Including Sugar & Carbs in my diet causes my dandruff to flare. I’m planning to install starter locs within the next month, so I’m working on reducing the amount of carbs in my diet now.

This was my biggest concern with starting my two strand twists. I’ve always struggled with dandruff and dry scalp. I’ve seen a dermatologist and they prescribed ketoconazole shampoo. Can I still use that for my washes?

I have a question, Is it a good idea to get locs with a lil damage in your hair or should you cut the damage first?

I work out a lot, sweat in my scalp which causes it to flake. Sugar isn't the issue. I knew going in that I would have to wash my hair weekly.
