Fantastic fight. Both fighters deserve a lot of respect. Joshua proved he can take a hit and get back up and Klitschko proved he's still one of the best even at 41. I don't think either Wilder or Parker would have beaten Klitschko tonight.

Vk Deen Hard to say. Klitschko looked bad against Fury but that's because he made him look bad. On the other hand maybe he underestimated Fury and trained much more seriously in this fight. Either way Fury did beat Klitschko much easier than Joshua.
@vkdeen7570
@vkdeen7570 7 жыл бұрын
scabab well yes and no. That without a doubt was the best and most motivated klitscho we've since for and least 10 years. The klitscho fury fought was the worst we've seen. Yes fury is awkward and has good movement and psychology wound wlad up ... but do I seriously believe fury has such skill to make that marked a difference in wlad's performance? No. I think u hit the nail on the head, I think wlad underestimated fury badly. Don't forget he'd been so comfortable for so long and fury comes across as a joker... in effectively his home country wlad wud of felt very overconfident. Fury hardly dominated wlad.... it was a horrible narrow scruffy victory in a fight where hardly anything was thrown let alone landed. Fury correctly got a narrow decision. But just imagine this wlad more motivated throwing more punches in Germany ... no way wud fury gets that decision. It was wlad's inactivity rather than brilliant punches from fury that cost him in the fight in my opinion. I guess we'll never know for sure tho. Such a shame fury cudn't keep himself in shape physically and mentally and stay off the drugs issues. It wud of been great to see a wlad rematch or a fight with aj... sadly it won't be for a while, if ever
@SR1Records
@SR1Records 7 жыл бұрын
Vk Deen A narrow decision? 2 judges gave Fury 8 rounds and Klitschko 4 rounds. The other judge gave Tyson 9 rounds and Wlad 3 rounds. And you think that's narrow? Also, Klitschko underestimating Fury isn't the reason that he barely threw any punches. He barely threw any punches because Fury was so awkward and mobile that Klitschko didn't have a clue what to do! However - that was a much better Klitschko that fought tonight! I said before the fight that Klitschko will retire after AJ beats him. I though AJ would beat him easier than that, and now I don't think Klitschko will retire. I think he'll want a shot at Windmill Wilder or Parker now to see if he can beat them. I don't think he'll fight anyone who isn't a world champion though.
@WelshEmperorClips

Wlad is tough and is now the underdog in a sense, he likes the challenge so will probably go for wilder or somebody up there, to see if he can beat them like SR1 said.

Big mistake of WK in 6th round after AJ went down. Klitschko was too guardedly. The big brother Vitali in his best years would have knocked the sh** out of Joshua. But lot of respect to AJ for his comeback after going to the ground.

9/10 of promoters are slimey cunts & don't have there boxers best interest at heart, Hearn, Hennessey, warren, & as u say don king.. Ect ect are all in it for a fast buck $£€ don king clearly showed that directly after the Benn McClellan fight his fighter Gerald McClellan was getting stretchered outta the ring while he was tryin to sign Nigel Benn ( whilst being filmed on camera. Disgraceful disrespectful stuff) wouldn't trust any of these promoters. they get big money but don't get a single punch in the face they look at fighters as idiots & objects they can use.

Josh did good! He answered the questions, he had to dig deep and find a way and thats all you can ask of someone. I couldnt pick a winner prior to,,, I knew Wlad wilts under a bombardment from equal power and size opponents but the fact Josh had only fought stiffs and has never been in deep trouble, how was he gonna hold up under duress? He answered all of that and deserves the credit as a true fighter who can get up off the floor and keep trying to win. Well done!

A better fight than I expected. Lots of drama and could have gone either way but went Joshua's way. Klitschko had his chances in 6,7, & 8 rounds when Joshua's was blowing but couldn't put him away. A fight with Fury is inevitable, if Fury can get his mind right, and I envisage a very difficult fight for Joshua. Fury is a highly skilled fighter who can fight southpaw as well as orthodox.

