I used to watch this show as a young teenager; this was our MTV back then :) Quality music is timeless, this song is an all-around masterpiece of lyrics, chords, composition, and that voice. I have always loved this song. I remember so vividly when it started getting radio play when I was a sophomore in high school. It’s hauntingly beautiful. When I got married, I had another of his songs- “Beautiful”- played before the ceremony started. “Annie’s Song” (John Denver), “Evergreen” (Barbra Streisand”) and “Make Love Stay” (Dan Fogelberg) were also among my selections
