lostinadmiration Yes i am familiar with Dr Gabor Mate, he is how i first found out about the long term mental health effects of parenting on a child. Owning his book you must be well versed in this area, whereas ive only watched a few of his videos. Its so interesting and has definitely made me become a better dad to my 10yo boy. Ive heard of EFT being effective for some people, but never really looked into it any deeper. Now you recomend it i think ill give it a go. Is it best to find a local EFT specialist? I do a lot of daily meditation, mindfulness and exercise which definitrely helps, however there's certain times when im overwhelmed and my mind rumination / bodily sensations are just so intense, and my negative beliefs just take over. I am so grateful we have YouYube where we can communicate with others and not feel alone, especially with creators like yourself brave enough to show your face and share your struggles. Watching and listening to your videos feels like i have a friend with me. Thank you so much for making them, you certainly have a gift in video editing! 🙏

Your videos are beautiful and your content is inspiring. After watching a handful of your videos I found myself wondering, why hasn't her channel blown up? Why doesn't she have tens of thousands of views on every video? I now have a theory about that... Your videos are TOO perfect. I think you'd be wise to sprinkle some vlog-style videos into your content. Something that is less scripted and more conversational. Like, "day in the life" videos, or personal challenges that we see you try... Who is this stylish girl with an accent living in London...? I think people blow up when they start to become almost like "friends" on the internet. Your videos, because they are all so perfectly done, feel more like a personal development course. The filming/lighting, etc. is all so amazing that it looks more like a commercial sometimes... Too curated perhaps? Don't get me wrong, I don't think you should stop making these types of videos--they are your strength--they are AMAZING. But if you want to grow your audience, I'd recommend changing your channel name to your actual name (that I don't know despite watching quite a few videos) and making some less polished more chatty, vlog-style videos--so we feel like we know YOU. Just.a friendly suggestion from someone who doesn't actually make YT videos but watches a lot!!! (If this is what you love to do and what makes you happy... ignore me!) x

Thanks so much for giving it thought and sharing your honest opinion, I appreciate it! You know, to be honest, I want to share so much, and a lot of my 'personal story' and also some of the more difficult things I have been through.. but it is just so hard, I decided to keep it very gradual. Being 'on the Internet' and in some ways being judged and watched, is very new to me! When I started the channel I wanted to make mental health content but soon discovered I choke up when I start filming so I did a few 'travel videos' as it was easier. Only recently I started topics that interest me, progressively getting more personal. I hope soon, one day I will be able to be even more vocal and open! Thank you for this. I only came across your channel a few days ago, and I love the calm, beautiful nature of your videos. I’d never heard of the wheel of life idea, but I love it. Will definitely be trying that today x
