This is why Genshin is still my fav out of all mhy games, the overwhelming amount of refs in everything. I feel fulfilled just by looking at them aaaahhh I know who I want the moment I see them, that's just how good the designs are. For now on main acc I want Kinich (green boy), Citlali (pink girl), Xilonen (tigress), and ofc Mavuika (literally the Sun!). Not sure if the budget and pull schedule allow for Capitano, but it'd be lovely to get him too. I've been saying this since Sumeru, but I really want to go in the main story as blind as possible. I haven't been able to avoid accidentally spoiling myself from overanalysing everything when playing (hench the sheer length of time I take for each quest) 😅 Currently I'm ignoring the info on the tribes to compensate for that..

Nathan's story name thing from the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview was Incandescent Ode of Resurrection. So I think the burn again thing will be the fire thing getting revived through some sort of energy obtained through the tournament fighting

@@Flame_of_Death I mean we don’t know that to be exact, final act for Inazuma was 3.1, so it could not be 5.2 who knows, 2 times is not a pattern considering Genshin also loves to change things up after 2 times. Like the region teaser trailer thing (Winter Night’s Lazzo & The Final Feast) came out on drip marketing day last 2 years, this year it comes out 3 days earlier for example.

@@Blackout_ That's why I just said "most likely", could still be wrong, but I find more evidence for it than against it. Inazuma wasn't well received in terms of pacing and Sumeru und Fontaine are loved + HSR uses the same formula of x.0-x.2 for main story and then x.3 for an epilogue type patch. Sumeru had the Interlude with Wanderer after Nahida, Fontaine had the film festival and my guess for Natlan is a tournament arc with big climax and then some loose ends which they continue or finish in 5.3 (for example the aftermath of whatever is implied by the whole resurrection thing). Marketing was never 100% predictable because of holidays, leak damage control and / or tragedies (mostly mourning periods), but I think for the game side of things they mostly found their formula for now. You are right, though, it's still a guess at the end of the day.

Hey you two, I've been following y'all for a bit but this is my first comment! I've been posting this on a few reaction videos here and there and after watching your react I think I can shed a bit of light on things, in fact I think I've actually got a good chunk of Natlan's storyline already figured out! Stay with me here, this is a lot of text, but you might find it a little fascinating, who knows? I'll start with the big question most people ask during the video - "Who is she (the archon, Mavuika) talking to, is it us?" I think she's speaking directly to Xbalanque, aka the Pyro Dragon Sovereign! Mavuika says, in short, "What we see ought to be our fate, but for now close your eyes and feel.. for with our blood we will forge our fate" while she's shown facing six flames, each flame with the symbol of one of the Tribes of Natlan in them. The significance of what she says about "blood" and "fate" is related to the ball that they pass around in the trailer; as in ancient Aztec culture they would hold ritual warfare in the form of a sport similar to modern basketball, and the losing tribe's team would be executed and their blood sacrificed to the deities.. Now keep in mind that in the Tevat Chapter Storyline trailer, Natlan's chapter is called "Incandescent Ode of Resurrection"; Incandescent meaning 'Bright Flames/Heat' & Ode meaning 'the story of'. Also, in Neuvellette's description of Xbalanque they are referred to as "One Entombed With the Primal (Primordial) Fire" and in that same dark room where the six Tribe flames are there is a single, huge flame with six different symbols circling it, which if you look closely are the symbols of the six Vishap/Dragon breeds in Natlan! Now I won't go deep into the real world lore of Xbalanque but the tldr is that they are a hero from Mayan myth who helped defeat the Gods of the Underworld. Defeating Gods, you say? hmmmm... I think Mavuika is holding the Tournament as a Wargame centered around the ball sport in order to gather the blood (or whatever similar sacrifice medium is needed) of strong warriors and use it to bring Xbalanque fully back to life. I believe that the Fatui have knowledge of ways to revive the dead to some degree based on what we've seen, so they send Capitano as he is their strongest and thus can contribute the most to the sacrifice method as he's so good at combat, and also as a show of good faith to ensure Mavuika hands over the Gnosis after the Sovereign is resurrected. As to why the Archon wants to revive the Sovereign though I can't say, especially since we know NOTHING about her or her past that we could use to gauge her motives, sadly

