Wow! Love your collection of these power pop gems! I have originals of the three Big Star albums, but that live album…never heard of before! Just listened to it online and Man! What a great recording ❤️🔥 Love all those 45’s as well. Thanks!!

The only pressings I have of #1 Record and Radio City are in that UK "twofer" set, and I love them.

All such great stuff! That Prix album is a lost classic for sure! Tiven is from New Haven where I live, his band was Yankees on Big Sound. I used to work for a guy who played on that and the Van Duren. I love the Groovies as well, Mike Wilhelm was in there for a bit too in the later 70's. Twilley is so classic as are the Phil Seymour albums! Power Power Power Pop! Such great stuff!

Thanks for watching and commenting. My father’s side (all Italian) are from the New Haven area. North haven to be exact. I remember always getting excited for the pizza down there!

@@Vinylfromtheunderground Very familiar with North Haven. I live in Wooster Sq. the pizza neighborhood! It's the best!

I love that you're showing the Blue records!, those are so excellent! I need to find that import second one, I have the first and the third. Love your channel, and that you're giving the Dwight Twilley Band some worthy power pop notice! gotta mention Tommy Keene too here, his albums are also very very good! seek those out!!

The 2 lp UK from 1978 is fantastic. My OG "Prudence" LNix is my go to. OG Radio City and 3rd are beauties too. Classic pressings are different in a good way. I have a NM Sister Lovers, but don't recall what it sounds like. There's a live CD "Nobody Can Dance" that I remember from rhe 90's. I recall sounding decent. Cargoe, Van Duren, Prix, Tommy Hoen, Hot Dogs etc. are good stuff. Hot Dogs blew me away at first listen.

That sister lovers PVC press is awful so I sold it. I agree with the concord pressings and the double UK too. Nice. Thanks for watching

Hell of a Big Star collection. I don't have much else other than the original pressings of the first 2 but a few others there I would love to snag. Do you have the Bell "I Am The Cosmos" single? probably my favorite straight up power pop 45 is the Nerves ep which I'd love to have. Perhaps you have that one. Also the comps that Alive Sound did sound quite good. The Breakaways also being quite excellent.

I do have the bell single and nerves ep. Both great! You should check out 3rd. It’s so unique

@@Vinylfromtheunderground Oh I love 3rd. I've never been to heavy after the original cause its a mess of a tracklist, different versions everywhere. Though I do like that UK cover. I have the Omnivore box set actually with all the different versions. Really worth getting that for me
@Vinylfromtheunderground8 сағат бұрын
That box set is all you need unless you are insane like I am and need the originals too. LOL. It’s def an addiction
