for me recording work conditions is NOT illegal in california. actually even a law exists banning employers from even asking it to be private. but this still doesnt stop most employers acting like everything is private. and also most of the apps that record phone calls don't actually work or shut down. and the stock voice recorders on android devices don't record stuff with transcriber well, and i must carry around a clunky tablet if i want to record any phone call from an external device. so for me the iflytek checks alot of boxes, and i also like that there is no online service i need to pay for. i deal with alot of situations discussing job opportunies, contracts, sales, aggrements, etc, and it's vital to have some form of evidence of the situations. without the evidence the chances of seeking justice if some laws broken goes down.

Interesting. I have a voice recorder from Sony that works also pretty good but lacks the transcription feature that might be very useful. Great product.

I need a voice recorder to transcribe audio to text in Word and any other writing software to my laptop and my iPad/Iphone. What do you suggest?

The Transcription does not work very well. I took it on an audit x2 and the transcription wasn't even close. Returning tomorrow.

That's frustrating. Sorry to hear - in my experience it definitely wasn't perfect but for my voice and native speakers, it's been good enough. The more I've used it the more I've realised it struggles with accents. Hope you don't have any issues with the returns process. Basil

If you speak in English but have the transcription on spanish say, will it translate your english to a spanish transcript, or does it only say recoginize english words in english, spanish words in spanish etc. can u mix and match spoken to transcript language or no?

Transcription means to transfer audio into words so you can read the lecture or meeting, etc.

I used this device and I own it and I can honestly say its complete trash. 1) Horrible voice pick up as a recorder in a 250 square feet office 2) Terrible transcription for "AI" 3) They trap you with a terrible return policy. You cannot return if "has been used" or if it was "on sale" if you check on their site its always on sale... DO not buy!
