イギリス英語を沢山聴きたいなら BBC Radio4 がお薦めです。私がケンブリッジCPEを取ったのは34年前、未だインターネットの存在しない頃だったので、Radio4 (BBC World Service も良)には随分お世話になりました。

Eric, I honestly feel that I like to keep listening to all these boys and girls without your interruptions. I'm almost 70 and appreciate these centenarians for every word they say. Their words are (especially their clear elocution (not sure if this word is fitting here but none the less)is marvelous not to mention their precious life stories. They give me a great motivation for another 40years to come. Onward and forward !! Thanks for the great video and good luck in your another (what) 70 some years or more to come.

I agree! As much as I would have liked to avoid interrupting, if I had just copied the original with no commentary, it would have been a copyright issue. Hence why I mentioned at the beginning of the video, for people who want to watch the original, the link is in the description :). Much appreciated!
This is such wonderful collection of interviews. Thanks.

I'm impressed by this video. I watched this while thinking about my father, who passed away last year. He also lived a long life, although he did not reach 100 years old. I lived with my parents in London when I was a baby, so I tried to learn English with a British accent from a young age until now. Your channel is a great help😊

The interview was fascinating and impressive! Sometimes, it's nice to put yourself in someone else's shoes. I hope your father lived a long and fulfilling life :) It's much easier to pick up the local accent while you are living there isn't it? Thank you for your kind comment!

I like the phrase 'Keep right on to the end of the road'. I agree with your comment 'Most people in our current generation tend to worry about things like relationships, work and passing tests.' We are materially much wealthier than our parents or grandparents generation but I cannot answer whether we are feeling happier than that they felt. As it's peaceful (in the most of the regions in the world) we should be able though!

Thank you for the comment! I love your sentence "We are materially much wealthier", superb English! It's interesting isn't it? As times change, our problems and things we take for granted change too. No matter the situation, I feel like people will never be completely satisfied, but hey, that's life!

One more comment, Eric. As I continued listening to all these great individuals, I realized that I can lay back and listen to them without worrying about missing the word(s). I remember that when I first started learning English it was on a little island in Puget sound Seattle WA. Back then parents on the islands didn't worry about stranger, Asian boy (19 yr old Japanese) talking to their kids. Time has changed since then. Talking to older folks or to young kids just to learn English may get you seated in the back seat of police car. ( actually happened to me later during my college summer time job in Texas LOL)

Excellent! Deep talks. Though you are bilingual, your facial expression may not be that of Japanese. 🙂

英語を勉強しながらNHKの番組を思い起こさせるような、感傷的な気持ちにもなれました。イギリス英語も勉強できて良かったです。個人的にはyour chapped lips bothered me a bit during the video. でした。
