My advice: If you can sort of think, "I'm also seeing if this company suits _me_ ." It may help you feel less pressure. There are accounting jobs available to people without degrees, and there are great accounting jobs available to people with a bachelor's degree. It doesn't make you arrogant if you do it right. It just gives you an air of confidence. _You_ have every bit as difficult a deliberation as the hiring managers do. This is more of a mindset helper than a specific answer. If something negative about your experience, skills, etc. doesn't bother you, it is less likely to bother them! You aren't a weak candidate just because you have 0 internships and 0 experience. If you have a degree, that's enough. Degree isn't the only way to work in accounting, either.

This is so true, what people forget is that you are also trying to check if the company is for you. Being honest is a great start so you and the employer can meet Eye to eye and see if you are going to be in this relationship long term.

Hi Bill, I would really appreciate, if you could help in formulating what is the best answer when in the interview they ask how do you explain Deferred Income, Accruals and Prepayments to Non-Finance people? I can explain in accounting terms but explaining to non finance people I always struggle. Could you do a small vidoe on answering this with sample answer?

lol yeah none of that is acceptable. You don't come into my interview unprepared. But I have some options for you. I have a janitorial position open. Minimum wage, 12 hr shifts. You're hired.

Then you’d be amazed the amount of doctors that google things while you’re sitting in a room. Perspective. Being able to apply information is different than regurgitating a definition.
