I did a revamping of my life and cut off all of my "friends" cold turkey, without any explanations. They have done andxsaid some insensitive and condescending things over the years that I should have checked them for a while back. But I didn't do that because I didn't want them to think that they hit a nerve with me, just in case that was there intent. But I realized that whether or not they intended to hurt me was not acceptable and I was exhausted from being in their company. Plus, I used to get a strong feeling that they would talk about me to their other friends. So I just went off the grid one day and haven't looked back. My niece is the only person I call a real friend now and I'm content with that. I feel like God was pushing me to go this route, so I listened.

Thank you!!! I forgive, but stay outta my face! I’ve apologized when I was wrong, but it was never reciprocated. People forget that they hurt you, but expect you to crawl up on a cross and crucify yourself if you hurt them…and some of them deserved it. I guess I made the mistake of ghosting them when I saw who they really were instead of calling them out, but now realize that was wisdom, cause like Ricky said, you never know what’s going through someone’s mind.

EVERYTHING you said spoke to me. The way extreme anxiety chooses to manifest itself; the lack of accountability people have for damage THEY cause and their audacity to play the victim. Thank you so much for this message.
@moonsyoungestsun65502 жыл бұрын
Your comment is so true!!! It's too long for me to type everything regarding this matter, but my mom is the ultimate victim. If I bring up something that she did to really hurt me, she gets mad at me for bringing it up and says with an angry, disgusted sounding voice "You are just holding on to stuff from years ago. You need to let it go. I didn't do you anything. Get out of my face." Yet, she still whines about what my father, her former co-workers, siblings or neighbors did to hurt her from over 50 years ago when she talks to her friends. So it's like the pain others caused her matters and the pain she's caused me doesn't. I gave up trying to resolve these matters face to face with her and started writing a letter that includes everything that has not been resolved. I started it a few months ago and take time to sit with each thought I write, in order to edit it as needed. Also, this way, when I decide to give it to her, I won't go through the "I should've said this or that.", like what happens in the heat of the moment of most arguments we have. She can read it and I don't care what she thinks. It's about her seeing my pain written out and getting it off of my chest.

I just quit a job because I was being so disrespected by some of my co-workers and at first I really didn't know what to do but I got a message. That happened to be on TikTok! This brother came on and said, "The only way, some people will learn to appreciate you, is by losing you"! So, no apology needed, I was just done but it still does hurt when folks disrespect you but sometimes you just need to get out of folks way!😏
@moonsyoungestsun65502 жыл бұрын
I know the feeling. I went through hell at a job I had years ago. I wanted to quit many times because the mess just continued year after year. But my mom would tell me that I'm going to give them the satisfaction that they want if I quit. So I stayed, thinking that my presence there was pissing them off because they wanted me to quit. Eventually, things came to a halt and I was fired for standing up for myself. The job was in Washington state and I hated the town anyway, so I had a good reason to move, which I did. However, I wish that I did quit and not stay as long as I did for my own mental sanity. But as karma would have it, those that made my job hell ended up getting fired and going through much worse than I did. So because of that experience and so many others similar to it that I've experienced, I learned that there was no need for revenge. Somehow God, the universe or whatever you name it, sends the same negative energy back to those that sent it to you.

Or she'll yell at me to get out of her face and then ignore me if I continue to try to resolve issues. Basically, she gets mad at me for trying to resolve things she's said or done to hurt me over the years. So she caused my pain but I'm supposed to just overlook everything and forget that it happened. Meanwhile, every chance she gets when talkingto her friends, she brings up all of the times that people have hurt her, including stuff my father did going back 50 + years ago, her former co-workers, siblings and neighbors. Now I'm in the process of writing her a long.........very long.........letter that addresses everything that she cuts me off mid sentence with, when I try to bring them up. I never comment on here but I just wanted to share something someone shared with me a while back-Just because you’re ready for an apology doesn’t mean the other person is ready to apologize. A lot of times when we do the work to become healthy and whole we can forget how we were before we were healed, meaning did we apologize to others and own our bad behavior before we were “healthy” or in a good place? When you are unhappy with your life or you’re just trying to make it in this world and you feel like you don’t have the time, money or most importantly, the stomach for self reflection and therapy your reflex is to protect yourself instead of being vulnerable. Think about it this way, you’re expecting an apology from someone who probably wants what you already have and in some ways may feel like you owe them something for having “made it” in the world. Another point of view may be that you did something to him that you don’t remember that he feels wronged by. But who knows? Either way, I hope that you both find peace about it 🙂

