that's. insanity at this point. PS3 is it's own architecture completely. same with PS2. and for the emulation to make sense, the market wouls have to be far larger than just me and you wanting to play our PS3 games on a PS5 with a couple of buffs.

4k, locked 60FPS, full HDR for all PS5 games and a built in disc drive. Everybody keeps saying it's unrealistic to expect these things then the question should be asked why buy one? If significantly increased power still doesn't mean these milestones are reached then what is the point of upgrading?

Most games are sold digitally. That is a fact and it doesn’t matter how much people complain in the comments. It might seem like that is not true because of the echo chamber in the comments, but its the truth. This is the reason Sony axed the disc drive and expanded the internal storage to 2TB. These companies have all the metrics and know what they are doing. Also, it is an optional luxury console and the stand is unnecessary. Place it horizontally or vertically without the stand. Many people have been using the ps5 vertically without a stand for years without problems.

Yeah, the scales definitely tilted at some point in the past few years. Most games are also released digitally so if you're a physical only collector you're missing out on hundreds of games a year.

In Norway there is not possible to trade in disc’s anymore.. The GameStop store’s are long gone.. No game store’s left. You have to order online, and the stock/games are few..

There is much more access to physical copies when it comes to console games in comparison to PC, so buying PC to thumb someone’s nose at a more powerful console at the fraction of the cost tells something to Sony, MS and even Nintendo. That you don’t mind the loss of physical copies. Disk media costs _money_ for shelf space at stores, a lot of money to keep them prominent. Opting for PC gaming and digital downloads sends a message. So the optional drive is a way to find out if physical media is a thing they need to keep doing. You can’t have your cake and eat it to. The customer is not _always right._ That’s the Id who wants it all, not the customer. Great Coverage.

Correction about PS3: when it launched it was backwards compatible with PS2 and PS1 games. The later skus got rid of ps2 backwards compatibility

Devs and publishers have learned that if they release their game on current-gen xbox or PS5 only, and not also on PC or last -gen systems simultaneously, they will be very lucky to even recoup their expenditures let alone pull in the profits their game deserves!

I think they typically will have patches up to that point when it comes to delayed releases. At least that’s what I’ve found anecdotally so far.

5 Pro is and will be very much capable of running GTA 6 at spot on 4K 60, and if Rockstar is not putting the effort and resources to make what it should is completely on the developer, and yes the 5 Pro price is a different subject

Yeah, so…600 bucks…hmm. It seems many of you still aren’t aware of this simple and direct comparison point, which is that $600 is what Microsoft is charging for a base model Xbox series console with one extra difference: the $600 xbox has the same storage capacity as the PS5 Pro, which of course is 2TB. Of course most of you surely are aware that the Xbox series console is around 50% less powerful than a PS5 Pro. Right?!

Rockstar has not released 60 fps gta/rdr on consoles on day 1 even once. PS4 pro was already almost 2 years old when rdr2 came and that game was 30 fps. If you are expecting gta6 to be 60 fps on ps5 pro, you are delusional.