All the below points are the truest you will read today: 1. Eddie Hearn pays judges. How 2/3 judges had AJ winning the fight at point of stoppage is bullshit. 2. AJ is chinny and gassed early coz of the artificial muscle but showed great heart 3. Wlad, the most experienced fighter in the world made the most innexperienced move by not pressing for the knock out in rounds 6-9 when he had AJ out on his feet. He allowed AJ to get a second wind. fight could have been over round 7/8 for Wlad if he pressed 4. Hearn signed Luis Ortiz to keep him away from AJ 5. Congrats to AJ because despite the annoying casuals he knows he has MAJOR flaws, but to his credit he seems honest enough to admit them and try work on them. 6. Give this a big thumps up

For the first 5 and a half rounds Anthony had Wlad so numbered. Then midway through round 5 AJ knocks Wlad down, gets a little lazy in his hubris, goes flat footed & lowers his hands. Wlad bounces back for a few more rounds & ends up knocking AJ down because of AJ's folly in planting his feet & putting his hands down. AJ eventually gets back into his groove, knocks Wlad down twice in the 11th & then backs him into a corner. Game over, but you can tell AJ knows he shoulda had him in the 5th had he not dropped his hands and stopped his foot movement.

I get the vibe that matchoom and team AJ are not happy with their performance tonight. They were reaching out to a lot of casuals tonight, and are tryna tell them all "remember, he's still learning". I agree wholeheartedly, but I get the feeling deep down AJ thought he would mow through Klit and is a little embarrassed with his performance. I don't think he should be at all....just sense this.

Aj showed he has power has heart but he also showed he doesn't have a boxing brain. Does not have a good defence holds his left far too low is opened to right hands which he took all night, doesn't know how to hold. As for wlad, anyone who rated him one of the all time greats were only looking at a fighter that had little competition in an era devoid of quality. Though he and his brother were very good fighters "his brother better" Tyson fury played with him with wlad, what would Ali in his prime have done to him? People say he wasn't on it that night, but fury didn't allow him to be on it. Tonight a powerful but limited inexperienced fighter like Joshua, knocked wlad out, what would a prime Mike Tyson, a skillful boxing animal have done to him? It was an exciting fight but could easily have gone either way. That doesn't say too much for Joshua, a fresh young powerful fighter only just got the job done against someone he really should have walked over if he was to show the world he is way ahead of any other boxer out there as Tyson did as Ali did. Remember what Tyson done to Berwick, to spinks? when put in with one of the greats Larry Holmes he destroyed him! Tysons knock out of pinklon Thomas has to be one of the greatest knockout in heavyweight history. Joshua is a decent fighter at the moment and will probably be very successful for a number of years but he has some more 50/50 fights with Parker and wilder. This fight did not separate him from them the bookies will not be making him overwhelming favourite in those a fights. Lewis Holyfield even frank Bruno would have beaten him in my opinion on that proformance. At the moment He is a modern day sonny liston, big and powerful but a skillful well conditioned boxer will dance rings round him. Joshua has the edge but Joseph Parker, wilder will be far more confident about taking him on after this show. Joshua definately needs a new trainer, someone to teach him the finer points of boxing. Joshua's power and heart got him through this fight he will need more than that to have a long career. It should be back to the drawing board because he can't have too many battles like tonight. Tyson fury must be licking his lips, hopefully he will get himself in shape and return but that's a big ask now despite his promises. Joshua can beat him and become a great but only if he is trained properly, he needs a high profile American trainer. Kevin Rooney? Freddie roach? Someone that actually knows how to use the pads 😏 It would be a real shame if Joshua doesn't fulfill his potential because his trainer and promoter, are Idiots. Even though he came through this fight it was too soon for him and was a massive gamble. For him to become great acquire an air of invincibility he need at least another ten fights against lower opposition as wilder has done no body rushed that guy. And his trainer and promoter should have known that. I really hope Joshua goes on too be a great champion, he looks the part talks the part but he has a lot to learn. The true boxing fan will know this but he needs the best trainers in the world. He can well afford them now. And he needs a promoter that isn't dazzled by the headlights and has Joshua's best interests at heart to ensure we have him entertain us for many years to come.

