No lie. This video was perfect. Ended on a perfect note too. It reminded me of that quote "Your soul is in your keeping alone, when you stand before God, you cannot say 'but i was told by others to do thus'[...] This will not suffice." (King Baldwin IV - Kingdom of Heaven).

I'm 27. Worked in corporate for 3.5 years and hated every minute of it. As I have pretty low self-esteem and confidence I could find the courage to quit it. Then last year I lost my job due to my own fault which felt like a blessing in disguise. I am working on my dream job since. I'm burning my savings and I'm not a highly motivated person so the journey has not been very smooth. I don't know why I'm saying all this, maybe for a bit of attention, maybe for some positive message, I don't know but thanks for providing this space.

Listening to your advice reminds me of myself a year and a half ago. I am 22 now and I am doing well for myself. I will be a nurse and I built myself by myself. I had no parents to rely on and I remember depression and not feeling worthy of a good life due to my childhood horrors I went through. I remember fear most of all. I watched your videos a year ago and it definetly helped me just go through all of it. I am doing well now and it is getting better and better. I can say that I have a bright future for myself. I am not seeking people to feel sorry for me. I just wanna tell you thank you! Wish you and everyone else regardless of your faith, either man or a woman or either being black or white a good life. We are all people and we should help each other and try to put this world together when it is hellbent on tearing itself apart.

I love that as you’re talking, you speak from the heart and as if you’re a teacher, or a friend. Someone that truly, truly wishes to help others less fortunate. You don’t play into super political extremes where you propagate the “sigma” or “alpha” mindset, you’re a great balance of what is needed for the impressionable youth today, you’re open with your feelings and your motives, fully transparent. You don’t bash people for not being able to “lift x amounts, you’re just here to be human. That’s what we need, and want Thank you Noel, you’re doing a great deal of help for so many. I only wished that there could be more like you on the internet sphere. - An impressionable youth

The only thing that helps keep me up is being able to take criticism from people around me. I legit stopped caring or taking care of myself at some point and my mom was afraid to tell me, because she is used to my brother who reacts very poorly to comments. The relief I could see in her when my reaction was basically, "Yeah, that's true. I should take better care of myself. I forgot it would affect those around me." I still struggle at times, but I try to do small stuff when I end up in a dip. In a depressive dip right now due to the seasonal change, so I am just making sure to keep my mood up with small stuff so I don't end up bed rotting or something. A lot of people get stuck on wanting to do big changes or they'll think of themselves as failures, but the small things you noted, like making to-do each day, which is actually a common suggestion for people with autism and adhd, and being honest with yourself end up making big differences over time.

As someone who is working as a game developer, I fully support the "work with something that you want to do" because I used to be in a similar mindset as your younger self. I wanted to become an accountant or something more corporate related. After spending a couple of years during my high school years I realised that was not what I ACTUALLY wanted in my life. I pivoted completely and went on to actually work with something I am still very passionate about; games. I don't know if I'll love my job 20 years in the future, but I sure do love it right now. You're a beacon of hope for the younger generations, teaching us humility and respect. Something we sure don't see enough of. The gentle giant delivers yet again, keep on rocking my dude!
