IGS Authenticates and Grades Bootleg VHS (EPIC FAIL!)

Who would want to pay $1,750.00 for Seed of Chucky lol? That is utterly insane, that tape is worth a nickel at best. I'll shamefully admit I actually saw this in theaters lol and I own it on blu ray but it came with the box set. I want to point something out here, the unrated version of Seed of Chucky was never put out on VHS, it was only available on DVD when it was first released on home video. I worked at a Hollywood Video at the time and I never saw the unrated VHS on the shelf, just the R rated version. There is a screener VHS of the unrated version but that is it, there was never an unrated tape for rental or retail. From the looks of what you're showing, they just took the unrated DVD cover and scanned it onto a VHS slip (very poorly too lol) because the unrated VHS doesn't exist. Are these guys serious lol?!

Thanks for doing this! I cannot fathom doing this to people like with this Chucky tape. I get anxious over even $4-$12 tapes I sell in my shop. Actually got a tape here to my left I suspect a bootleg but cannot tell, so I will not sell it for that reason... an this is $4 to $5 range... they're doing this in the thousands of dollars. NO WAY MAN! Horrible.

I only upgrade to UHD for my most loved movies. Otherwise, even with a decent set up, I don't think most movies benefit a whole lot from 4k. At least the types of movies I watch.

I always wondered that myself. There must be some very close relationship between Bill and this BooBerry guy. Whenever Bill would allow a release to fall out of print, Boo miraculously has a ton of them and would rake in the dough. Clearly orchestrated.

Theres not even a unrated vhs or unrated covered version such as the dvd like that except for the screening demo tape for retailers. But that one still doesnt say unrated The only copies on vhs are rated R Atleast in america…

grading sealed products is one thing, but imagine trying to grade a used tape! you would have to inspect everything, spools, screws, tape guides and labels. even the tape itself. how could any average grading company handle this sort of thing?? its a total SCAM

Hi there I am avid collector of Beta and VHS as that’s where my memories lie and it’s what I grew up on. I also have a decent laserdisc collection video games and I have over a million baseball cards in my personal collection. So with that being said - I hate grading - cards eh whatever I’ll pick them up by I am smarter than the average best boo-boo. As in terms of movies - people like IGS, Heritage, Wata, yadda yadda are all frauds. Yes I collect sealed stuff vhs beta laser games so on why? Because it’s cool and I don’t have any interest in selling to me it’s an archival thing I love the history, the art and just the simplistic time these come from. I also used to work for blockbuster and Hollywood video so I love buying former rentals. It’s a hobby and it should be enjoyable and for these worms like IGS and so forth come out of the woodwork to ruin the hobby or try to pull the wool over someone who is just starting out eyes. Fu**em hope they get what comes to them - talking about IGS and wata and so on. Their “bubble” will burst eventually because they will flood the market with crap…their loss and we as true hobbyist and collectors will be there to pick up the pieces. Long live Beta and VHS and more!
