I love your breakdowns/reviews just curious any info on the 3m polisher by chance. Keep up the great work
@improvedgarage

Thank you! I have not tried the 3M polisher, but it looks interesting. At that price point you can have a rupes, or a Milwaukee, or a pair of LE / shinemate. Its possible that the 3M is awesome and totally worth the money, but its weird that nobody is talking about it if it is.

Are there any future plans to release higher end options for pro or daily use?
@Diemo_LE
@Diemo_LE 3 ай бұрын
@@YuriTarded-hf1nv Yes there will be a Pro Line of polisher’s also available, but I can assure you, there are a number of professionals in Germany who are using our machines on a daily basis and they are not having any troubles with it at all regarding longevity. And let’s face it, even if one machine brakes down after using it on a daily base let’s say for example after 3 years and you have to replace it, you still spend less money buying a LE replacement machine than going with a polisher of one of the big brands in first place with the big difference that you are owning now again a brand new machine, right?

@@Diemo_LEwhat is the warranty on these polishers? Also, curious if you guys have a repair program similar to rupes where I believe it’s something like $50 to send in for repairs?
@Diemo_LE
@Diemo_LE 3 ай бұрын
@@1thechosenjuan1 Hello. The warranty on our machines are 2 years. If they brake within the 2 years, we´ll send you a new one. You should keep the receipt for proof of warranty. And no, we´ll not open a repair facility in the near future. We think, let´s say, after 5 years your machine went wrong, you will probably buy a newer model anyway, and don´t spend i.E. 150 Dollar in repairing the "old" machine, right? We are constantly improving our machines, so it makes sense to upgrade then to the new model.

Subscribed. I saw these on the OG website and will be pulling the trigger, but I wanted more info first and found this video. I'm an entry-level guy and I got a Griot's G9 and have been practicing on our '16 Chevy Suburban in preparation for doing my new '23 Challenger Scat Pack Widebody and applying a ceramic coat - either CSL+EXOv5, or maybe CCI Advanced. Your dialogue and presentation skills are impressive and even though I saw that this video was 49 minutes long, it didn't feel like it. Well done!

Not sure if you already pulled the trigger on this, but if you haven’t, I would highly recommend you try taking a look at the shine mate polisher. Both are decent entry level options but it appears as though the shinemate is far less prone to stall than the LE and has a bit more power over LE
@improvedgarage
@improvedgarage 3 ай бұрын
Im going to have to do another video. Maybe the shinemate is a better machine, I've never tried it.. I honestly don't think the "stalling" is the issue some people are making it out to be. You have to jam the pad into a corner to make it stall, and use way more force than I would recommend using to do it. A polisher is supposed to have like 5-10 pounds of pressure on it to effectively correct paint, with the pad flat I had to dent the hood to get it to come close to stalling. I would be interested in hearing Sebastian's take on it, Im guessing its a built in safety feature, Rupes does this too. Here is a really good video from rupes directly kzbin.info/www/bejne/gp-2oqCNnN5kmrc Forced rotation machines exist, and this isnt one of them
@1thechosenjuan1
@1thechosenjuan1 3 ай бұрын
@@improvedgarage yes, I think you should try the shinemate out. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. As for the amount of pressure that should be used it’s hard to really say since that figure would change and would depend on what you’re working on. 5-10lbs sounds like the bare minimum you would want to use as 20lbs is what I would consider to be the avg when compounding. I also forgot to mention a minor detail I didn’t like about the LE polisher was the lag or time delay from when the trigger was pulled to the machine actually starting.

Good video, I think your testing of the 5” polisher should have included it’s ability to perform on vertical panels or panels with more contours to get a more compressive sense of the machine rather than just an assessing it on a hood - this is often overlooked in videos that review polishers - just something to consider
@YuriTarded-hf1nv
@YuriTarded-hf1nv 3 ай бұрын
Spot on. Polishing a small area on an easy flat panel really doesn’t provide enough feedback for us to say whether it’s a good or bad polisher.

@Improved Garage: I saw that you have the LE T4000 and the Milwaukee M18 FUEL Excenter ... I just bought the T4000v2 MK2 and I was thinking before about getting the Milwaukee (because of the no-cable benefit and it looks like it has extreme power with its Brushless Motor) ... You compared them a bit in the video ... except the fact that the Milwaukee has the no-cable benefit ... would you prefer the Milwaukee over the T4000 ? ... and why ? ... is there something else to mention, what has not already been said in the video ? Thanks in advance ! :)
@improvedgarage
@improvedgarage Ай бұрын
I think I could easily choose either one and be happy. For me as a guy in my garage who uses them occasionally I would pick the Milwaukee, but only because it’s convenient and because I already own the batteries. If I was a makita or dewalt guy I wouldn’t spend the extra for a whole additional ecosystem. If I was a mobile guy I would also pick the Milwaukee, batteries are just easier in someone’s driveway or parking lot. If I owned a shop and used it all day I would probably go for the LE, the cord is long and it would be more convenient to not have to change batteries throughout the day. Again both are really good.

Even though it costs slightly more I’ve always believed the duetto to be the best entry level polisher as it packs enough power while also being a versatile tool. Side note* could be just me but the something about the sound of the 1” seemed off? No?
@improvedgarage
@improvedgarage 3 ай бұрын
great note about the duetto. The 1" seems to have a "pulsing" sound like its trying to regulate the speed. Im not sure its an issue, when you apply pressure it seems to go away. YOu can hear what im talking about best in the part when im doing the door handle, there was no pressure on the cone.
