I had the honor of meeting this team when they competed in the Challenged Athletes Foundation annual triathlon in 2003. I have signed book from them that I treasure. What a life-changing experience that was! Now, I am writing a book chapter about highly successful individuals with disabilities who have overcome other people's expectations of them -- including Kodi Lee (Blind, autistic, musical savant; winner of America's Got Talent); Eric Weinheimer (blind; climbed Seven Summits, including Mt. Everest)... and so many others. What an incredible honor this is. NONE of them -- none of US -- do it alone!
