he was starting to troll on twitter again before being banned, but tbh I think he's a bit worried he might have to pay the $60 mil fine and he wants to have his bases covered in the event that happens. He's launched 4 or so companies since he got out of prison (godel, druglike, dr gupta, the crypto gambling site (might be beta still), and Hume will release eventually but idk if it'll be for profit) Basically, once he's got his new business generating cashflow, he'll lighten up a bit, and once the lawsuit with the SEC is dealt with he'll reaaaaally lighten up, esp if he's allowed back in the pharma industry

9:20 Martin is wrong about Indians and the American dream. With most non refugee/asylum seeker immigration, you are selecting for people that come from families that are already wealthy and highly educated in their native countries, which is how they have the means to come to the United States. I'm not American but I'd imagine the American Dream essentially states that poorer/ lower middle class families can ascend on the basis of the merit of their children. Indian immigrants to the United States clearly don't fit this vision. Also on the crime point, none of this is necessarily endemic to Indian culture, if we look at wealthy families of all stripes they commit very low levels of crime irrespective of culture.
@banzaaiiiii
@banzaaiiiii Жыл бұрын
i agree more with HJ many of these power/lower middle class families are generational(black and hispanic families) but the ones mainly asian/indian that come from more stable families and major in hard STEM subjects have pretty much become the dominant higher earner in the USA. Ofc it's also not fair to compare this since both Indians and these asians come from a pool of 1b+ and USA/North America get the best of the best. Amrica still rewards the best but ofc -Homelessness, dysfunctional violent ppl, extreme poverty in some cases

Complete bs. I’ve had so many liberals debate this with me. Most of my friends and my family all mostly came in the 90s through the lottery system. Most of us have parents that work at gas stations or did for 5-10 years. our parents have an education equivalent of a ged or bachelors at best that doesn’t translate well to any meaningful job. Quick recap of my mothers background, raised by single father as her mother died when she was 3. My mothers father ran away from home at the age of 14 due to abuse by his step mother. My mother started school at 7 years old in Pakistan. She does hold a masters degree in international affairs from pakistan. Father only did tenth grade in pakistan. Both grandparents were completely uneducated and poor. Father was unemployed at 27 in pakistan and at 30 came with my brother and I at 30 and we lived in bad parts of town. He did gas station jobs and then a tow truck business and then finally after 12 years opened a mechanic shop. Made a measly 36k or less for years and we saved and moved out of bad area. My wife’s father still works at a gas station and mother at walmart. My wife is in dod and holds and engineering degree while having bilateral profiund hearing loss. Her older sister just finished residency. younger sister is with same bilateral profiund hearing loss is in a great school finishing up in 3 years. I hold a nice software engineering degree being the first from both my dads side and mothers side of the family(14 total aunts and uncles with 2-4 kids each) to have a degree in america. This might seem like an extreme case but most of friends who are south asian or asian have very similar background. Uneducated parents parents that don’t know english and know english at 7th grader level gas station and retail jobs very little family support outside of immediate family Uneducated grandparents The difference is that asians, Africans, South asians are willing to sacrifice clothes, showing off, fun, drinking, drugs and other things to create a good life for themselves. There are some friends who have parents that might be engineers or educated but even some of them came here and had to redo their USMlE or get a degree and work from the ground up.

@@banzaaiiiiiread below. From the pool of my closest 15 friends all south asian and african. Most had uneducated parents and parents that if they were educated don’t now much english. Some groups just have a much better handle on their kids and culture. Now the question is, who is ruining the culture of latin and AA. Africans do great here. Some latin people do as well.
