So like... Super Smash Bros... but in a more 3D environment... I can imagine a lot of people remaking Mario Party but having Fire Emblem and Metroid characters. XD If that were to ever happen, I'd hope they'd give more love to other games that don't have the luxury of having playable characters in Smash like Advance Wars and Ice Climbers (RIP).

This game is what got me into gaming, all the characters and stories and just content, the way they had a normal story based game modes and the playground type of mode, if you wanted a type of puzzle rpg type game, you play as jack, if you wanted a more puzzle and stealth type game, monster university, and a open world type with a side story where you can grow your arsenal, incredible.

I'm getting tired of this, DISNEY INFINITY IS NOT A SKYLANDERS RIPOFF!! Reason 1. Take away the figure aspect and then tell me its a ripoff 2. The Figure-to-game aspect is evolving into a genre so basically your saying every 2D platformer's a mario bros clone 3. And here's the kicker, infinity was in development BEFORE the first Skylanders was announced

I'm 20 a huge Disney fan and decided to get something relaxing instead of fps games or horror. I have to say it really gives you a nostalgia buzz it's almost like when you first played Spyro mixed with the excitement of seeing your first Disney movies again. Seriously if you're on the fence about getting it. I highly recommend doing so it's fun and you can make the combat hard, making the game play epic.

I'm 20 aswell. And my cousins who are 14 and into COD are calling me stupid for getting 2.0. But man they don't understand how old shooters can get and this is a great game. It's different and though it has action, it's relaxing and just fun!

Each character toy includes: - The character in-game - That character's world - The adventure missions in that world (5hrs I think they said) - Unlockable level editor items to collect in that world (along with items that only they can collect that are related to that character) - And about 15 cool random level editing items that come from levelling that character up. I think thats a pretty good deal personally

It is. Avalanch, the Salt Lake City game development crew that made Toy Story 3 worked with Disney to make this, and they used a lot from Toy Story 3. Toy Story 3 was essentially the prototype to this, and they call Disney Infinity the "Spiritual Successor to Toy Story 3". Strangely, it's the story modes that play like Toy Story 3's roundup mode.

So many people bashing skylanders and disney infinity in the comments, why? Well perhaps they have the same concept, Take a toy, stick it on a platform and it comes to life on your tv screen. But what you dont see is that these two games are completely different. Disney Infinity is heavily based on creating and building while Skylanders is mostly fighting and puzzles. Bashing a game for just having the same concept is like bashing the ipad for like the nexus 7. "Oh my god the nexus 7 has a touch screen what a rip off of the ipad" No this happens all the time with almost everything. Personally i like skyylanders more but thats because im bad at building and creating. You Can like one more than the other, but you cant say it sucks, especially when u havent played it

Here's a glitch for the wii u Disney infinity 1.0 to become invisible 1.when you first open the game go to the toy box 2.when the camera zooms in,and right when the character starts appearing take the character off the base 3. Your game should act like you have no character on the base,but the spark will be colored. Then put the character back on the base and you will be invisible To fix: take the character off and put it back on

It is. The release date hasn't been confirmed but they say it'll be coming to the pc sometime later this year (October most likely).

You get the PC and mobile version in October when you buy the game. You register your figures on an account which you can access from anywhere. So it's like getting the PC version for free... but you do have to have a console (at this time) to play it. I like the idea of building stuff at work on my PC, then going home and it's all there. (I begged for a PC version, and they say it's coming). I'm guessing the stand alone PC version will be released in October as well.

I was thinking about getting the figures as collectibles but the game looks good too. I loved Toy Box mode in Toy Story 3 but I felt it was too small and there wasn't much to do. It looks like they fixed that here

I'm only getting this game because of my two favourite Disney childhood movies, Incredibles and STITCH!! hell yeah I'm in. That's probably what Disney infinity has going for it, the nostalgia of our favourite characters. And the art style is rather adorable. Imagine is Nintendo did something like this.. or even sega (yes, I just said it. I love a few sega characters.. but non of you have heard of ecco have you..>.

Some great character Ideas: Stitch and some of his cousins, Buzz lightyear, Bolt, Emperor Kuzco with animal changing abilities, The rescuers, Tarzan, Kingdom Hearts, Tinkerbell and Peter pan, Max and Goofy skateboarding, Robin Hood, Yin Yang Yo, and now that they own marvel and starwars they can bring in more adults and teens to play. It would be nice if Hot Wheels did this with existing cars or Pokemon with trading cards.

Just you, they were both announced in 2010. Disney just spent 3 years and about $100 million on their game before releasing it (which to me, makes it better); while Toys for Bob rushed Skylanders and release it one year later. Skylanders wasn't even the first video game to use a toy-portal thing.

1. Graphics mean shit, don't they? 2. You can play Co-Op without buying more characters in Toy Box mode and Adventures, just not in the Play Sets. BUT, Infinity has Online Play, where Skylanders does not. 3. Skylanders is also clunky with certain characters, not to mention they only have 3 freaking moves total with weak, basic controls. The worst part about it though, is the fact that it has a very short length of gameplay with only 16 levels. D whatever you want, but Infinity is better.

I really don't know, it's £15 and from what I saw here the starter kit will offer me around 20-25 hours of gameplay before having to buy additional sets. Also do any additional sets add more story (if so how long) and do all the figures I see work with 1.0 and how does the 3ds version differ from the console one

That makes me chuckle. The core gameplay is almost completely different. I haven't played the game, but I'm pretty sure the levels are more open than skylander's linear level design.

If you're playing while connected to PSN, don't. I never log in when playing and haven't had any issues. I think it's related to a network issue that will be fixed eventually.

I agree with IGN and I don't look at this video game, like a video game, but like my room full of toys, blocks, and nick knacks of all sorts. When I was a young boy, I would build Bionicles non-stop, but I could never really fight them because their arms would wave around, and their armor would randomly fall off. But in Infinity, I can do just that without the lack of ligament control!

75$ is worth it. Each figure is 14$. Then they give u ur portal with a power disc. And then this special charm u put on the portal to unlock a rare item. It's a fair price

When I buy a game I want to be able to play most of the game (only most as dlc comes along eventually); however with this game you have to buy additional toys (which may get lost) to unlock more parts of the game

skylanders u only do arena/dungeon mode only, disney gives more options with toybox mode make your own or play someone else generated game i think its worth paying little extra plus skylanders the chars arent really remember-able, plus u can power up characters with tokens

One focuses more on action while the other focuses on building. The only concept Disney stole from Skylanders was just the buying toys to unlock charactars concept. Otherwise they're are too different things, I just hope Disney doesn't try to put any characters from their "reality" shows into this.

So no, its not a copy. Skylanders wasn't even the first video game to bring toys to life, it was already beaten to the punch by UB Funkeys. Besides, Activision is actually flattered Disney joined the Toy Party rather than angered. They are confident Skylanders will remain the top seller.

there is a pc version coming october but it be limited like iso version its free to play u can only lvl up and work with limited items like 65-70 its more console experience whats cool u can transfer back and worth because of cloud save of each character.

I think it's a fair review. While money is always an important factor, every IGN review I've seen focuses on what's inside the game and it's features, not the buyer's social status. Not saying that's the right or wrong thing to do, but it's the review policy they choose to follow.

This new "Figurine genre" seems so limiting... It means we can't mod in new playable characters ? Disney: Why limit yourself like that ? This is sad. For years, people have been speculating on what will be the WoW Killer or the Minecraft Killer (meaning it's a game so good, that it'll kill off it's predecessor).
