Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it! I’d say mostly normal, masks are still required by many businesses and there are a few restrictions at the border entering Japan. Otherwise though, it’s all good! I think if you wanted it to be completely in full gear again I’d wait a few months!

Welcome here. If you use trains often, you should use "suica" card that makes you easily to take trains. You need to charge it 500 yen or more.

I am Japanese. Japanese curry is reputed to be delicious. Ramen is also popular, but you should try a different flavor next time. Try the soy sauce ramen!

魚 is the general kanji for fish (look out for that if you don't like fish) and 肉 is the kanji for meat, if you want meat you could always ask for niku ☺️

I think it's awesome you got to visit Japan now, when it's not so crowded (by tourists at least), but what's the mask situation there? Apparently you need to wear it at all time? Like even outside? It has been really cool to see it with way fewer tourists. For masks, there isn't a mandate (though most shops/crowded areas still require them) and I think the government has even told people that its not necessary to wear them outdoors anymore, but the VAST majority of people still do. We don't want to be "those tourists" though, so we're going to wait until the majority of people don't wear them to forgo it!! Aww thank you!! it has been a long journey, but we honestly just love making the videos and would probably continue to regardless of the tube lol. They're a great way to document and share precious memories!! Hope youve been well!!

They wore masks even prior to the pandemic (if they weren’t feeling well) and they aren’t officially required (except on public transit, crowded indoor spaces, private businesses etc) but people are still wearing them and there’s a pretty big social pressure to! With Covid cases on the rise I don’t foresee them going anywhere for a bit longer!

It is just the card they write your doses on when you receive them, no special certificate needed! Bring the original copy of that and before going be sure to download and fill the mysos app, they will require you to upload pictures of your card too! :)

Ummm… dude 1. He doesn’t like fish. Some people just don’t like certain foods. 2. He still ate it anyways (as seen in video) 3. Going to Japan if you can't eat fish is not really recommendable.

Absolutely!! He loves yakiniku, Japanese curry, ramen, udon, and many noodles without fish base, fried foods and tempuras, Japanese desserts and baked goods... not to mention all of the other cuisines available that are cooked well here!! But sometimes you run into fish, regardless he tries it and sometimes he even likes it. :)

i always find Japan as “ a falling down country” .. Ive lived for 6 years and then I left the country. every time I revisit the country, I feel like the country just stopped in back ‘80s ..no changes (well obviously there are minor changes though)

Nice loved the video. I have been to Japan several times as my wife is Japanese. We are now considering moving to Japan permanently. I believe it is pretty straight forward especially as she is aJapanese Citizen. I have always wanted to live in Japan ASI love the people,culture, food and all Japan has to offer. Enjoy your travels. Have you noticed a lot of Tourists since October 11 or since you arrived in Japan. I have a Hawaiian friend who lives in Nara, who is married to Japanese lady, and he tells me how Japanised Hawaii is.

I think Japan could work really well for some people, and if you have the ability to move and at least try it out, why not? :) We've definitely noticed more and more coming in, it was almost none the first couple of days. Haha right! The vending machines are cool!! The food prices are insanely cheap! The yen is falling in value compared to the dollar.. a LOT recently. It was more expensive a couple of years ago, you’re not wrong!
