What can theology and spirituality offer mental health? The theology of Jesuit Karl Rahner offers a means to "finding God in all things" that allows people to imagine a world truly "charged with the grandeur of God." This opens up new avenues of mindfulness and reflection on what it means to "be" in the world we share.
Paul Schutz is a Doctoral Candidate in Systematic Theology at Fordham and Assistant Director of Liturgical Music for Campus Ministry. He entered the world of theology through work as a professional liturgist and liturgical musician. His research interests include the doctrine of God and theological anthropology as viewed through the lens of science. Specifically, he explores how traditional questions of divine causality, the God-world relationship, theosis, and worship fit within the evolutionary and cosmological framework presented by scientific inquiry.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

To see God in All things. This is a level of awareness that directly involves reflection. I believe we have to quiet down to become aware and per say mindful of God in all things. Great presentation.

I find this very interesting! I believe all things are providential and it’s always good to ask yourself “what am I supposed to learn from this”. God is encompassing all things and I believe this is sort of how the Holy Spirit works within us.i think about Philippians 4:8. I don’t believe that’s something that is just suggested to do, I believe it’s a command. We should be thinking about this in all situations so we can make the proper decision in all things.

What I want is to get rid of my GAD. Does mindfulness help? People say it does; however, I have no idea how to achieve it. Does one need to shout a lot, or swear a lot, or blow steam? I just want to get rid of my GAD.

This guy talked so fast, it literally induced anxiety in me. Slowed it down to 0.75 speed and it was fine. (No, really.)

Ignatian has to do with the Jesuits? I want nothing to do with them. I went to a Jesuit school and as consequence I suffer from GAD. The nun kept on going "through the narrow path, through the narrow path". I ask through the narrow path to where? How do I get rid of my GAD?