@@Qopa Raiden Mei from Honkai is literally split into Raiden Ei und Raiden M(akoto), so Mei just lost the M and became Ei, similar to Ei losing her other half (twin sister) and being left alone as Ei. Nahida is rather similar to Theresa from HI3 (lore wise), Kiana is definitely the Unknown God, Venti and Wendy are definitely inspired by each other, the Tsaritsa was literally named Bronya in the beta of the game... you can't really believe that this game is not connected, especially when they said that HI3, HSR und Genshin are all part of the same universe (Honkaiverse / Hoyoverse). The only two games that are officially a little less connected are Tears of Thermis and ZZZ, but Pela from HSR is a fan of a book series that is a clear reference to ToT. Even a lot of the stories overlap if you replace Honkai with Stellarons from HSR or Abyssal Power from Genshin. You are in denial if you don't see the similarities. And then there's also the fact that a lot of them have the exact same CN and JP VAs - Miyuki Sawashiro for example voices Raiden Mei, Raiden Ei / Raiden Makoto / Raiden Shogun and Acheron ... that is no coincidence. They even play on the fact that Raiden Mei can cook, Raiden Ei can't cook and Acheron loved to cook, but doesn't anymore. They wouldn't add this kind of flavor text otherwise.

​ @Flame_of_Death first up, I've played hi3 up to chapter 41 into hi3 part 2. I quit at the point where we had to play scissor puzzle in one of the events, but worth noting that I've played hi3 for over a year now to be able to spot the difference. Having similar names and face don't make them a complete variant. It's like saying a goblin in goblin slayer is a variant of some other goblin in other animes or games because they borrow elements from Dungeon and Dragons. What you really have to take into account of is everything beyond them looking similar or has similar names. If you remove their name and face, they're not even remotely similar. That's especially true with makoto and Ei. Btw, raiden mei has no siblings if you didn't noticed. ------------------------------------------------- The closest to "himeko variant" is the himeko from HSR coz if valkyrie didn't existed in hi3, Himeko would've pursue the career path that HSR himeko had went for. ---------------------------------------------- Nahida, again, had no similarity to theresa. Look more like the elf tbh with you. Not even her name. Lore ain't even the same either coz theres no otto in GI. If you're talking about the clones, kusanali was essentially her only mother. In fact, if you're gonna go over the lore, Nahida didn't kill kusanali to take her place under the order of Otto, or another person/look-alike who could've been the equivalent to Otto in GI's sumeru lore. ---------------------------------------------- Kiana isn't the unknown god, thats not even Kiana. And if you want to compare it, that's HoV. But again, we have no info beyond similar design which doesn't prove anything coz the heavenly principles in GI is the equivalent to Greek or Norse mythology/deities/gods. -------------------------------------------------- Venti had no relation to Wendi beyond similar name. Wendi story was so pitifully non-existent, very npc, and if you even look at Wendi's and Venti's lore. It ain't even the same. Venti's body isn't even his, thats from his deceased friend because Venti is originally a flying spirit ball thingy until he "stole" his friend's form. ----------------------------------------------- Tsaritsa isn't bronya no matter how you look at it. there's no similarity, even her description had nothing to do with any hi3 characters... really cope here. Btw, Tsaritsa was implied as a character that cries a lot/very vengeful in the current GI's story. Before the catalysm, she was portrayed by Venti as a kind, innocent, and loving character. Which btw, bronya who has no personality and acts really robotic most of the time isn't a valid comparison. ---------------------------------------------- You just came up with a bunch of unconfirmed/cherry picking lies to validate your own point... Is this just an occurence of hi3 fans having a brainrot moment coz Shaoji ran away from hi3 to write hsr story?

It's actually more the Ring of Fire since Muvaika is similar to Muhaika which is a Maori fire goddess... and the shark girl could easily reference Hawaii while all the other move down the coast of North and South America in terms of their reference material.

Tbh the more people ask for playable characters to "die" in game, I just feel disappointed. It's been asked about for years at this point. It's not like we actually NEED playables to meet their end, and whether or not it adds a dynamic (good or bad) isn't the main point. Rather, HOW they go about it is key. Not in Genshin, but technically in HSR we have Tingyun and Gallagher who are "dead" in the story currently. But I still use them there because there's still hope that they actually haven't passed or they still exist in some way. Maybe less so for Gallagher but hey he has a Super Break team alongside Firefly and I'm not ditching my most invested team thus far just yet. But if Genshin were to pull off a playable death, I feel like I wouldn't be able to use that character ever again, including the teapot and their voicelines. This will be me, unless there was hope that they still existed in some way. Immersion, after all.
