Ignition key Ford focus 2000.

Take the upper and lower plastic shrouds off. The top one can be removed using a flat head screwdriver and the bottom has 3 torx 20 screws holding it. You will see a black plasic ring around where the key goes into the ignition. Remove the chip from your original key and glue it somewhere around the black ring. Replace the shrouds. This is not an ideal fix, especially for security but it would save all the faffing around holding the chipped key to the ignition every time you want to start the car.
