It would have been nice if the commentators had told us why climbers were getting pulled down at the start. Especially since the video often (inexplicably) didn't show the start.

For W3 it was due to out of bounds. There's some black tape near the grey volume.

I think in order to make that cross move with the left hand into the pocket a bit harder. Some climbers put their left foot there to help push to the right and they were called off by the judges.

I'm pretty sure that tape was only meant for M1, but nobody told the judges.

I am not sure if they can do that though. Place tape only for the men and not for the women if they climb simultaneously. I think they should have removed it after M1 was done

It's due to her foot being out of bounds. There's black tape on the side of the grey volume. Also it happens again at 1:04:48

Israel in Euro cup huh. Correct me if I'm wrong by Syria and Lebanon are much closer, how come aren't those countries in?

Syria and Lebanon participate in the Asian games. Israel was excluded from them in the 1980's due to pressure from Arab countries. In the 1990's Israel was admitted into the European sports organisations. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympic_Committee_of_Israel
