I’m 32 and single and haven’t been on a date in years. I find myself saying in prayer that if it’s not in God’s plan for me to find someone that he remove the desire from my heart. It’s tough sometimes especially when everyone in your church is married and there’s no one in sight. My focus is on God and doing what I can to glorify him. That being said that feeling of loneliness loves to comes around often and it does sting.

Working my butt off is all I do. It makes me more depressed. I've come to the conclusion that it's not just being alone but feeling like it's rubbed in your face even when you try not to obsess over it and you don't have a place at church. Never heard one sermon about being single.

This comment resonated with me so much because this is exactly what I’m going through. I’m trying not to obsess about being single or in a relationship but it’s everywhere I turn. And work is all I do as well. I haven’t had genuine fun in along time. I try to tell myself being single this long is okay and very normal but when you have people ask you when will get in a relationship or have you met anyone yet is discouraging and embarrassing. I’m only 27 but I just feel like what do I do and where do I turn at this point.

@@MegM77 I can kind of relate or last related a couple weeks ago to the discouragement and heartache of still being single at 23. It's cool you say "only 27" cuz for some reason I carry on like I'm so old at 23 to be single. But the thing is for me I've never had anyone really ever so it makes it a bit harder imo. Seems God has us in a similar place. I do know my time is upon me for this and I hope and pray for you too

Bottom line is if you're waiting in singleness, you should keep busy. It helps! I'm only 4 years in abstinence and yes it was tough in the beginning because I was just sitting at home and waiting. But I started volunteering and going out more movies, dinner with friends etc. I know gods best for me is near. Also reading the word daily is my dose of TLC daily ❤. Thanks Rob for another great video. Right on time. God bless you

Volunteering is great, but it only covers a few hours per week. Going out to movies or dinner alone sucks after a few times. The bottom line is no woman no sex! Course as a Christian no sex period if you are single. So you will still spend most of your free time lonely and frustrated! Oh and going out with friends goes away once they get married!

I've tried talking to at least 3 girls last year. And for each one, it didn't seem to work out. One kept bailing on me for dates, one was still in high school (which I was unaware of, she was going to my college for credits while still in high school, didn't know until she told me), and one just never responded period. Just recently had to stop myself from liking this one girl I'm friends with because she's dating another one of my friends, after it seemed like she was perfect, we had the same sense of humor, we were the same weird and awkward person, I felt comfortable being my weird self around her. I respect their relationship and don't want to mess that up. After that happened, I began to figure that God is just mocking me, giving me a false sense of hope for a chance at love, then just whisking it away like it's nothing. If God does in fact have a plan for this portion of my life, why does it have to involve giving me false hope, making the rejections feel even worse? (Keep in mind, I am a believer in Christ, I know he has his plans for each and every one of us. I'm just confused and not sure what to think.)

@@namelessfornow1885 Its a bit hard to explain. And I have gained some more (but not much lol) understanding as I've continued my journey through this season. It is not necessarily that I "blame" God per se, at least not in the sense that I feel like he's wronged me, but that I know that He the one with the plan and the layout for how my love life will turn out and the events that go along with it during my journey. I guess I just have a hard time understanding why He does what He does and sets in place what He does. I recently got out of a very meaningful relationship due to life circumstances, and I came to wonder "why would He give me what I've been praying for, then shortly after, just have it slip away?" It's upsetting that it had to happen, and it would be easy to blame Him in the sense that he wronged me, but seeing that He is truly good, it just makes me wonder why He would have something like that happen. It could be a lesson, it could be that something bad further down the line with the relationship would happen, or some other thing. It's just hard to understand what it is He is trying to do or say, if all that makes sense lol.

In my moments of frustration I also find myself having to fight the temptation to be angry at God. Asbyou said He's good and so logically I know He wouldn't just cause us suffering just for the sake of it. I mean I thought of 2 stories when you told yours, I thought Hannah's baby (promise) dying but then being bought back to life then the almost killing of Isaac. I can't say this woman is the one but i definitely see something hopeful there. Its like she is or the very next woman is.

