Hi! Are you using pressure regulator? that was that red stuff connected to the tank? or just a regular hose? i bought a jetboil genesis baecamp stove and the same Ignik 5lb gas tank but doesnt work. the both is brand new. i connected the ignik hose to the jetboil fuel input side and doesnt work. the gas doesnt running to the stove. i need pressure regulator or something else?

The question I have is this: How long is the tank approved for? i.e. What is the expiry date on the tank? 20lb tanks have a date whereby they can no longer be filled without testing/valve replacement, etc. The problem is that 20lb tanks are cheap in comparison to the 5lb ones.
@guy60542 жыл бұрын
from what ive seen its 12 years but can be re certified. I'd find a local place that will do deals on bulk certs and do multiple tanks at once.

Man is the cost of that reasonable? Or would it be better to buy a 5lbs tank from HomeDepot/Amazon and get the hose? I suppose the case is a nice upgrade but damn that's expensive? What's your thought on that?
@thegearbunker98424 жыл бұрын
It's a bit pricey but having the case is a nice feature for hauling in a vehicle bed. Also, I needed this smaller size to mount to the back of my FJ Cruiser. A 5 gallon tank wouldn't fit for my application. So it made sense to me. It's more about getting rid of the disposable 1lb green tanks and using something that's refillable.

@@thegearbunker9842 - thanks for the reply - its funny because I was just looking at these things again and then I saw your reply. I agree with you on the green bottles - what a PITA.
