I made it 2 times. It was perfect and your video explains the process perfectly. I used 65% cacao dark chocolate the second time, because at first I used 53% and it wasn't very rich. Also, I used brown sugar, no problems at all. Next, I'd like to try almond milk instead of whole milk.

Very nice, thank you! Though I have to admit I was very stressed about watching you do all that cooking and stirring in that mini pot. It would be much more practical in a larger pot, and also simply measuring 750 ml of milk with a single move would make more sense to me.

덧글들의 우려대로 우유팩 안에는 폴리에틸렌 프로필렌 류의 방수 비닐이 들어 있기 때문에 뜨거운 무언가를 넣거나 끓이는 용기로 사용하면 정말로 녹긴 합니다. (그정도 먹는다고 죽지는 않으나 몸에 쌓아놔서 좋은건 없죠) 다만 끓는 점 이하 혹은 전자렌지 , 오븐 방식외로 중탕같은 방식으로 잠깐 가열하는건 버팁니다. 그 이상하면 녹아서 용출 시작됨

IN MY COUNTRY INDONESIA.., WE ALWAYS EAT CHOCOLATE PUDDING WITH " V L A " Here is the receipt of Vla : 250 ml Milk 50 gr Sugar 1 tsp vanilla essens 1 Egg Yolk 10 gr Corn Starch (You can also added Rhum Flavor) ----- Heat the milk and sugar until all are dissolved, then add the cornstarch and stir until thickened, then add the vanilla and stir until evenly mixed. Set aside and let the mixture warm. Then add the egg yolk, stir until evenly mixed, and add the rum. Stir again until evenly mixed. Then chill in the refrigerator. This vla is enjoyed with pieces of Pudding. Enjoy..

Tried it but mine came out like chocolate milk, even after refrigerating for 5 hours! Maybe needs more Agar powder? I used a measuring spoon to use exactly what was listed in the video. Not sure what I’m doing wrong

Firstly, you measure weight with a scale not a spoon 😜 and Agar needs to hit at least 90c for two minutes to work as intended.

Oh, please do that again with a non-sugar sweetener like 'Splenda' and the lowest carb chocolate available. Would that work for us diabetics?????
I just tried making it.. the chocolate stage was looking a bit grainy and not a dark colour at all.. so I turned up the heat.. it boiled a little and now is less grainy a bit darker but has a skin.. oh well.. hope when it cools it resembles this! I live in hope

I attempted to make this yesterday. After two hours in the refrigerator, we cut into it and it was still liquid. We thought it needed more time to chill, so we left it overnight. The top is solid but underneath is still not binding and I have a pan of chocolate soup 😔 I specifically bought Agar, 7g were used, as per the recipe. Chocolate used was 90% cocoa, 200g. 750ml of milk and 80g of sugar. Wonder what I did wrong 😢

Just made it again, using 50% dark chocolate. Got firm, did resemble a pudding, tasted “ok”. NOTHING like shown in this video. We will not attempt again. 😔

Possibly a temperature issue. The agar has to get to around 90C to properly melt and form a gel that will set when it cools. Based on the instruction in the video about when to stop heating I would expect you could pretty easily end up stopping before it gets hot enough.

Does it matter what chocolate and milk I use? No matter what I do, mine is so much runnier when I pour it and it never sets. I use 200g of dark chocolate, 750ml semi skimmed milk, 80g caster sugar, and 10g agar agar

You can also do this but instead of putting the mixture in a cake tin to set, crush some biscuits into crumbs and mix with a little butter to make a base. Line a round tin with the crushed biscuit mixture and add the chocolate mixture on top and let it set. Now you have a kind of chocolate cheesecake without the cheese. I guess it’s more of a tart but still, it’s bloody lush.
