I grew up listening to primarily 1970's folk, rock, blues, country, soul, etc.. So much so I learned to play both acoustic and electric guitar. I recently learned the song IF by Bread (David Gates). I would have never imagined I'd be playing [some] of the music I listened to growing up. I would love to sing, but I settled for playing. It's music, like this video, that continues to inspire me. Thank you for sharing. Please continue posting. In a world full of locks, love is the key.

Okay, I'm impressed. Mr. Marcolina, I have loved this songs for decades. So you only heard it a month ago? Wow. Yours is one of the best covers--maybe THE best--I have heard. Okay; so first you need the chops. Voice and instrument. You have that. What is much rarer is that you have the musicianship. Every other cover, without exception, puts in flourishes that detract from the song. Your rendition is not a carbon copy of the original; it is yours. WOW Josh! What a FABULOUS cover of a beautiful song. I love the way you nailed the lead guitar fills and the fast finger picking part. To me that's what really makes your version GREAT! Your voice and playing are VERY impressive. All that's missing is Randy Newman's wonderful string arrangement and you have it all! I have a question for you Josh. I notice that your finger nails are shaped a lot like mine. I have to keep my left hand finger nails cut very short or they interfere with my ability to get good clean notes. I wonder if you have the same issue? I'm glad that your "obsession" with the song led you to learn it and post one of my All-Time favorite's. Congrats Josh.
