The Disguiser confusion is understandable. On release they would swap player roles, names , and position on the list (target had to die), but not wills. This is likely the origin of why people type their names in their wills, it was the only way to discern a disguised target. Disguiser no longer swapped roles in the first of the two Reworks.

The easiest way to think of a disguiser's visits is it visits a townie, samples that person's role and then covers up the mafia target's role with the sampled role. The disguiser has no effect on the non-mafia target. It's a bit confusing because you're trackable and vulnerable to visit attacks at both ends but you only directly affect the mafia member.

I feel like first match had a small chance without veteran in the end there, voting out 12 instead of CL since they were outed mafia when Big Mike was revealed to not be consig, since they whispered Big Mike that 6 was HM. But even then as a trapper there wasnt many options

Pipe, next time you’re forger and someone leaves mid game, forge them as exe and say one of the mafia is their target. I’ve never done this myself but I want to see if it works.

This could work actually if you keep the maf alive, forge the will and say the maf is your target and have your maf claim sheriff or invest if they are disg or consig respectively (then the disg can just use the disguise on the sheriff claims, so if they are sus he is still *technically* confirmed.) And the consig can claim invest because it's super easy to confirm.

To be fair if the jugg hadn't been an ass he could've given a genuine reason for taking the GA out which you yourself have given before. If he forgot the GA had used both protects and was expecting them to protect that night, attacking you would've been a wasted hit and you would've lynched him the next day. Taking out the GA ensures he wins because the GA, if he had a protect left, would have used it that night to guarantee you survived and it ends up being a 1v1 vs a Vigi who can't kill him anyway.

Big mike rolled high in his charisma stats and became the towns mascot as he shot them in the night as maf. Also that poor GA in game 2 couldn't even win even if jugg didn't kill him. Wouldn't have time to turn into surv :(

To be fair, if he wasn't paying attention or was too lazy to confirm how many times the GA used their protection, the GA kill was a decent one to make. If the GA had a protection, it would have resulted in 2 vs 1 the next day. So, killing the squishy unprotected target in this scenario was the play. The GA couldn't turn into Survivor the next day anyway, they change the morning after the target dies, not the night of their death.

Disguiser doesn’t swap the roles of the 2 people disguised. It only changes the results of the mafia member to the results of whoever they are disguised as. For example: Disguiser disguises themselves as 10, who is Jailor, The disguiser would show as inno and come up as Spy, Bmer, Jailor, GA. The jailor however would keep their spy, Bmer, jailor, GA results and it wouldn’t change to the disguiser’s results.

@Pig King The arso may have voted up the surv to try and save himself, but if he refused to, then you just vote him up instead. I didn't think the surv was jugg specifically, but I was pretty sure he was evil based on how he was acting all game. The arso would have almost definitely lost from voting up the surv, but it was definitely a better play than getting voted up himself.

Yes, Disguised target becomes a duplicate of the Disguised as role. The only time that Disguiser swapped roles (and only with dying players) was before the first Disguiser rework in November 2016

Wouldn't have worked, the Arso thought Jugg was Surv. They also just ignited, so they weren't voting regardless, they needed another night to douse, then another to ignite. Unfortunately, people believe unconfirmed Survivor claims. After confirmed evils are known and/or gone, you 'have' to turn to Surv claims, or if there aren't any better targets, it is better to lynch a surv than die to inaction. It is on the Survivor to vest and work for the win, towns giving survivors a pass unchecked, and expect them to win with them, is rather naive. Most of the time the claims turn out to be false, like this example, or the Surv turns on them when needed.

Disguiser in CAA is kind of weak but in ranked it can be a powerful role when used properly with potential to incriminate multiple townies at once. The disguiser can counter LO in many ways due to altered visits. Disguised mafia killing can kill someone watched by LO to incriminate another town member. Disguiser + BMer combo counters TPLO meta especially when it's jailor that during the day is told by the LO only townies visiting the blackmailed person, incriminating all TPs. Altering sheriff and invest results on maf can also come out handy. Witch may change disguiser's visit on maf to someone else incriminating all non-mafs on spy results. So many possibilities to carry as disguiser.
