That desk walker, will look to invest in that to keep in office AND the "Evolving" is a great nugget. Changing my eating habits people notice and it takes some courage to stick to your guns and saying no to eating a lot at work potlucks or not celebrating things with eating a "cheat meal" after a tough work week. Stacking up these "courage wins" become noticeable and "oh you're acting different". Yup, sorry not sorry, busy evolving over here :D SOLID VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARING

Takeaways: 1) “to lose weight you have to become a different person”. This was a realization I had recently after gaining 25 lbs under extreme stress. I want to be a person who can deal with stress appropriately and respect myself. If I stay the same person, I will stay the same. I’ve started to think - what would my ideal healthy self do? When would I wake up? When would I workout? When would I walk? What new activities would I join? What are my non-negotiables? 2) “give yourself a year to reach your goal.” This is tough. I hate feeling limited and insecure in my fat, unhealthy, body so I want it off as fast as possible. Giving myself the grace to implement the new me and new habits will make it sustainable. Which is my ultimate goal. But this is what I struggle with. Great video. I’ll watch again. ❤

For me, I found the best way for my body to loose that last 20 pounds (I almost always eat between 5 and 7 pm - that’s it) was to eat Every Other Day. I loose about one pound a day doing this. I consider it a 36 hour fast but generally it goes into the 40s. The great thing about not eating until dinner is no hunger - but there are desires to eat. Keeping busy takes your mind off that.

I discovered this video trying to have a long term fat loss solution. I've seen a few of your other videos too. Thank you for what you do. I have been on this never ending cycle since joining the military of losing weight for the biannual weigh in before doing our physical readiness test. I've done keto, paleo, pescaterian, vegetarian, blood type diet, intermittent fasting. All are effective at helping me meet my goal. With lots of water throughout the day. I'm on a new journey but I want to go into a maintenance between my prt in October and my next one probably in the summer maybe next year could go back to twice a year again. I'd say I was somewhere around 260 and I am now in the 240s. Lots of strength training, watching my protein intake and Consistency over the last three months almost. To take it to the next level I'm creating my own personalized workout with more consistent cardio sessions and being even more diligent with my calorie deficit and increase my protein more. Thanks for your videos.

I’ve been a yo-yo dieter my whole life. I’ve gained and lost more weight than I can count. And yet, I can’t ever remember feeling like I’ve ever reached my goal in since being a fat kid to now being 42. Or at least, holding onto perceived “thinness” long enough to enjoy it. I took a hot minute to acknowledge the damage I did to my metabolism and realized I would have to commit to a year to fix myself. I decided to make it about habits vs results. And everything this man just said is exactly the thoughts and realizations I have made and accepted if I’m ever going to put an end to this conversation of weight loss. Thank you for confirming that there is only one way to do this. Slow and steady wins the race.

I really like your advice about embracing an identity change. That is something that is not planned for in journeys like this. Also, I fully agree with separating your bedding. My husband and I did this years ago. We have a King bed with the one fitted sheet under us, but I replaced the top layers with twin sized sheets and blankets. I still have the one King comforter to lay on top to make it all look nice when made up (although sometimes a little lumpy 🙂) This does help a great deal with our different layering needs.

Biggest take away for me: it’s not so much about the weight, but about health as a whole, including mental heath. I am starting this big change journey in the wake of my dad’s passing. He was obese all my life… But he was unhealthy in so many other ways (probably contributing to his obesity). He had a miserable end of life. That’s not what I want for myself. What you said about identity change really hit home for me. I see so many contradictory things about weight loss that all claim to be scientifically true… It’s hard to find my way… I like your video because it’s not promising easy quick results. I don’t think there can be long lasting easy quick results.

I'm now 64 years old, having lived (so far) for 52 years with diabetes. I am NOT a type 2, fundamentally because I felt that even at such a young age, I wanted to play english football, run in half marathons and half 10Ks, hold my weight and build my strength. It took 10 years and 60lbs since I retired to say I'm going to do something. Well... I'm still trying but I'm not consistent. I go one week like 2 times and then get busy and don't go to the gym. Then I'll take a week off and start it again. And I struggle when I'm there. I took a bullet in the shoulder and that arm is weak. I don't have friends so I generally workout alone and that's also discouraging. Ugh. Life

Hey Dan, What does green powder contain? I live in Europe and I wonder what its ingredients are? Maybe you have a list somewhere of exactly what you eat and how much? Thanks for your work for us.

I need to figure out an eating schedule -I homeschool my grandson from 8-3 then work 5-9:30 Monday thru Friday -it's hard because he has autism and ADHD so I have to stay right with him to make sure he does the work. I can't eat at work so figuring out a schedule is hard plus I have osteoarthritis what would you suggest?

I've lost 40+ lbs in the last 5 months. I still have 25 lbs to go, but I'm doing great! I am more active this year than any other year of my life, and I feel great! Two things I did, aside from exercise: No soda, at all. Not one soda since March. Lots of protein bars. Breakfast and lunch on the weekdays is all protein bars.

But what if you workout at night? Im a nurse so I have long days. My days start at 5:30am and I’m in bed by 10pm but I workout (taekwondo) from 7pm-8:30pm. And I’m staaaarving afterwards

Is there a time either at work or right after to eat your last meal? I used to carry my food in a small cooler to eat according to my work schedule which was crazy. If I wad really hungry at night I'd eat just enough to quiet my stomach in order to sleep. I try to stop eating by 6pm at the latest and even 4pm many days. It really makes a difference ❤😊

I do have a question about the protein intake, my goal weight is 118, so is that how many grams of protein i should be consuming daily? I don't want to make the mistake and consume too little since the last thing i want to do is lose too much muscle mass on my deficit
