Covid or no Covid Farmers NEVER stop working, Respect.

I always found a hook dosing gun useless when the cow was held in the crush gate. However if you fill the race and go down dosing each one where she stands the cow in front will keep her head up when you remove the hook stopping her from dropping her head and losing product by spitting it out, I always catch the last one at the front again so that you are never dosing the one at the very front in the headlock. It’s worth trying, very speedy when you get the hang of it.

Just goes to show, farmers still have to tent to there jobs regardless how they feel. It’s a great thing for people to see. Your animal husbandry is second to none, them cattle are a credit to you. We use fishing line here to tie off the warts/berry’s, works a treat. Them dosing guns are messy, we just add a little extra dose to compensate for it. Great video Adrian

I found with the dosing hook, that you have to use the gun itself to keep the cow's head up for a few seconds. Not that easy to do. You have to sort of pull backwards and up. Did someone mention a head scoop ??? 😉

I watch some of #TWIV weekly clinical updates with Daniel Griffin. From what I understand some people should be getting paxlovid, straight away. Take it easy, some COVID infections can really take it out of you for a while. Some people have long COVID, that's quite scary. IndieSAGE have episodes on that. It's possibly similar for some cases to some cattle that get pneumonia and are left with lung scarring. I hope you make a full recovery.
