The whole reason we have so much anxiety in relationships is because our families didn’t love us properly. And now we’re trying to go build a family for ourselves, and meeting lots of rejection, frustration, and failure. And we’re told we wouldn’t have this problem if we could just be happy. You are very wise for being so young. I'm 65 and respect your ideas. After my spouse of 40 years passed I became involved with an unavailable man who will not make me his priority. I've walked away and given him TONS of space and he just won't respond; he's hot and cold and I just don't know where I stand. I agree when you said "He is not that in to You!" I think that also goes both ways with women. You can't fake yourself when you truly don't feel anything for the person; no matter how nice he/she is. I am in relationship (no title yet) going on 8 months now. The advice you gave about connecting with the guy in a deeper level do work. I tell him how I feel about being vulnerable expressing my emotions. I let him know, but never I nagged or annoyed him about it. I thought he'd walk away. We are more comfortable telling each other our likes/dislikes and He is able to tell me about his deepest likes. We are still going, even if I am out of town for a few months. He says he misses me... Can't wait to see me. I tried not focusing so much on us, instead I work on things I need to get done. And truly you are right about not rushing things with a man. But it does help, I let him know, how Happy and Enjoy being with him.

I am standing at the edge. It's been months since he has changed the way he messages me. Cold and less affections than before. I understand that he's pressured with a lot going on in his life. We've been having this mini breakup series. When we see each other, he seems a little fine and makes me love him more. But when we're away, his msgs are really cold. That broke my heart as I know in my heart that he did have feelings for me and still does! He just does not admit those to himself! I said goodbye today. How do you handle a man that says he wants a life partner and does all the things required on the surface: consistent contact, appropriate dates, calls, etc. But when it comes down to allowing you to be a part of their inner world and life they shut you out? We talked about taking a weekend trip (our first). He said he had a couple trips that had to be taken first then we would plan something. The next week he tells me he’s going to the very place we talked about going together, with his sister instead,… a last minute decision. Same conversation occured a few months later, I get pushed on hold, then he up and leaves to go fishing out of state. I called him on both of those and asked him why intimate connection Building time with me is pushed off and he can’t be available yet but he’s available for everything and everyone else? And the most recent… he had to move unexpectedly his home of 15 yrs to a new place. He told me I couldn’t help him. He was capable of handling his own problems. Time ran out before he could get moved so I offered to help again, even willing to clean the new place. Anything, to be able to be with him to support him in this traumatic experience. Nope, he and his son got it under control. The next day he tells me his ex wife was going to be cleaning while he and his son move in. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ what do I do with that???

I think you're correct about the texting, but my guy used to text everyday, sometimes twice a day and then one day he fell off the radar, since he had a very sick grandson I was worried something had happened to the child, instead my sometimes guy had decided to go 4 wheeling out in the country and never said anything or invited me, I"m not sure why he didn't at least text me in the morning and tell me where he would be, it was a beautiful 70 degree weather day and I thought we would be doing something together. Anyway, I was totally blown away by his disrespect and have quit responding to his text. It is not necessary for him to text me all the time but since he was doing it and then quit all of a sudden has me perplexed.

One week now I haven't call r text my boyfriend . He call Monday twice I ignore the calls. I'm tired off his lies. One year now his behaviour his rude and I find him real disrespectful . He keep telling me his all in my mind I'm over thinking trust me he has gaslighting personality. When he's around me his phone always on the face are in his pocket. Interesting video. Partly what Im going thru. Man busy with friends family and children. Self employed lots of time on his hands. If I dont text he starts texting me telling how much he misses me so I start texting then I hear nothing. I work full time and have a somewhat decent life. I dont believe in the if our life was full and we are busy and happy and everything was hunky dory story. If that were true we wouldnt need a man and wouldnt be looking.
