Pedals themselves needs to be smaller, and to be modular so they can fit into specially built boards for them. The whole form factor system needs to change. In fact, they need to be digitally switchable and accessible other than by foot.

@B 420 You must not have many pedals, or play many gigs. If your pedal board is 4 boxes duct-taped to a plank, then leave some space between at least two pedals to get the jacks out, do exactly what you propose and save the money. If your pedal board is a dozen effects carefully arranged on a purpose-built aluminum or steel riser in the most compact pattern you can manage, with meticulous care paid to power and signal routing, and getting anything on or off the board for any reason is a question of several minutes at least, a passive insert module like this little black box is a friggin' godsend: * Quickly add in that single-use pedal that would be a waste of board space, *except* for that one crowd favorite song that just doesn't sound right without it. * Try out pedals as part of your existing signal chain without rewiring your board. * Place this box before the first pedal you'd use in an effects loop, and you can switch between a totally inline chain and an effects loop chain without rewiring the board. * Hook in a sub-board to a main board, reusing the smaller Pedaltrain that's been gathering dust since you upgraded. * Swap out entire sub-boards of effects based on setlist needs. Just because you can think of a simpler way to handle your own pedalboard doesn't mean this isn't extremely valuable to someone else with a different situation.

Pretty sure that's the Cirrus responding to the quick change in expression setting, and in that sense it's actually intentional. But yeah, you can have a *lot* of fun with a delay that behaves this way when you mess with the time setting.

I do a similar 'pedal add' wiring on my board. Right between the fuzz/drive pedals but before the time/mod pedals. I use a One Control 2in/2out box wired in between with a jumper in it when I'm not using it. The big difference with the Looperwerk box is the power ability, which is great. I've used my little box many times over the last year or so to audition pedals in my rig. Never lugged my board into a store to try it though. Edit: After looking at Looperwerk's site, I'm impressed! I think I'm definitely going to look at them when I build my next board. It looks like some seriously high quality stuff.

I emailed source audio an idea to modify the app for their pedals so they could program the extra unused control input in their one series pedals to send out control settings to pedals then make it a setting that could be stored as a part of their midi presets. I did that a couple months or so before before the EHX version of this called ctl came out and then of course I found out they had the reflex pedals to do exactly what I needed this to do since it will control 3 analog based controls and also it offers midi already plus it has presets so that is my top most wished for item. Now I can get one reflex pedal and control 3 analog pedals and as many midi pedals as I want in my midi rig. If I have an unused loop in a switcher or a source one pedal that offers a loop I can use it to test pedals. That makes a pedal more valuable to me since it comes with a loop so IO would be more prone to add in a source audio pedal that has a loop. Chances are I would add something into that loop and keep it there but if I did not it would be available. Everything I buy I try to find a way to use a loop if it has one and many times I want that extra device to create a separate parallel line out from my main tone which gets fed to a mixer and this is why I love the axe fx and Helix with their modular approach to loops. For example with an axe fx I can have the following pedals running parallel to each other simultaneously 1. hedra. 2. ravish sitar 3. attack decay with frequot in its loop 4. A vibe pedal, 5, rotary pedal, and 6 an ehx mel 9. Now I would need several control pedals attached to not only control rate settings but I would want a few pedals that used midi to pan between things. For instance if I had a rotary and a vibe on in the modular signal chain then I might want to pan between the two so that I start off using one like a vibe and at the end of my solo I pan it to a rotary tone that has a speeding up rotary sound hitting that last note in a solo. Or I might want to pan between a sitar tone on ravish sitar and a crazy patch on hedra or even an attack decay with some shamisen setting and feedback created by frequot in the loop of the attack decay pedal . I can use this approach to fade in a mellotron sound with a foot controller without affecting my main guitar tone. These things can be used as intros and endings for solos, and song transitions.

@looperwerk
@looperwerk 4 жыл бұрын
@@crissvis9204 Hi! You can connect it to the EXP2 socket and then it works basically the same as the built in expression pedal. You can enter the settings of the GE 200 and set which parameter is changed by the built in expression pedal (EXP1) and which by the external one (EXP2). So if you set the parameter the external pedal controlls to "delay time" you would have the functionality as in this video, you can basically switch two settings of the parameter the expression pedal controlls. Depending on the effect you could also switch between different tremolo depths, gain levels, modulation speeds etc.

The effects pedal needs an expression pedal input, so this would not work with the regular HoFs, but for example with the Hall of Fame x4. A regular expression pedal sweeps one parameter from one extrem to the other, with this switch you can switch between two points of that parameter that you set with the red and blue knob. I hope I could help you, if not send me a mail ;-)

Why should I connect an in between device if, I can pluck a pedal just direct in any position I eventually feel trying it!? Seen? Because you get to pluck in front or behind a pedal anyways. There for no need for the second device. Thanks for your presentation and greetings at the end of this commend as always. LOL 😁 LG. AnkuTom