Rob B Kowalski: I completely understand your point o view on loneliness. But there are others besides this. This is what my point of view is. I was married for 36 years. I lost her due to heart disease. So, now I am alone. The family is all gone. Dead or moved away and me, forgotten. I am 61 years old. I have no one to love and no one who loves me. Loneliness has no definition over me. And yet, I still live. You have no idea what loneliness is. I'm glad for you that you have no idea what loneliness is. I wish no man this torture.

I knew id be alone when i was just a kid i never had a reason to date until family started accusing me of being gay so i tried dating a few times at the age of 25 and it was just a waste of time. I said yes to all of your questions, I even go out and go line dancing festivals and concerts by myself and I date myself. But coming home to an empty house has been heart-wrenching and I don't understand what God's plan is for me. I live in Crete Illinois and I'm desperate to find even just single friends just to hang out with. All of my friends are married and have children and that was me once. I was married for 13 years and have two children out of it, he cheated throughout her entire marriage and I didn't know it until the day he left. I did everything I could in my power to save my marriage and grew a lot in the last few years of my marriage through the chaos and continued to grow after he left. Trying to fill this void of loneliness has been extremely difficult. Please help me find a group? I've tried meet up groups, small groups, Church outings, reached out to other churches in the area if they had any similar groups I'm coming up very very short. Help!

I don’t like the term “waiting”. I feel like waiting implies doing nothing. I’m abstaining from physical intimacy but I’m still “dating”. I feel like there’s a huge misconception there. Waiting tends to equate to doing nothing and feel like a lot of non Christians think that’s what “waiting” is. I also feel like it’s not about staying busy or in ministry in order to stay out of trouble or distracted from physical desires. I encounter a lot of guys who are so focused on themselves, on working and accomplishing so many goals but wonder why they’re single. I’ve come across Christian guys who say their priority is school or their goals or ministry but still get on a dating apps. They don’t have time to dedicate to a relationship yet they are still wanting a relationship. It’s doesn’t make sense to be busy all the time and have all these goals at the same time. There’s a disconnect. Can’t have your cake and eat it too. Busy culture is in the body of Christ and it’s not good either.

Im gonna be 22 this year and haven’t been in a real serious relationship yet. A lot of the girls I talk to end up turning fake for some reason when they show interest at first. You're too pretty to not have a boyfriend" comment. Then they interrogate me as to why speaking to me as if I'm some weird alien. I figured out our time is soon if it's actually starting to pain us. @@scorgi0 I feel that last bit so much. I see others get in and out of relationships constantly like it's so simple but tbh I feel the more "basic" someone is the easier it is. I also have to understand having true love is very rare. A lot of ppl marry for personal advantage. But the deep true love that you and I crave I feel is reserved for ppl like us. And we're likely too unique to be able to just fit with any person. We have to be with the one we're designed to be with only. I’m about to be 24 and I still never had my first kiss like everyone els in this world. Back in HighSchool boys got mad I like them I was ugly to them, I never even got a Valentine’s Day gift from a guy. Then after HighSchool at 18 my cousin tried setting me up with her friends none of them liked me then my other cousins tried setting me up with their friend he didn’t like me then in 2019 my friend introduced me to her friend he was older. He said he didn’t wanna be in a relationship yet he gets with someone els. God has never blessed me with a perfect relationship just gave me nothing but heartbreak and rejection 😭 like I ask why couldn’t nothings just go perfect for me? I LOVE being single, hard for me to understand all these people that jump from one relationship to the next, even if it sucks they're so afraid of being alone they just latch on & don't let go. With all the compromise that goes with being in a relationship, why the sacrifice all that juicy time doing whatever YOU want, just to date some limp fish, "meh but good enough until I find something better" stand-in? The ONLY time, and I mean ONLY ... I miss being in a relationship, is when RSVP'ing for "plus 1" events. But I can deal with the .075% of my life spent RSVP'ing and attending events without a date. So many people just wandering around, from person to person, like heat-seeking missles on missions to find next warm body. So many with unhealed attachment issues. I am not knocking being in a relationship, and am open to being in one myself. But I'm holding out for the butterflies. Bc relationships are a lot of work & I think it's important to know in your heart going in, that it's all going to be worth it.