Congrats to AJ for getting the W he found the way to get it done but Fury will be well motivated by what he's seen tonight he'll know if he brings it to AJ he's well capable of taking him out, AJ won't be able to deal with Fury's style... that was proven between rounds 5 1/2 & 10. Put a fit, sharp Fury in rounds 6-10 tonight and Joshua would have been taken out. Fury is far more confident than Wlad and would risk going for the KO far more. Take nothing away from AJ though he got the biz done tonight👏🏼

Respect to both champions. Let's just hope no one rope-a-dopes AJ because he only has so many exchanges he can engage in before he's spent. I've seen ALL of his pro fights, and that it my thoughts anyway.

Extremely impressed with Anthony tonight. He proved that not only could he survive against an elite class fighter, he can k.o an elite class fighter. AJ showed that he can basically fight for 12 rounds without fatigue and can reserve himself enough to uncork some powerful blows deep in the fight. Supremely impressed with AJs performance and his growth. Congrats champ!

Teth Adamus he was fatigued after the knockdown in round 5 but it was because he bulked up a lot and was throwing heavy powerful shots this will make him a better fighter though and teach him to be more reserved and better condition for future fights

I'm glad he won but he was def tired in the 6th round, I thought it was over but he showed hella heart tonight!

He was tired but not fatigued/exhausted. Theres a difference between the two. Anthony was never gassed out at any point in the fight. Did he get tired after a few rounds? Yes, but not fatigued to the point where he was lumberin around throwin lazy shots.

Disagree, he got caught with a lot of shots bc he was fatigued in the 6th and 7th. Bounced back though, mad props!

I have never seen Joshua looking like this after a fight,he looks smashed/he was losing,i had Wlad winning and people forget that he fought a 42 years old that has not stepped in the ring in more than a year.tonight i lost that feeling that Josjua could be that special kid-A 30 years old active Klitschko would have destroyed him.

Rambo Iii wlad looked better than hes done for years. He was faster, moving better and not hugging as much which would have been a detriment to him. also AJ is still improving

+Dan The man no Wlad has always been like this. Fury made him look bad cus he was being awkward so he couldn't land any punches. Wlad did not land a punch on fury. Wlad brutally dropped joshua and hit him clean 15+ times. Think about that

Sam Armstrong wlad didn't even throw in that fight he was tentative. Although rounds 11 and 12 when he somewhat tried he did trouble fury

I had Klitschko up by 1point at the start of the 11th, so if the 11th was 10-7 prior to the stoppage I had Joshua 2points up before the stoppage, how did you guys have it?

Im a Tyson Fury guy from day dot.. but if he had faced this Klitschko in their rematch a year and a half ago, i think Klitshcko would of knocked him the fuck out.. Got to say that AJ is the king of the hws now, Tysons gotta come back and beat AJ if he really wants to go round saying he is the best now

I honestly believe in a rematch, Joshua doesn't win. For some reason klitschko give him 2 /3 round to recover, rounds 7,8,9 klitschko took it slow and easy, maybe his prediction was for the later rounds to KO him or over to win on points that's why he stopped.

I feel Joshua would demolish Wilder, Parker and a lot of the other HW. But, I feel a rematch with vlad or fury are 50/50. The thing is with fury he eased through wlad and made it look easy IN GERMANY. Only time will tell but, I feel the style between Fury and Joshua will tell another story.
@Scoobay
@Scoobay 7 жыл бұрын
hjamal It was a different style of fight. Fury v Klitschko wasn't a spectacle to watch, this was both guys trying to win rather than trying not to lose. If Fury fought in the same vain AJ did tonight, Klitschko would've tagged him a lot more. These are the fights that are remembered years down the line, the Fury fight will be a distant memory. Also, AJ finished the fight, Fury didn't.
