So when the little boy called it out, everyone who was already pretending to see the clothes would just call the kid a fool. The king's actions don't make any sense at all either. They “pick” the winner! Objectivity & musical expertise is out the window - anyone who “believes” what they are saying mistakes their opinion for fact. The casual listener eating dinner while watching the show somehow thinks they are experts. So does grandma. You know where I’m going here…. I could talk all day about enthusiastic families firing me and/or belittling me after I’ve told them the student’s talent is lacking at that point in time. I Did exactly what I was hired to do. So do you! “Special ears” are a rare talent, even within the music world. It’s a similar argument about vocal health & whether to push an ailing performer to sing or allow them some assistance. Even in 1996 she was on lipsync and it was fine. Lady Gaga hates lipsync and always wants to sing live for her fans, but she was on lipsync. Rules are rules. I'm a big fan of Lara Fabián, and she was singing at the opening of Asian Games in 2011 and she was on lipsync . And I know and it was fine, I do understand rules and I wasn't so indigned and start attacking who says the truth. But it looks like all CD fan became suddenly expert... Without knowing a thing about music and voice recording. When i first watch the video, as a musician it came to me suddenly that it was on lipsync. The sound too perfect, no frecuency difference when she moves her mic, rain, no monitor,. No sound check before.. Everything sounded too perfect.. I did post my comment telling that, and I have been immediately attacked from bunch of people telling me I'm a liar, I'm spreading fake news and that I don't understand a thing about music. Then more people came out , like this KZbinr telling the truth , mostly of CD fans disappeared and some still keep telling this is a lie... I don't understand why it's so difficult to digest.. With a prerecording less is up to chance, and every second is accounted for ahead of time.

Agreed entirely. I think she chose to do whatever it took to be there and do that performance. I’m sure she had a lot of drugs in her system simply to be able to move like that. Given what we all saw in her recent documentary, there is simply no way she would be able to sing with that perfection under ANY circumstances, let alone under THOSE circumstances: in the rain, at night, in the open, under all that pressure. It was already enough of a miracle that she was THERE and MOVING. This was important for HER. She NEEDED to do that performance, and she needed it to be amazing. And it was. What is happening to her is a tragedy. I hope this moment is one that gives her joy, not pain, when she reflects on in it later in her life. She deserves joy.

It’s a spectrum disease, and I’m on the less severe end of the spectrum. From what I ‘ve heard of the severity of her disease, I cannot imagine hoe Celine STOOD for that long. Maybe she was propped up.

Tired of everyone lying. Sick to death of hearing about celebrities - could not care less now. Trusting no one and finding new sources of entertainment and true news is the goal these days.

Karen, I feel the exact SAME way you do. I’m so sick of being LIED to, by the media, the current administration, the DOJ, Congressional reps, state & local politicians, government intel agencies, the FBI and other government investigative agencies, government health officials, military officials, food manufacturers, big pharma, the list goes on and on!! And I’m disgusted with how Hollywood actors/actresses, talented young artists in the music industry, and talented young athletes and professional sports figures are all manipulated, changed, and molded into something they didn’t use to be in order to promote a “narrative” or to change or influence politics or social culture!! Where’s the America I LOVE and used to feel proud and happy to live in??💔😓

How about going to school? Better institution to trust than the entertainment industry nowadays.
@klnkat66003 ай бұрын
@@Vicente-en2zx Are you serious? Education is wholly captured by Marxist/Intersectional Feminist ideology which sees truth and beauty as kryptonite. They have lost all credibility, especially the most elite schools. Some cities, that have been blue for 80+ years, have 80+ graduated students that cannot read, much less are proficient in math. Ideology has corrupted education in order to erase history and objective truth for political control. Socialist activism is the goal, not classical education or critical thinking.

I think it's shameful that you would have to make another video just to prove your honesty because of these die-hard Celine Dion fans who refuse to believe that she can do no wrong. Right or wrong, she lip-synced, and you did well in proving that to all of us. You owe nobody any explanations. Well done!

Even as a “die-hard” Celine fan, I noticed the wavering vocals and now, courtesy of Fil, I learn that even those feeble vocals were enhanced. I’m a singer and I've noticed, with age two things: I can't always hit the note and I can't hear the note. My hearing is not what it used to be. I was tested at University of Michigan and declared to have perfect pitch...then. I no longer enjoy perfect-pitch. I watch Fil’s videos and learn that seemingly perfect vocals are enhanced. As a singer this is a slap in the face.

Ann Wilson has aged with dignity. She has moments of sheer brilliance but also segments of the reality of a brilliant artist who is 76. I saw her a few months ago from 5 feet directly in front of her and was able to chat between songs. She was just as magical and the legit spots where needed she rose to the occasion and she backed off elsewhere to save up for those chosen spots. Celine could have backed it down to a couple moments she could have similarly reached and it would have been 100 times more meaningful. Now, she is a sad thing, a liar of convenience who has insulted every fan who cares about how great she once was. Even with severe limitations, a scaled down but REAL version would have moved her fans way more than this mechanical monstrosity which is the last live image I will ever have of her. Sad.
@siewheilou3994 ай бұрын
@@JustPlainFolks Not so much a slap to the fans, more like it is hard to watch someone so beloved like her is in such an agony condition and position now, I do not blame her for pre-recording and enhancement technology, she is not the only one who did it that night, and it is a norm in showbiz, as outdoor performances rely heavily on the weather conditions, like the American President Inauguration performances were all pre-recorded, as the event is written in the law to be held in winter.

@JustPlainFolks I have a tremendous amount of respect for Ann for reasons that you have mentioned, and have always been a big fan of hers. Although I have not necessarily been a big fan of Celine, I certainly acknowledge what a great vocalist she was. There's a difference between lip-syncing on old television shows that either didn't have the space, or were not equipped for someone's soundboard and musical equipment and someone performing live in front of a massive crowd. Either way, lip syncing is a lie, but in this case, when fans were eagerly awaiting to see how this legend would perform, it seems like an even bigger lie. I would have much rather have seen her perform it live, flaws and all, even if her vocals had to be toned down to what they were capable of reproducing. I would have respected that greatly!
@carlgaddis1400Ай бұрын
Fil, keep up the good work I can hear what's your describing in the playback . alive performance and a studio version or pre-recorded track should never sound the same if it was done live. And don't let people bully you into making claims that aren't true, they're the ones lying to themselves!
