Just starting my channel, I normally don't look at those things when I look at videos to watch. Just does the video seem relevant to the topic that I am looking for (just ran across your new monitor video when looking at desk setups). But I wouldn't be surprised if the monetized channels get a boost in the algorithm, and get suggested to more viewers. --- subbed

Dude, I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately. I know I’m guilty of it. Or at least it’s on my mind. Even this video, which is the only one I’ve seen of yours so far, it showed up in my feed. I clicked, saw how many views and immediately went to check and see how many subs you had. Anyways, you got a sub from me. Love your vibe and authenticity!

Really fascinating observation. I’m guilty of often skipping over low-view videos, I’ve been trying to be more mindful of that since deciding to start my own channel. I wonder if the KZbin algorithm also promotes monetized channels more widely/often in browse or recommended sections.

I do think there is more pressure for non Monetized channels. Or I get replies of "I can't believe you don't have more followers..?" But then they don't subscribe.. lol.

I've had a few videos get over 10,000 views and they have brought in most of the subscribers but still less than 300 subs. Not easy.
