Amen. HK in MINI is pretty sad for what they charge. I did subs and amp (which includes a proper DSP) and it made a world of difference. In my F56 I could do the subs without removing the seats, just unbolt, tilt back, and let them rest on the back seats.

I did bought some new speakers for my 2015 mini cooper daily driver and groceries getter it reliable I have owned since 2018 it was in salvaged yard clean title 30,690 miles My first car was 21 Nissan Rogue my dad bought me 3 years ago it gives me lots of practice how to fixing the car and rebuild and conversion swap That how I am very good at fixing things My 2015 mini cooper speaker aftermarket sound lot better than my 21 Rouge which has same speakers brand as every current mini cooper it was Harman Kardon

@@carcreationsyt I did tried upgrading audio system in my 2015 mini cooper unfortunately event I was driving my 21 Nissan Rogue collision with another vehicle that they violated right turn rules Entire car rolled over landed on it roof Car was severely damaged beyond repair by insurance and sadly scrapped 2021-2023 21 Nissan Rogue (Olympic) RIP

hello, thanks for your video, it helps me a lot!! just one question, do you think it is necessary to add this tweeter instead of installing a speaker with integrated tweeter? because the medium speaker is in a high position on the door (mini clubman f54 no HK ), if we separate medium and tweeter speaker , they are too close between each other ,,

The right side can be wired the same way however I was having a hard time getting to the wire so decided to splice in at a different point. I just used speaker wire I pulled from a bmw. I would strongly suggest trying to find the wire in the right side and wiring it the same way you do the left

You can get the pillar trims from eBay like myself. Yes you would have under seat speakers. Hope that helps!

Dear Ethan, Why is it that after changing the rims (17 Inch), there is a sound when braking only when parking and in traffic jams? Is it normal when you upsize rims? Thank you.

I never noticed a sound when I changed. What kind of sound do you notice? If the tires are thicker maybe you get more road noise or if they are balanced wrong you would get a sound but that’s all I could think of.

I believe for F series minis and a lot of BMWs, the amp is the head unit. So you can not switch it out. However, not all is loss. You can get rid of the active sound design module in the left rear of the car and use that to tap into the sound system with your amp.

I dont know a ton about Bavsound, however I do know the Alpha One is very customizable so you can slowly build out the sound system without breaking the bank.

Is there a way to tap into the ASD module in the back, before it adds the fake engine sound? I disabled ASD via bimmercode but am looking at adding a rear amplifier and subwoofer, so tapping into the speakers in the trunk would be great but I'm not going to use it if it's not a clean signal.

Make sure you disable ASD, but the. Yes. You can Absolutely tap into the speaker system that way. It’s the official way to add the amp from most companies

I would suggest these Alpha one speakers as they sound better and are way easier to install.

I did not get the amp. Maybe a future upgrade. I don’t think it’s necessary for the sound to simply sound crisper and add the clearer base but if you wanted to take it to the next level and rival HK it would be necessary

It's unfortunate this company doesn't offer much for an R60. Put in my VIN and it says the only thing I can do is replace the subwoofers, and without anything else or even an amp being compatible I honestly don't feel it's worth doing,

That’s too bad there isn’t anything more than that. The subwoofers are nice as they clean up the base and make it less muddy but an amp would definitely give more power and make it sound better

We would love to offer more for older generation Minis, but we know the reality. And the reality is people very often treat older Mini's either as project cars (performance mods only) or like low-key daily. That's the market right now. But hopefully we will meet again when you decide it's time for a car upgrade or you just want sth newer as a daily! Cheers!

Hahaha....homie installs a fire sound system and plays the most basic song imaginable to showcase it. If you wanna show the range, you gotta play something with range brother. Nice vid though. Definitely want to upgrade the sound system as one of the first upgrades to my brand new 2023 Clubman All4 that I don't even get to drive until Wednesday cuz I am having the film put on the hood before I take it off the lot.
