I think how it works is that in end, "talking smack" is ALL they have left.

Holy shit this slapped to the soul. I've always been a loner, one who focused on my craft, im a welder, ive walked through life alone, hearing all my peers in the work place always talking shit about me being weird or socially awkward as im working through lunch breaks, smoke breaks never stopping til its time to punch that clock, just grinding and honing my craft in solitude to better myself one weld at a time, ive always cared to much about what people say, the insults, the doubts, but I eventually realized that I surpassed them eons ago. You just go ahead and keep wasting your time watching me, talking about me, but I'll always be ahead of you, out performing you, and at the end of the day I made myself inexpendable, while you are just dead weight to the company by only focusing on gossip all day, while some of us grind. If your focused about everyone around you, then you aren't focused on you or your own grind and won't even make gains anywhere in life.

Well done my friend. Be what you want to be. They don't define you. It's your life and your script which you write. Insecure haters everywhere

@kyliezane2960 I went to trade school for my certifications. But alot of shops will hire and train people how to weld themselves. Alot of places don't usually require certification, usually just a weld test to see what you can do, and I've seen people get hired before that laid the ugliest welds on the test but he was willing to learn and be hired for a little bit less per hour. I'd just find shops all around you and start applying, someone is bound to hire you if you just be upfront and tell them you want learn and get into the trade. Offer to take a little wage cut til your proficient. Welders are getting harder to find because younger generations are leaning out of skilled trade, so they will likely take anyone wanting to learn. Some places will even pay to have you certified down the road if you put in the effort. Good luck man.
