PES is about creating a fun soccer game, FIFA is about how much money can the game make.

Am i the only one who remembers different weather effects in the old football games... Different pitch conditions, notably different one to. This use to make playing the games more fun playing whilst its raining heavy rain making you do slide tackles further the ball will also get stuck in puddles mud gradually covering your players as the match progresses or overcast weather first starting out fine by the second half it starts to rain. Or how about snow or a sun setting leaving a orange glow on the pitch with dark shadows and alot more varied different pitch patterns have confetti or birds hec even a dog or a cat could make its way onto the pitch can't remember what football game that was back in the days. These days they should incorporate a streaker male/female possibly a special move where the streaker has 99'99 ability until they get cought and if they score the goal it stands lol

fifa is more popular but in pes you can explore a lot while in fifa its limited like in fifa have you scored same goal from the same spot in exactly same way hundreds of time with tricks and tips you can get better at fifa whereas in pes you can create your own style of play

Second comment: I noticed in Fifa that there are a lot of chunky animations, you can clearly see it if you go into replay. A player will be doing a motion then 0.1 second later he's doing an animation that wouldn't be possible from his earlier position. I don't see as much of that here on PES

looking good; animation is noticeably smoother, better transitions between one animation sequence to another without sacrificing responsiveness. noticed better lighting and less motion blur in the replay for a better presentation. from a gameplay perspective, it looks noticeably better. what remains to be seen is the extension of licensing, overall presentation, features and services, that has always been PES lacking point. also a personal disappointment is it may not be coming to switch which is becoming my preferred system to play games, but all in all, looks like another great iteration of the beautiful game.

The animations are very impressive, but konami still can't fix the funny arm animations when the players run. it looks like all the arms are long. The sliding effect when the players are turning is still there as well.

Maybe I didn't hear him properly. But around 11.30 he is pretty much confirming handicap. Saying team like Tottenham can take on Barcelona because the stats will be balanced out.

What I like about pes is the passes, the shots and the control. What I don't like is everyone is perfect at receiving the ball, the dribbling makes the ball stick like glue, and there is no dinamic movement foot-ball other than walking and running straight. But i like this more than fifa because i still feel in control of what I want to do while in fifa I always feel the game do what it wants and I'm just making sugestions instead of fully controlling the movements, shots and pases. I wish both games make something new to the gameplay like we know it. something different, a way of playing different.

It feels as though there is a pause in between every movement that is conducted by the players on the pitch. "Robotic" almost. Fifa will rule. You have to give them some competition!

Cren Shaw I have. I skipped Fifa 16 and played PES 2016 that whole season. Fifa 16 was horrible! But PES didn't impress much and from this gameplay I still see the same problems plaguing it.

PES you can add delete create teams/players/tournaments. The customization features are endless on this game that is why i like it. As soon as they fix their online modes and make many online game modes it will take off.

I normally only buy pes because it comes out 2 weeks before fifa. this year looks amazing. hope arsenal are still licensed. hope Emirates stadium is in it too.

PES by far and away the better game in terms of gameplay but they really need to work on the licensing issue of teams and players. Also need to improve their career mode and have more licensed stadiums and they could possibly put FIFA on the backburner for the next few years.

1994 - 2003 FIFA (ISS was fun though) 2003 - 2010 PES 2010 - 2016 FIFA 2016 + PES Both have positive and negative aspects. At the end of the day at least there is competition so they both improve every year (a little).

you can clearly see that sometimes players feet are sliding like they're on ice. Also, PES being more responsive than FIFA is good from a video game perspective but not from a realism perspective. Real people need to regain their footing in order to make a move, you can't change direction or whatever in a split second, mid-stride. This game looks somewhat arcadey.
