Wow, Adrian! Electrician, plumber, mechanic, and carpenter???? Holy smokes! And picking up and carrying that calf to the new shed!!! I am so glad you are having the girls help you with learning how to use tools and measure timber. I need to put up some very nice pictures on the wall. Knowing how to use a drill and molly bolts that my father taught me has been a great help. Feeling confident enough to measure where to drill the holes for the molly bolts was a skill that I have used over the years. My goodness, your girls have a true catalog of practical skills they are learning. Good on you!!!!

Hi adrian. Did you ever try Echinacea for the sinuses? It's great stuff stops them from swelling. You can get it from your local chemist. Its available in capsule form or liquid form. Them grooved Slatts are supposed to give grip on unroofed collecting yards only , they are not designed to put into coverd cattle accommodation but some people put them in and get on fine but as u said they are very hard to clean , I tick the box when ordering tags and get the paper cards with the tags , I tag calves every day and record them in my notebook . Then once a week instead of me trying to catch a calve in a house and scan the tag I can scan the bar code form the card and register them all from the kitchen table useing Herdwatch
@IFarmWeFarm3 жыл бұрын
Did you see the newer batch calf registration for herdwatch, we upgraded to it this year, we scan the tag before we put it on and record a few calves at a time, then we can register them all at the one time. It’s very handy
@jerryryan87693 жыл бұрын
@@IFarmWeFarm I did se that , and tried to do it but I’ll have to pay more and upgrade my basic package to get that small feature , I’m not going paying more for that Small feature alone I’ll tip away without it . maybe try bringing over the petrol scraper in the bucket every 2 or 3 days and give them slats a rub and se will it do a better job ?