Because I can only remember the bad things til this day and I really want to have good memories but I don’t have any.yes having my kids are such a wonderful blessing But my mind go back to years of being not loved and yes I get help almost 30 years but every time I go it’s like pouring salt on an open wound and I just want to know how long to take to heal ? I have already forgave those that hurted me and I do feel good about that but not one person have ever asked me for forgiveness because I live this every day.so please don’t treat anyone bad because nobody knows what that person is going through. Thanks 🙏🏿 for reading this message I always have love 💕 in my heart ♥️ for everyone.have a wonderful blessed day and please be Kind to Eachother 🙏🏿💙🙏🏿❤️🙏🏿💙🙏🏿❤️💕💙

I’ve experienced ppl not liking me bc of what someone said and it was not true. You don’t know the full story and even if you do, what did that person do to you. 9 X out of 10 you did nothing to them or the person spreading lies or manipulating others to go against you. I always say get to know ppl for yourself bc you never know that person could end up being one of your best friends. There are a lot of good ppl in this world but there are those that make it their mission to destroy you over some foolishness. As Ricky said be accountable and apologize if you’ve done wrong. Nothing wrong for apologizing or making it right between you and that individual. And if that individual refuse the apology or the conversation to clear up the confusion, let it go bc you’ve done your part by trying to make it right 👍🏽

I feel the same way about my class because of bullies and most from what I've heard still haven't grown up. Don't like ppl for no logical reason 🙄 I haven't been to not one class reunion. Just because I didn't and don't play into their antics is the very reason why they didn't like me. Raised by wisdom not by foolishness.
@moonsyoungestsun65502 жыл бұрын
I have not attended a class reunion either and don't plan on doing so for the rest of my life. A lot of them were condescending, judgemental and humiliated me just to appear to be superior to others. I don't care how small of an action or comment, I still remember how it made me feel and how they took pleasure from it. Now that time has passed, I guess many of them have forgotten (or pretend to have forgotten) what they did or said back then because they requested my friendship on FB and/or inboxed me nice messages like we are long lost friends. I rejected all of their requests and messages with joy in my heart. They can burn in hell for all I care.

It takes majority to take accountability. Their are so many people who just won't humble themselves. That was pure jealousy, I heard someone say that other people can see something special in you long before you see it. You have to much to lose messing with people who have nothing to lose.

YES!! YES!! YES!! Rickey!! If you do something on purpose to hurt or anger someone, apologize. If you're man enough to do it, be man enough to own it. I never get mad at someone who hurts or angers me if they don't do it on purpose. I'm not perfect and if it wasn't done on purpose, how can I be angry? Wow!! I wrote this before Rickey mentioned owning it. I live by that rule. You're one of the great ones Rickey!! ❤️❤️❤️

Rickey, alot of people do not have a sincere, compassionate fiber in them. I are owed apologies, but the guilty always play innocent.

Awesome message! Good on you for apologizing to your classmate. I have a middle school bully..... 30 plus years ago...I remember his name and all of his ugly words. I`m not sure I would spit on him if he were on fire! He always comes to mind when people talk about bullying. I don't give him much much thought but your story and apology to your classmate some how made me feel a little better. I can't quite put it into words but I was her 30 plus years ago and the fact that you apologized gives me hope that my bully matured and changed for the better.

Rickey you can't say. IF I hurt you..No no..no IF...Apologize without saying IF..And that bullying carries into years of low self esteem. Here she is ..an adult..hiding...I wish some folks would come and apologize to me.

Rickey, I'm SO glad to hear somebody say something about this. I knew a guy that gave his word he would take me to my new job for that first, make or break, week. He didn't show up, I got fired and he stayed angry with ME for calling him just to make sure he hadn't had some sort of serious car accident while on the way. What kind of people can turn stuff around in their minds so far that instead of them seeing a situation for what it was, they only see it for what they've made up in their heads. I forgave this person and still give him a 'good morning' shout-out because I like to start my day off with all the positivity I can put together while dude still doesn't get why I had a real right to be hurt in the first place. The bottom line is that if you want to be angry or feel some kinda way about something, you can make it happen.

If someone has wronged you then an apology should be given, some will apologize and there are others who won’t because of pride , so proud they won’t let you get that apology no matter how many years ago they wronged you. Even if someone wronged me I don’t wait for an apology because it’s not likely I’ll get one , but if someone felt I wronged them I’d definitely apologize, I wouldn’t want to keep it on my conscience, nor would I want to feel I violated anyone in any way , I’m looking for all the blessings from God , I wouldn’t let anything block me from it, I always believed that saying “ God don’t like ugly “ meaning personality and character, ugly heart and spirit JS. 😔💯
