I used to to have severe chronic migraines almost daily. My boyfriend & I lived together & I can remember him seeing me go to the kitchen for popcorn, ice cream or poptarts for dinner. He would call me out & say you need to eat some real food, this is why your head always hurts. I would get SO mad & emotional & try to guilt him for blaming me for something "out of my control". I'd say I was too tired & my head hurt too much to cook & he was making me feel even worse 🙄. I was so used to telling people outside the house my victim story & getting sympathy but I couldn't fool him because he could see how terrible my eating habits were behind closed doors. It wasn't until I went to a 3 week treatment program where I learned the psychology of creating problems & pretending to struggle to solve them while not really wanting to solve them. It was life changing. Once I changed my diet I got so much better. Same thing my partner had BEEN SAYING for years! Once I learned how to do this, I'd try to share this idea of examining your own behavior, see how it's contributing to your problems & change it. Ofcourse no one wanted to hear this & I would just trigger ppl the same way I was triggered by the truth back then. I'm so glad Love is speaking on this so clearly. It would be a different world if this were more well understood.
