The way you tweak your reels and then see the results is so great, here you have a new reel vs an old one, same model, and yet the performance is better on the older model, amazing indeed, that plus so many other things is what makes your advice so great. That BG1.5#8 with the Keitech is on my list for the weekend.

Maybe I'm just a cheap ass but I love that Shimano reel. I think it's decent quality for the price. That new Vanford sounds so much better after you tweeked it a little 👌🏾

No, i have not. They are owned by Daiwa now. I talked to daiwa about me selling those rods, but i dont think Daiwa likes me..

I want to try a higher end reel one day, but the legalis has been working so well for me. I'm doing light game salt fishing on the west coast, and often hook into fish that run. The weight and drang are fantastic. I dont understand why JDM rods are made in such small quantities and so infrequently. The abu garcia rods are so hard to get and its hard to tell if theyll ever be made again

The vanford is much lighter.. better line lay. No comparison. But whatever u do, don't buy that HG shit models

@@daniramirez6043 do u know about cars? Imagine having a stick shift car, and missing the lower two gears. And trying to start on 3rd gear every time you want to start. You choking, you have no power and at the end you break your transmission

If you want a twitch bait about that size I recommend the "mule minnow 2.2", it is made with an elostomer plastic like the zman. It is my favorite twitcher. How did that Sil-Glyde brake grease work out, had a chance to use it yet?

A water resistant all purpose rubber silicone lubricant that i use on my truck brakes as well as my drag washers. It was on one of your kast king kestrel videos where you were showing what drag lube you used. You can also put sil-glyde on rubber bushings if they squeel to make them last longer or prevent anything you want from corroding. I am a mechanic by trade, you can put it into electrical connections to keep moisture from ever getting into them.

Someone said that the new Vanford has a thicker piece of metal material where the spring/hammer is located compared to the old. Maybe that dampens the noise a bit

yes.. there is a new plate there .. The plate feels metal but maybe its glued badly..

At the beginning i also thought so, but, it will just reduce the intensity of sound,not lower it, maybe is another material (my opinion too much plastic) , or the spring is another material. I think they are perversely made this,that they differentiate the gap between Vanquish and Vanford . Well, putting ceramic bearings and everything else will not provide you a Vanquish, and aslo Viktor said you don’t need no Vanquish,and they listened.That’s why we must say what we wish, better than saying I don’t need a more expensive product,now will they make just like Apple,more things you just can’t change for a normal consumer.All the best 🥳

@@tavi4400 that actually is very close to what i am thinking. They also made it pretty much impossible to put bearings on the oscillation worm now. They just didn't like all these videos with people putting the bearings themselves. As for the clicker... maybe the difference they are aiming for is not between Vanford and Vanquish, but maybe between Vanford and Soare XR for example. THey can put a nicer clicker in the Complex XR and people will think its a nicer reel. In the last generation there was no point to buy the reels on top of the Vanford

For no reason, although i have the whole old Vanford family, i am glad you spoke about Complex Xr, i have managed to make it feel like no other from the same family, even the click is just gorgeous like the Cardiff Xr,but..is not as rigid as Vanquish, and that’s another story,but hey, i was happy with a 350$ Complex Xr,instead of a 400+$ Vanquish,because of Looks and matchy Combos.I didn’t mind the work, because i like servicing my own Reels, and i appreciate all what you say in your Videos about Reels. Viktor,you’re the best!

its not anti twist. Nothing can stop twist. Its anti slack. If you have fished for over a year, you shouldn't have problems with slack. If you are a total beginner, then i guess u can use it

Who knew that Z-Man Micro Wormz would work that well! I definitely have to pick some of those up! I have some of your 1.25 gram heads already to use with them. Are the 1.5 gram too heavy? I have some of those as well.

If one of the two reels has a smoother drag, it is legalis. But they are both perfect for my taste

Hey Victor, hope all is well. Just curious if you’re going to order a back up for the back up Eradicator? I guess the eBay seller fishingonline4 was able to make “one last order” for them directly from Abu Garcia. I wonder how they will compare to the O.G. rod.

Agreed. He said they’ll ship in two weeks but I got a shipping notification already in less than 24 hours. It’s the same company Randy used when he got his I believe. I hope it’s legit 😂

Not yet. The seller sent a notification out on 12/28 that the rods had cleared customs and they’d be shipped in about a week but I’ve checked my tracking number, and nothing has been sent to the shipper yet. The seller did say shipping would be delayed so we will see.

man... i cleaned it , oiled it, put it back - still noise. I replaced the whole bearing, still noise. I think the plastic wore out and is touching something.. Its the line roller because otherwise the reel is quiet. I think i will replace the whole thing altogether, with the stupid plastic, and there will be no plastic no more there.. Will update..