She is very very pretty almost model like and I just look average. Without my glasses, I look better but I have high power so should wear them all the time and look really nerdy and dorky in it so idk whether I even have a chance with her. I am sure you at least had girlfriend before. I am a 22 year old guy who never had a girlfriend before and never even hugged or kissed a girl in real life. I got unmatched by 2 girls recently on dating apps after I asked them out for a coffee even though we had a good chat. I also got blocked by 2 girls on Instagram after asking them out and they were in the same school as me but now we are in different colleges. One of the girl who is 19 turning 20 in August even agreed to meet up but she blocked me after few days and we had been chatting on insta for a month. What do you do if you’re in your late Sixties, but still want to be in a relationship? I got divorced in my middle forties, but because I don’t believe in pre- marital sex this had hindered me. Pain and reaping of mistakes because of the domino's effect. 2000 years ago is like 2 days to our Father. The path you get into is the beginning. The lure is obvious... Grave sin... Fornication. One of the tools is it's just right now.... Keeping TRACK of our age and FEELING like it's gotta happen.... Like what? Before we die? You see? We live by faith, not by sight. You may be put before your Adam if not already at 80... Next year... Or once the 1000 year reign of Christ is in action. He KNOWS us humans. The battle is real about this "tree" of no no. See? The tree of no no is listening to the "serpent's" reasoning instead of just "stay in your spiritual paradise" with our Father and his believers. Or just with him and be involved in talking with him as a VERY CLOSE friend you confide in.... Telling him all... Stuff you wouldn't tell even a man perhaps or woman.... THEN do your daily Bible reading....a couple chapters a day.... Do in order hopefully. Where it all began helps to see how far we have come and all the pain, guilt, shame and tricks in this life that's happened in history of mankind and in our lives UNLESS you have really not hurt yourself too bad and thus aren't clearing out old ways of thinking. I've heard other women not even say squat about their shortcomings but only the ex or they just don't sit still and look in the "rear view mirror" metaphorically speaking. Your AGE doesn't matter. After awhile our faith is strong enough to see beyond our "finite" counting we do.... When there is really a forever. And later on the eternal life. Aging is temporary. Death... Also! Resurrections.... Healings.... Corruption gone.... We get younger if we are past the age of Adam at age he was at time of putting us all under inherited sin/penalty OR Jesus at death (students and I saw well think about 33 1/2 YET with youthful vigor like Adam and Eve had) we are restored!! The gift OF LIFE was ours from the beginning of the first couple. "God breathed into Adam and he BECAME a living soul" It's a trick to listen to the "temp time anxious thing" but it is real if you really really really desire to be a WIFE to a husband WHO is good friend of God. To be ready and especially IF you've been with anyone whether called married or "dating" and had relations.... There is need to repair and tweak perhaps. If women tell me oh he was a jerk.... If able to say back at them...."aren't you curious about YOURSELF how that happened you trusted that "jerk"? We gotta do our best to be ready to MARRY. You aren't really saying that. I personally don't think of that word as much as close intimate loving FOREVER together soul mate. Because it's the ONLY physical God who is good desires for a man or woman who's looking to him .....AS THEY LIVE.... So many other things to DO. Recall role you had as wife? I'm Not discussing the guy. Just you. Is there anything you had a problem with? Respect him? Listen to his good instruction? His counsel? But of course self respect yourself enough to know ahead of time if he would respect you physically and be honoring you. A "holy matrimony" of love making is the opposite of dog type sex that is taught to men and women. See? We've been lied to. We've been sold so many lies that were just little offshoots of the main lie...."you surely won't die" .... Eve was told this.... First