Thanks yall :) you guys really changed my mind about my workouts and protein intake, which i never considered. I have been going to the gym since I was 16. Finally at 31 I'm realizing that I have to change my routine. I am taking stregth training more seriously and getting away from the machines and incorporating dumbell workouts and slowly introducing myself to free range movements with weights. It's such a difference! It feels like real strength gained and I definitely have to give this podcast credit for it so thank you.

Another aspect to what Sal was telling the girl who is struggling with imposter syndrome is something my math professor told me. She said that the best elementary math teachers were not the ones who were naturally good at math. They were the ones who struggled with the concepts and had to really work hard to understand math themselves.

The hormone that keeps us from peeing at night is called antidiuretic hormone(ADH). I remember either Patrick McKeown or James Nestor talking about a connection between nitric oxide production during nasal breathing and an increase in ADH.

Can you guys have a podcast about water fast? I start strength training a few months ago, I am on carnivore diet and 2200-2500 cal everyday , my strength improved, but every 3 month I do a 3 day water fast. I do look leaner after this 3 days, but also my glutes looks like getting deflated :)) It takes a couple of weeeks to get it back in shape lol I am very curious on your views about long water fast while trying to build muscle. Thanks

Twitch Partner here - if I had to do it again, I would have have done KZbin instead. Twitch is super unsustainable if you don’t have a following already, but I made it work for almost 5 years as my main income. The ways you make money are - Twitch subscribers pay between $5-25 a month to you (most partners get 50% of that), they donate to you, and you do ads. It’s a crazy market! So just think if you have even 1000 subscribers that’s $2500-13,500 a month just from that.

Guys, hope you'll read my comment ! ! My brain is divided between your affirmations and Greg Doucette's ones (I know you don't like him, but he's not stupid...I think). You : no cardio even for fat loss bc the body adapts / him : cardio burns more calories than any other type of training and, as you progress, you become a better butter burner You : eat whole foods / him : relies on sugar free syrups, protein bars, recipes from his cookbook (honestly, his deserts are pure chemicals. The only natural thing in them is greek yogurt, sometimes fruits, but always protein powder, sweeteners, guar or xanthan gum, often "jello" , etc) You : we need calories to build muscle / him : you can build muscle even in a calorie deficit. My wish for 2025 : put your egos aside, sit all 4 (or just one of you and Greg, to balance it all), and please have a common speech ! Thanks !

How do I find the calories I need to gain muscle and lose weight . I’m 6’3 and 350lbs trying to get to 250lbs
@_ktbelle_draws_3223Ай бұрын
As a short woman, 5’3” 155 pounds, it’s difficult to tell if I’m under calories? Calorie calculators often put me at 1300-1400 calories for weight loss, however I’m trying to put on muscle to speed up my metabolism… so is that too low? 🤔
@hundostack8545Ай бұрын
Consume 1500-1700 calories on strength training days. No more than 1500 calories (maintenance) on rest days. Strength training days eat more carbs, other days limit your carbs. Aim for 150g protein per day

Hi, I am from Argentina, regarding Milei, not everything is as they say, inflation dropped to 2.5% monthly, not annually, so it is still very high. The cost of lowering inflation is that the economy drop. They started talking about the importance of protein, today in Argentina protein consumption also drop. At the butcher shop, people ask for the steak to be cut thinner because they can't afford meat. The drop of inflation in Argentina is like losing 50lb of weight but only muscle, inflation is going down but companies are closing and people are losing their jobs, salaries are not enough to make to the end of the month. Things were very bad but Milei made everything that was bad worse. For now the only merit is to lower inflation at the cost of destroying the economy. Sorry, I really like you guys but you don´t know what you are talking about Argentina.
@drx6139Ай бұрын
Haha, ikr?! Love your comment. I was like “wth are these guys talking about?” I love the info we get about fitness/nutrition but they know very little about politics and economic policies.

Inflation must come down first for a good economy. It will take some time for things to improve. Viva Milei.

@@funkspinna People are selling their cars to keep paying the rent or moving back with their parents in their 30´s. I have three young daughters and I don´t want to move to other country for they to have a better future, so I hope this experiment turns out well for all of us, but I don't think so. I'm not an economist but I don't think there is an economics book that says that people have to suffer for things to improve. With companies closing and people losing their jobs, it will be difficult for things to improve. For things to improve we have to work more, not less...

@CptApplestrudlАй бұрын
18:00 What happened in Argentina may wokr in a long run, but it's a terrible process to go through. It's easy to simply ignore all the people left on the street during all of this. The US economy is fine in comparison and much of the inflation is artificial, since companys raise prices with the excuse of inflation while making record profits. And about cutting waste: You really trust Trump and Elon to be honest judges of what is wasteful and what is just annoying for companies? I am waiting for someone to mention all the money the US throws at Israel for absolutely no return.
@funkspinnaАй бұрын
What's happening in Argentina is a necessary process to a better economy. No, much of the inflation is not artificial. It's the result of inflationary monetary and fiscal policy. A lot of waste thrown to the Ukraine as well.

As a fed employee who works and manages from home, we actually increased production and quality because of tracked metrics. It's unfortunate that all agencies don't put the same effort in. Decrease in costs due to not using additional energy and facilities. We don't get any kind of monetary reimbursement for anything, including internet.
