Happy to help! I have a lot more helpful videos as well. But I recommend figuring things out a little before jumping into some of them. Theres a lot of neat tricks in the game. Commentary: You don't need to go making an axe for a while if you don't want to. It is faster, yes, but you can use up the durability on the stone tool then make the refined knife. Use up the durability on the refined knife, and then leave it by your fire for skinning. Stone tools are perfectly good for dealing with yucca and palm saplings, and you will build a surplus of used up ones that you will convert into refined spears or other tools later on. I don't bother making an axe until I go to another island with the intention of chopping a significant amount of wood. Much like with everything else, use the crude axe until it's nearly broken as well as the stone tools THEN make the refined axe. It takes more time but maximizes your resources. Since rocks are limited it's worth it to use them wisely and get the most bang for the buck out of all your tools. For the starter island, it's best not to build a water still or smoker *unless* you did a quick wreck dive and happened to find some extra cloth. Instead, make a 2x1 raft and use your cloth for a sail and rudder. You can do just fine living off coconuts for a day or two, and save the rations. Taking a swim around midday goes a long way to keeping your SPF high, and it's a good time to check around for clay deposits or wrecks while you have the most visibility. 8 crude spears can deal with sharks, if you use a ship or lure them in close to the shallows. I don't recommend fighting sharks early on, especially if you are food/water insecure, it's better to just make a small raft and dip to another island to get some extra cloth.

I swear I have blisters on my fingers from the friction fire! LOL I accidentally ate a ration as soon as I first picked them up and now I'm at the part where I need a crab but only find sea cucumbers and starfish I can't eat. Still in this video's tutorial and on day 3 now I have had to eat two rations and am out of fiber. Now it's getting Real! I search and searched to find this video again. I have to agree with other commentators. I tried playing this game multiple times previously each time following the tutorial and each time ending up in dire straights very quickly. Each time my frustration had me leaving the game. I accidentally stumbled onto your guide here and decided to blindly do exactly what you suggested and I turned the tutorial off right away and only did what you suggest here. Since then, I've repeated my experience a second time and both games have been successfully started. Thank you so much. Wow... that steps should be added to the normal tutorial. Really. I go almost the same steps as you, but in addition I try to use up the stone tools to 1-5% and then craft a refined knife and a crude axe. Also the cococut trick was really useful. Never thought of it, but since you showed it, I do it every time. 😉

Is there a way to check how close you are to a milestone like Harvesting? After I harvested from the 2nd Yucca tree my harvesting did not go up. I chopped down some more trees and gather stuff and it's still not going up. I guess it will happen eventually if they didn't change it in an update. I'm playing version v1.0.38.0.29. - Edit - My question was answered at 4:46. It's in the watch.

watching your cute video i remember the first time i played stranded, last december. I open my game and after the crash I appear standing up floating in my yellow raft. I said to myself: well, ready, on the mainland. I remember seeing a shark circling me and I felt a chill. I told myself: I'm already a dead woman, that bug is going to eat me 😄😄😁. I come ashore and read on the top left: collect resources. let's do it. I picked up a stick, a stone and a needle plant. I remember walking and thinks: what the hell do I do with this needle plant in my hands now? 😄😄😄well, for that I have a tutorial, that thought makes me happy. I read at the top left again: kill a crab. I thought: it's not that difficult to kill a crab, for that I picked up two sticks, theoretically with one stick I can kill a simple crab. I open my inventory, take out my stick and start to chase the crab with the stick in hand to kill it 😄😄😄😄. my God. I didn't make it, of course.🙃🙃 in that chase it became night. Without water, without food, I wasted the day chasing the unhappy crab😀😀. then I thought: maybe with the stick I can kill a fish to eat. I jump into the water with the stick in my hand. The only thing I did was get 2 bites from a tiger shark. I lost that game jjjjjjj😊😊😊 keep uploading stranded videos. kiss

There are 2 pieces of cloth on every island. Cloth can be found in Crates on shipwrecks but it's not very reliable. Cloth can also be crafted with 4 fiberous leaves and a Loom. Those are the only ways. Hope you find it!!!!

Because this is made for myself. When I was brand new to the game. After 600 hours, I know how to mitigate the dangers of another island without being encumbered by thirst, hunger, sunstroke, poison and bleeding. The tutorial is rudimentary and is here to teach you how to stay alive long enough to not feel the need to start over again. I have plans to make an intermediate tutorial that will expand on this. "What to do after the tutorial" or even "What to do once you know what you're doing"

If you are new. By the time you craft or find a hammer, figure out the buttons, figure out the crafting menu, get your footing. You'll be hungry, thirsty, probably poisoned and rushing to craft an antidote that you need to level up to craft. This is rudimentary and intended to keep you alive long enough to figure out the game. Once you're used to it, you'll know what to do. Besides. I suggest swimming to the next island to level up your physical quickly. haha I could make a tutorial for intermediate and advanced players and all 3 would be different.

This game sucks on Xbox. The fact you can't remap the controller to get rid of RT as the "action" button makes lighting fires almost impossible. How can you light a fire when you alternate between LT and RT but RT moves you forward every time and cancels the action. Fukin useless!

I have a Series X and i guess i’ve been spoiled by good looking and 60-120 fps games, cause this looks and plays pretty bad to me 🫤 It’s a fun game but i wish the devs would at least release a 60 fps patch and increase the graphical quality for next gen.
