To see him still committed when he was gunned down like a dog by that vicious screaming Bridget... and he had taken Sam out of the pod and was holding him with his own hands... and in his dying words speaking of being a father and how it made him brave. He had the undying fatherly instinct to protect his child. What a precious sacrificial devotion unlike any other. So raw, innocent, and human. They wanted his baby for their purpose but how could he do anything other than what he did? he was not wrong he was the baby's father his actions were the natural actions of love. What they were doing, regardless of their intentions was at odds with that. It was a tragic situation. Also, does anyone realize how closely this parallels The Last of Us 1 ending?

But surely that’ll open another bridge between the living and the dead ? Amelie making Sam a repatriate did that.
@cosvinicios4 жыл бұрын
@@ga7901 The bridge to Amelie's beach existed before Sam was repatriated (the first voidout happened a year before, something like that). I can't explain why, but Amelie still had connections to the world of the living even as she said she would close it. When she brings Lou back she closes that connection and the Timefall/BTs disappear with it.
@ga79014 жыл бұрын
marcos vinicios that made no sense, yes the world of the living and the dead were open before sam becoming a repatriate (causing the Manhattan void out) but this was due to all these small “gateways” being opened. For example Bridget and Amelie. However sam being repatriated opened that up a lot more causing a full on bridge to the other side. Doing the same to Louise would just open another bridge not close it.
@cosvinicios4 жыл бұрын
@@ga7901 there is probably some logic that makes the repatriate of Lou value as the inverse of the repatriation of Sam, so the sum of the 2 events make it so the balance is restored. Or it was caused only by the beach being closed without having anything to do with the balance itself

you forgot a VERY important detail in the very last cutscene: Louise actually did die in Sam's arms. It was Amelie who brought Lou back to life tho, as Lou is suddenly holding Amelie's necklace after being revived, meaning she is now a repatriate too and can roam the world (just like Sam). Amelie did that as a way of apologizing to Sam for everything she has put him through, I guess. This is important since a) it confirms that Amelie is still watching over Sam (and now Louise), and b) we could actually get a SEQUEL OF DEATH STRANDING playing as Grown-Up Louise!

Really excited for a death stranding 2 if there is one, looking foward to how it will evolve gameplay wise and story. Kojima listens to his fans in his own weird way. First people were mad that raiden was the main in mgssol, then he made big boss the main in 3, people were upset about long cutscenes in 4 so he toned them way down for 5, people realised they missed longer cutscenes and a better story so he answered with this so I'm assuming ds2 will have a very diverse gameplay loop, but regardless this game was great and I couldn't put it down

Anyone who says that doesn't put emotion or thought into gaming. They are part of the gaming world that is becoming dumb and numb. Shoot to kill, get awards, rank up. This game is a masterpiece from start to finish. The inner-workings, the beauty, the thought, the emotion. Anyone who jokes about it saying it's bad, or that it's just walking, didn't actually take any time to play and understand.

Lou/Louise could be Sam's/Lucy's child. Sam's wife supposedly died during the first void out event. However just as with Sam, Amelie may have returned his daughter - Louise to the land of the living, to be used in a similar way as the gun. Although its not stated Amelie may have returned both Lucy/Louise to the living, except Lucy was then kept as a still-mother somewhere. this is speculation of course

Couple things. 1. Anyone think its strange that Amelie is forgiven for killing so many people and trying to force mass extinction to happen early? 2. I am sure deadman says they they found Sam on his own beach not Amelies. 3. I realy want to believe that the floating people each represent the ee's of past extinctions, but honestly Amelie makes a point to point them out only when the friends show up to help Sam. 4. Knowing Kojima, I wouldnt be surprised if 5 friends had some sort of connection with the 5 extinctions. Edit: forgot to mention. Why is Sam no longer effected by the rain after reviving Louise?
@cash786265 жыл бұрын
2. Yeah they find Sam on his own beak 5. Sam isn't affected by the rain after reviving Louise because Timefall has stopped, at least for a while. That's just normal rain as all the beaches are disconnected from Amelie's and can't enter the human world

All the characters have so much depth. I couldn't help but feel for Amelie. She is going against her purpose as an EE and while a total annihilation would be really bad for humanity, imagine living your entire life dreaming of the apocalypse and being pushed towards causing it. Imo, she is really strong in the end, thanks to her connection with Sam, to give him the choice to save the human race. In the end Amelie goes back to dreaming of the extinction, unable to fulfill her purpose. She goes back to being miserable, in a way Amelie is the hero here.

I did really thoroughly enjoy this game. Sure some parts were annoying but in the end it was quite worth it. I'm looking forward to either continue the post-game where I deliver packages everywhere and rebuild roads and structures for others to use, or I start a brand new game and do it all over, that time taking more of my time to do side-deliveries and get 5-stars and unlock more stuff. This first run I did kinda rush to the end as I was getting through the more difficult missions. But I'm kinda worried what would happen to my score and structures if I choose to start a new game. All the Likes I got and stuff, would it just be all gone?

the universe was inevitably made for extinction events delivered by a EE (extinction entity) on earth. 5 different extinctions took place that was delivered by 5 different people (EE), these EE were there during the birth of Earth and had one goal of creating an extinction. This was ultimately done to make sure the humans evolve into finding a better way to survive. Who could say that during the time of any of the other 5 EE there was an attempt just like sam and the others to stop this from happening again or the once. P.s When Sam was standing outside and not affected by the timefall was actually Sam experiencing normal rain for the first time, right after the rain it became sunny which normally happenes when BTs normally get cleared in the area of the timefall.
