I really don’t want to be sexist, but I’ve commented here for 2 or 3 years that there seemed to be a spiteful energy at WotC, that had it in for people like Rudy, and other collectors, and seemed to be driving their decisions to completely undermine anyone with an established position in Magic cards, and I kind of thought it might someone of the female persuasion, or someone with with niche politics. I’d be very interested to know if this lady was even a fan of Magic, or if she was just a loud person who had used politics rather than work to make it to the top. Its funny because Karlov Manor actual card quality is very good, good foiling, solid feel to them (aside from the invisible ink, I think they could've made them more special). The actual set isn't that bad. Good land cycle, etc. The only downfall is the play ability. Even Vein Ripper, he's a fantastic card but the 6 cost to drop something that's just going to get nuked off the board is meh. If they had real card designers do the texts they would make much better sets. Thunder Junction, another prime example of these cards look like dog shit and the abilities and casting costs are good. It's amazing they can't just do both nowadays. Also pricing is soooo out of wack. Who the hell is going to drop, 2, 3, 4 hundred on a box they get 100-200$ value back. As a collector terrible, as a player, just buy singles. It's a lose lose. Re-printing the same garbage over and over because you have 0 ideas also adds into this.
