Listening to these songs is like a religious experience. I am a new fan. This is 'new music' to me.

he's been my addiction for almost 54 years, once started you can't even think of giving him up. The most mesmerising voice in the world and he's enriched my life and touched my soul. Brilliance!

At last I think what he is doin' this time? I always love his voice, the The Walker Brothers especially Scott Walker and his Solo-Record "No Regrets", I still have it. It's very sad to hear that he is passing away, I take the Music on my mind with nice memories! R.I.P. Scott, have a good rise...….

One of the most covered songs ever. Best Belgian Song ever. Scott Walker (just like David Bowie) was well known as been a Jacques Brel songs lover. Pitty that Brel died so young. Dusty Springfield sang it with so much sence, but sung by Scott Walker... Straight tru the heart!I often wandered what Jacques Brel himself thought about this version.Scott Walker has an amazing voice!

I especially love Scott's "If You Go Away".
@Kyathaln-kya Жыл бұрын

I love Scott's version of the song best and especially this one from this BBC TV program, Scott's voice is so beautiful but so sad at the same time.
His singing here is more emotional than the studio version, though he is very good at singing emotinally.

John WAlker vs Scott Walker, JW was the original lead singer- I read that JW was fine with the change - BECAUSE HE, as the founder and the boss man, felt for the good of the group, he could experiment with unique harmonies. Plus John had the street cred of pulling off decent leads (guitar) on some numbers-- Finally Gary- when watched live, makes Charlie Watts look like a banger- I have never hear louder, yet clean percussion via the energy spent- it appears he holds the last two inches of his sticks and sometimes plays a part of a song with one hand. As if he is sprinkling moon dust. WHY OH WHY , Gary was never allowed to harmonize ??I may be wrong, as I listen to his singing on a group he performed-- I thought it was decent. Ta da... I vote John over Scott on sensitive numbers- plus the Strat sold to beck- I believe he was respected in the halls of music in europe. pLUS , better looking -look at that "woman' COVER.

Very interesting to read this, i saw john a few times and he captured that magical walker brothers perfectly, now i know why, scott may have been lead in most peoples minds but johns contribution to their sound can never be understated!