lie.... She did die. We die. But that lie is perpetuated still .... Just dressed up different "of you won't die, you go somewhere after you die heaven or hell".... Same lie. We know truth. ESPECIALLY true love within us to be cultivated and grown that we are close to God... It's us as we get to see and know the tricks, lies, fake look of love, sensual lures, and pain and hurt of people who do stuff outside of his "user manual" because we see his LOVE is HIM. the character. The personality. Embedded image in his son. As a guy who has a son and someone says "man! He's your spitting image of you! He walks like you, talks like you...." Jesus was revealing THAT or even a glimpse of Adam and Eve we can only imagine the wholesome UNASHAMED love shared among them. Life first with God is BEAUTIFUL. Though outwardly we age.... It's no big thing. We learned mirrors and cool by the time we were at a certain age.... Before that we KNEW who we had good vibes about.... Who our heart wanted to play with. So adding that to (the innocent heart, but of course maturing wise mind) age is GOLD. Cheer up, my neighbor!!! There are many SINGLE men and women!!! You are not alone! And a friend of mine who had never had relations with a man, married at 63 to a man who became a widower. It is possible. I don't know if she is really happy. You see, because they are older and in this temp world timeline there is tribulation as the apostle Paul said would be in a marriage.... Add aging at the get go.... NEITHER do engage in physical fitness or weights but I think walk. Maybe. It's just she NEVER married until then. She now takes care of him because he is ill. Well, that was last time I saw her without him at a meeting (a nurse was looking in on him) see? I am religious. I used to be an undercover believer but when a SISTER is going through a real thing as you.... I've gotta reach out and say YOU ARE NORMAL!!!! and it's very human of us. Really!! Taking that feeling and in time it WILL turn into dynamic energy. Maybe today when you are free to you gotta read or write out stuff, or just tell our Father.... He knows. You are only 60+ ish ...I'm younger but I know I'll be there. But no matter....I just saw a dancing 86 year old on video. See? This life is SQUAT compared to what we were originally given and it was surrendered in the original garden. May you practice in relationships with people while you are patiently knowing prayers are answered. Meaning this: not in a physical way.... But I'm listening and talking and communicating. I've seen my shortcomings and I don't even know if I'm good to go before my Adam. I'm exasperated less of myself and I can be kinder with me but I'm our minds we gotta get that GOOD so we can be that way to others and spot if someone says something in a critical unkind way. Keeping free from toxic self or others that shouldn't be having too much closeness in friends way. Unequal yoke friendships can't go anywhere worthwhile and usually the glory to God isn't a priority in motive.

I'm 30 years old - I have a great career making 6-figures, I'm 6'1", I have my own place, I hit the gym 6x a week, I'm physically very fit, I'm well groomed, I attend every social function I can, I make women laugh a lot, I flirt with them, I dress very sharp with a well tailored suit but still, I get nothing. Even if I get their number that night, they don't respond when I eventually call or text them. I just get ghosted. I've only ever had booty calls my whole life but it's honestly the loneliest thing in the world. I'm craving to have a good woman by my side. Have you ever tried to capture a bird. You get close to that bird, pretend like u want nothing while working with your trap. If u have a nice car and a business then women should be flocking to you. Being lonely can in no way be a blessing. One reason you aren't meeting women is because you aren't going out and meeting women. Walk up to a woman you think is attractive and ask her for her number. You will probably get shot down but do that enough and you will get some numbers. Then ask them out. And don't rely on the Bible to tell you how to live. Treat people fairly and as you want to be treated, work hard, stay away from hard drugs and be a good person. And don't give up. Something good will happen. But you have to do your part to make it happen.
